The programme duration may differ from the values indicated above as it depends on the operation
conditions applicable at that time (see also “Troubleshooting Guide” in your Instructions for Use).
*Reference programme for Energy and Water Labelling, according to the Australian Standards
AS/NZS 2040.1 and AS/NZS 2040.2.
Load the laundry, close the door and turn the
programme selector to the desired programme -
the “Start/Pause” indicator blinks. The temperature
and spin speed shown on the display can be
altered by pressing the “Temperature” or “Spin”
button.
If you do not use the Dosing Aid, add detergent
now. The washing machine is designed to save
energy; therefore, if you have selected a
programme but do not start it within about a
quarter of an hour, it will switch off automatically.
To switch it on again, turn the programme selector
to “Off/O” and then to the desired programme
again.
This feature offers the possibility to select and save,
out of a list of 8 special programmes, the one that
most meets your needs.
When you select the “MyProgram” position, a code
ranging from “P01” to “P08” will appear on the
display (see programme table to understand which
programme corresponds to the displayed code).
Use the “+” and “-” buttons to select the available
programmes, and button “Ok” to confirm your
choice. If you do not confirm it within a few seconds,
the selected programme is automatically
confirmed, and its default settings appear on the
display.
You can now select options or modify temperature/
spin speed, as you do it for any other programme,
according to the possibilities indicated in the
programme table. Once a programme of the
“MyProgram” list has been confirmed, it will be
remembered next time you select “MyProgram”
on the selector.
If the combination programme/option or option/
option is not possible, the indicator switches off
automatically.
For certain programmes, an option may already be
preset; if you want you can deselect it.
“Colours 15° plus” button
• Helps to maintain the colours of dark and
coloured laundry by pre-treatment with fabric
softener, before the main wash cycle.
• Your laundry will be washed with cold water; thus
you save most of the energy used for water heating.
• Appropriate for lightly soiled dark and coloured
laundry without stains, made of cotton/linen,
synthetics or blends of both. Recommendable for
new garments of that type which usually fade most
during the first washes. - Make sure that the fabrics
are suitable to be treated with softener.
• Use detergent for coloured or dark laundry which
is appropriate also for cold wash temperatures
(15 or 20°C).
• Add the recommended amount of liquid fabric
softener to the PREWASH chamber of the
detergent dispenser; respect the dosing
recommendations on the softener bottle.
• If you intend to use liquid detergent for the main
wash, add the additional insert delivered with
your washing machine to the MAIN WASH
chamber of the detergent dispenser.
Observe the indications in your Instructions for
Use / Where to put Detergents and Additives.
IMPORTANT: Do not add the insert to the main
wash chamber when using powder detergent for
the main wash.
• This option will prolong the programme by
about half an hour.
• Not Selectable for Cotton 70 - 95°C.
“BioStain 15°” button
• Supports the removal of stains.
• The programme you selected will begin with a cold
water wash phase; this will prolong the programme
duration by about 10 minutes.
• Appropriate for all kinds of stains, except grease/
oil.
• Pre-treatment recommended for obstinate
stains.
• Not selectable for Cotton 70 - 95°C.
“Rapid” button
• Enables quicker washing by shortening the
programme duration.
• Recommendable for only lightly soiled laundry.
• Not selectable for Cotton 70 - 95 °C.
“Prewash” button
• Adds a prewash cycle to the wash programme
selected; prolongs the programme by about a
quarter of an hour.
• Recommended for heavily soiled laundry (e.g.
containing sand or granular dirt).
• Do not use liquid detergent for the main wash
when activating the “Prewash” option.

“Spin” button (incl. “Rinse Hold” )
• Select a spin speed differing from the preset one.
• Press the button to set another spin speed.
• If you select spin speed “0”, the final spinning is
cancelled and the water is drained out only.
However, intermediate spin phases remain
during the rinse.
• If you select “Rinse hold” , the laundry remains
in the last rinse water without progressing to the
final spin cycle, to avoid creasing and prevent
colours from changing. To activate the “Rinse
hold”, press the “Spin” button repeatedly until the
“Rinse hold” symbol on the display lights up.
- The wash programme stops to “Rinse hold”
when the “Rinse hold” symbol on the
display blinks; the “Start/Pause” indicator
blinks as well.
- To terminate the “Rinse hold” by spinning the
laundry, press “Start/Pause” - the laundry will be
spun with the default spin speed. You can also
select another spin speed with the “Spin” button
before you start the spin cycle with “Start/
Pause”.
- To terminate the “Rinse hold” by draining the
water without spinning, press the “Spin”
button until spin speed “0” appears on the
display; then press “Start/Pause” to start the
draining.
- Do not leave the laundry to soak for too long
in the “Rinse hold” (especially silk!).
With this function you can postpone your programme
to complete at a later time: press the button to select
in how many hours the programme shall be finished.
Thus, it allows you to have your laundry ready at a
particular time and to profit from more favourable
energy rates during the night, for example.
• Do not use liquid detergent when activating this
function.
• The time until the “Cycle end” can be selected in
full hour time segments (1 to 24 h). When you
press the button, the shortest possible time will
be displayed; keep on pressing the button to loop
through all the available times. To remove it
again, keep on pressing the button until you see
the value “0:00”.
• When you have selected the desired time until
the “Cycle end”, press “Start/Pause” - the
countdown will begin.
• During the countdown, you can still modify the
programme setting (select or deselect options,
change spin speed etc.). If the modifications
prolong the programme duration so that it
overruns the originally set time until the “Cycle
end”, the programme will start immediately.
• Sometimes the programme may finish before
the selected time until the “Cycle end” has
expired (e.g. for small loads). In this case, the
washing machine will tumble the laundry
regularly to keep it fresh, until the selected
“Cycle end” time has expired. During tumbling,
the display will show an animation. The
tumbling phase can be stopped at any time
either by pressing any button or by rotating the
programme selector; the animation will stop
and the door will unlock in about 1 minute as
indicated on the display.
With the “Dosing Aid” button, you can make your
washing machine indicate you the recommended
detergent quantity for your wash load, depending on
the soil level selected and the size of the load.
• Helps to save detergent and protect the
environment and also sensitive skin by avoiding
detergent overdosing.
• Before you use this function, you must adapt the
washing machine to the dosing amounts which
are recommended for the detergents you use.
Also check if your region’s water hardness
corresponds with the water hardness level “soft”
of your washing machine - if not adapt it.
• Select programme, options and cycle end
BEFORE using the “Dosing Aid” button.
For any details, refer to the separate “Dosing Aid”
Instructions for Use.
Before starting and after end of a programme, the
indicator lights to show that the door can be opened.
As long as a wash programme is running, the door
remains locked and must on no account be forced
open. In case you have an urgent need to open it
during a running programme, refer to “Reset a
running programme before the end”.
The “Eco monitor” gives you a rough feedback about
the power consumption of the programme setting
you selected.

ECO MONITOR
As soon as you turn the programme selector to any
programme, the “Eco monitor” is on.
.
The indicator on the left is to show that the “Eco
monitor” is active. The four indicators next to it show
the degree of consumption: the less power your
programme setting is forecasted to consume, the less
indicators will light up. This depends on the
programme, temperature and options selected, and
also on the size of the wash load. For that reason, the
forecasted degree of power consumption may adapt
when the washing machine detects the wash load.
When you select a programme, the drum light will
slowly go on to assure a good visibility during laundry
loading.
• After starting your programme with “Start/
Pause”, the drum light will fade on and off while
the washing machine detects the laundry load.
Subsequently, it will go off.
• When the programme is finished, the light goes
on again for a short time; afterwards it will go off
automatically to save energy. If you want to
switch it on again for unloading your laundry,
just press any option button or turn the
programme selector (but not to “Off/O”).
The drum light will blink fast when a failure is
detected.
Open the tap and press the “Start/Pause” button.
The “Start/Pause” indicator lights up. When the
laundry load is detected or the programme
duration is adapted, the display shows an
animation.
Prevents children from starting a wash cycle or
changing the settings of a running programme.
Cannot be activated or deactivated when the
programme selector is in the “Off/O” position.
To activate the child lock:
• Turn the programme selector to a programme
position, or run a programme as usual.
• Press the 2 buttons marked with the key symbol
simultaneously for at least 3 seconds. A key-like
symbol will shortly appear on the display to indicate
that the child lock is active.
Any time you try to change a programme setting
with active child lock, the display will briefly show the
key-like symbol. The programme setting cannot be
changed anymore. The only change possible is to
switch the washer off by turning the programme
selector to the “Off/O” position. To deactivate the
child lock, proceed in the same way as for activating
it.
If one of the failure indicators lights up, or in case of
any malfunction, consult the “Troubleshooting Guide”
in your Instructions for Use.
Spin speed on display blinks: Unbalance during
spinning.
• The “Door open” indicator lights up.
The display shows “End”. After about a quarter
of an hour, the washing machine will switch off
completely to save energy.
1. Turn the programme selector to the “Off/O”
position.
2. Close the water tap.
3. Open the door and unload the machine.
4. Leave the door ajar to allow the drum to dry.
The symbol will light up at the end of the
programme if you used too much detergent.
Use less detergent next time.
1. Press the “Start/Pause” button to pause the
programme. The indicator blinks.
2. Select the new programme, temperature, any
options and another spin speed if you want.
3. Press the “Start/Pause” button again. The new
programme continues at the same position
where the previous programme was
interrupted. Do not add detergent for this
programme.
