PRODUCT DESIGNATION

• The buer tank is not intended for instal-

lation in a domestic hot water system.

• BUFOR 0W buer tanks are intended for

installation in central heating installations

and are used to accumulate heat in heating

systems, increase the eciency of heating

devices, extend their life, and can be a source

of heat in themselves if a heater is installed in

the buer tank.

• The buer tank also functions as a hydraulic

clutch.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

• BUFOR 0W buer tanks are made of cer-

tied S235JR steel, with a high-quality an-

ti-corrosion coating on the outside.

• They have four pairs of connection stubs

(supply and return) for connecting heat

sources and heating circuits in various con-

gurations.

• In the middle of the upper bottom of the

tank there is a connector for mounting the

automatic tank air vent, it is also possible to

use this connector as a heating circuit supply.

• At the bottom of the tank there is an addi-

tional connector for draining water from the

tank, which can also be used as a return from

the heating circuit.

• Any of the 6/4" diameter stubs can be used

to mount the heater.

• The tanks are equipped with four stubs for

mounting temperature sensors in them to-

gether with an immersion sleeve.

• There are three layers of insulation on the

outside of the tanks: closed-cell rubber

insulation with a thickness of 6 mm, thermal

insulation made of polystyrene foam with a

thickness of 100 mm, the whole thing is cov-

ered with top insulation - a protective cover

made of eco-leather fastened with a zipper.

• The insulation can be removed for easier

transport of the tank to the boiler room.

DELIVERYAND ITS SCOPE

• The standard equipment of the product

may dier depending on the target mar-

ket and the ordered version.

• The buer tank is delivered complete (with

insulation) on a pallet.

• The device should be stored at a positive

temperature in a dry and clean place, without

aggressive substances, protected against

mechanical, chemical and thermal damage.

• The set with the buer tank includes: plastic

stub plugs, a plug for the inspection/draining

stub and an instruction manual.

• The buer tank is packed in foil and cannot

be turned over during transport. For easy

unpacking, the tank can be slightly tilted to

all sides.

CONNECTIONS

TANK SELECTION TO HEATING SYSTEM

ASSEMBLY

• The tank should be installed in accor-

dance with applicable law in a given

country and in accordance with applica-

ble regulations by an authorized installa-

tion company.

• The device should be stored at a positive

temperature in a dry and clean place,

without aggressive substances, pro-

tected against mechanical, chemical and

thermal damage.

• In the case of installation in a closed system,

it is required to use a safety valve with an

opening pressure below the maximum work-

ing pressure of the buer tank.

• The installation must be conrmed by an

entry in the warranty card.

• We recommend placing the buer tank in a

room with a temperature of +2 °C to +45 °C

and a relative humidity of up to 80%.

• It is forbidden to install the tank in a place

exposed to negative temperatures and the

risk of freezing water in the tank, in a place

where there is a risk of explosion, in places

where the tank may be exposed to water

vapor or ammonia and other substances that

may have a negative impact on the life of the

tank.

• When planning the installation site, it is

necessary to take into account an emergency

situation in the event of a water leak from

the buer tank and make an installation to

drain it and take all preventive measures to

prevent such a situation.

• The tank should be connected in such a way

that it can be disconnected for maintenance

purposes and, for example, to enable re-

placement of the heater or the possibility of

its subsequent installation.

• A shut-o valve cannot be installed between

the safety valve of the heating system and

the accumulation tank.

• The buer tank should be installed in a place

where easy access can be obtained for possi-

ble maintenance, repair or replacement, and

allowing access to the control of the safety

valve.

• It is recommended to use an on-line dirt lter

to ensure the proper operation of the safety

valve.

• It must be ensured that water is drained from

the safety valve in the event of its emergen-

cy activation.

• Unused stub pipes and places for tempera-

ture sensors should be plugged with plugs

and insulated.

CONNECTION TO THE WATER SUPPLY

SUPPLY

• The installation should be secured in ac-

cordance with applicable standards.

• The tank is designed to work only with water

and/or propylene glycol.

• It is possible to use a corrosion inhibitor addi-

tive that meets the following parameters: pH

from 8.7 to 9.2 for mixed steel/copper in-

stallation, pH above 9.2 for steel installation,

oxygen content mg/l O2 less than or equal to

0, 1.

• Spigots/connections that are not used

should be closed with a plug and insulated.

• A safety valve with an initial opening pres-

sure of 1.5 bar should be installed on the tank

vent stub.

• The safety valve should be installed in accor-

dance with the valve's instruction manual,

paying attention to the proper direction of

water ow and the arrows on the valve (must

be consistent).

• It is necessary to anticipate the possible

emergency activation of the liquid discharge

through the safety valve and use its free,

appropriate outow and safe discharge.

LIQUID FILLING

• Before lling with liquid, make sure that

all unused connections/pipes are plugged

with plugs.

• From the factory, only the lower inspec-

tion/desilting connection (in the middle

• The appropriate capacity of the accumulation tank is designed by a designer or a person with

appropriate knowledge in the eld of designing heating systems.

ASSEMBLY, CONNECTION

• It is recommended to use an on-line dirt

lter to ensure the proper operation of

the safety valve.

• Frequent replacement of the heating me-

dium causes faster wear of the tank.

• Vent the tank regularly, check the water level

in the heating system and ensure the cor-

rect concentration of the corrosion inhibitor

additive in the heating liquid to extend the

life of the tank.

the tank is vented.

• The level of the heating liquid should be

monitored.

• In case of losses of the heating liquid, its level

should be relled.

• If there is a risk of freezing of the heating

liquid, it is essential to empty the tank so

that the freezing liquid does not damage the

tank.

INSTALLATION OF THE ELECTRIC HEATER

• The heater should be connected through

a socket with a grounding pin and pro-

tected with a residual current device.

• It is possible to connect the heater to the

electrical network only aer lling the

tank with heating liquid.

INSTALLATION OF TEMPERATURE

SENSORS

• In the places provided for the temperature

sensor, rst screw in the immersion sleeve

(capillary) of a properly selected length, tak-

ing into account the thickness of the insula-

tion (recommended minimum is 200mm).

• Insert the temperature sensor into the

sleeve, making sure it is fully inserted.

• Insulate the whole thing to ensure that the

sensor indicates the correct temperature.

• Verify the correctness of temperature read-

ings on the controller to which the tempera-

ture sensors are connected.

ASSEMBLY, CONNECTION

SAFETY OF USE

• Repairs should be entrusted to specialists

with appropriate qualications, depend-

ing on the scope of repairs.

• Do not use the device without a function-

al safety valve.

• Regularly check the operation of the safety

valve in accordance with the safety valve

operating instructions - if there is no water

outow when checking the valve, it means

the valve is faulty, in the case of continuous

water leakage from the valve, check the valve

cone (rinse the valve)

• Do not block the discharge opening of the

safety valve.

• Do not use the device if there is no ow

through the safety valve.

• Flammable materials must not be stored

near the tank.

• The tank's coating and insulation are made

of ammable materials, in case of exposure

to re, it may damage the outer casing and

thermal insulation.

MAINTENANCE

WITHDRAWAL FROM USE / DISPOSAL

• Aer the product has been taken out of service, ensure that the product and all accessories are

disposed of in accordance with applicable regulations.

3. Klimosz Sp. z o. o. guarantees the

correct operation of the device

and the free removal of irregular-

ities in operation subject to the

guarantee, only if it is installed and

used in accordance with applicable

regulations and standards and with

all the conditions and recommen-

dations contained in the Operation

and Installation Manual, and if

none of the elements of the tank

shows signs of mechanical and

thermal damage, burns, ooding,

signs of aggressive atmosphere

(including manhole fumes), chemi-

cal agents.

4. The Operation and Installation

Manual and the Detailed Warranty

Terms and Conditions are available

for inspection before purchasing

the tank on the Klimosz website:

www.klimosz.pl, and the tanks

assigned to a given copy are

issued to the Buyer at the time of

purchase. The Buyer is obliged to

familiarize himself with the rules

of assembly and operation of the

tank, which are included in the

Operation and Installation Manual

and with the Warranty Terms and

Conditions.

5. The warranty for the device is

provided in the territory of the

Republic of Poland, devices with

documentation and rating plate in

Polish are not subject to warranty

outside the territory of the Repub-

lic of Poland.

6. The warranty for the tank oered

for markets other than Poland

(having a nameplate in the lan-

guage of the target market) is pro-

vided by the distributor / importer.

7. Only original spare parts pur-

chased from the Manufacturer

through the ocial online store:

sklep.klimosz.pl, Klimosz Autho-

rized Service/Installer or Klimosz

Authorized Commercial Partners

should be used in the tanks.

8. The manufacturer is not responsi-

ble for:

• for improperly selected

tank capacity and improper

interaction of the tank and the

heating system

• using the tank without a func-

tioning safety valve

• for defects caused by handling

and operation inconsistent

with the Operating Manual

• for non-compliant connection

of the tank to the heating

system

• for mechanical damage to the

tank

• for damage caused by the

product during its operation

or breakdown

• for freezing of the installation

and other building elements

as a result of tank failure

• for the cost of replacement

heating incurred during the

removal of the defect of the

device under complaint

• for damages resulting from

tank downtime

• for damages and failures of

the device caused by weather

conditions, such as lightning,

gusts of wind

• for damage and damage

caused by draining water from

the system, incorrect opera-

tion due to the installation of

incorrect parts

• without an ecient water

pressure reducer, the warranty

will be voided

9. Repairs or replacement of parts do

not extend the warranty period.

10. Any repairs and activities exceed-

ing the scope of the user's activ-

ities described in the Operation

Manual may only be carried out

by Klimosz and VCS Authorized

Service.

11. Any arbitrary changes to the tank

structure result in the loss of the

warranty.

12. The manufacturer provides a

5-year warranty for the tightness

of the buer tank, and a 2-year

warranty for other components.

13. The warranty periods are valid

from the date of sale entered in the

warranty card.

14. The condition of the warranty

is assembly in accordance with

applicable law in a given country,

in accordance with applicable reg-

ulations, used in accordance with

its intended use, rules of use and

maintenance.

15. Proof of purchase is required for

the warranty to be valid.

WARRANTY TERMS

NOTES ON THE TERMS OF THE WARRANTY

• Damage resulting from failure

to meet the above conditions

cannot be the subject of claims for

damages.

• If the tank works according to the

rules presented in this Operating

Manual, it does not require any

special interventions of the service

company.

• The manufacturer reserves the

right to make any changes to

the tank structure as part of the

modernization and development of

the product, which changes do not

have to be included in this copy of

the Manual.

• The above Guarantee Terms do not

exclude the user's rights arising

from the non-compliance of the

goods with the contract.

• We kindly inform you that the

possible replacement of the

component complained about by

the user with a functional one is

not tantamount to recognition

by the Klimosz Company of the

warranty claims of the tank user

and does not end the complaint

handling procedure.

• Klimosz reserves the right to

charge, within 180 days from the

date of repair, the user of the

tank with the costs of replacing/

repairing a component which,

during the expert opinion carried

out aer the repair, was found to

be damaged by factors beyond the

control of the device manufacturer

(e.g. short circuit in the electrical

system, overvoltage, ooding,

mechanical damage invisible to the

naked eye, etc.), and the damage of

which the repair service is unable

to assess during repair at the place

of operation of the device.

• Klimosz will issue an appropriate

invoice for the replacement/repair

of the subassembly in question,

together with the attached expert

report.

• At the same time, we would like

to inform you that the lack of

payment for the invoice covering

the above-mentioned costs within

14 days of its issuance results in

the irrevocable loss of the warranty

for the tank you use, and this

information will be registered in

our computer tank supervision

system during the warranty period.

• The date of payment is the date

when your payment is credited to

the bank account provided in this

invoice.
