Klipsch kmc1 Battery Replacement
Also use this procedure if a system
reset is needed.

Tool needed -- #2 Phillips Screwdriver

Remove 2 screws from bottom cover.

Second Screw

Lift front edge of battery cover.

Lift off cover and set aside.

Battery exposed.

You may need to tip the unit up to help get the
battery out. The foam makes a tight fit.

Pull the battery out to this point.

Here you can see the battery cable.

Slowly and gently use a finger to work the battery cable
out. Pull gently on the battery with the other hand.

If you feel the cable is stuck…
•The cable may be wrapped around another
cable… Don’t force it; you don’t want to break a
wire.
•The connector may be caught on the edge of the
battery cage. Gently moving the cable around
can get the connector past the edge of the
battery cage.
•If the cable is stuck, opening the front baffle (not
covered here) will be necessary to prevent
damage to the wiring/connectors.

When you see or feel the connector emerge,
stop pulling. (Indicated by screwdriver.)

Disconnect the battery. Use two
hands to gently pull the connect apart.

The connector only fits one way. Do
not force the connection.

Connect/reconnect the battery.

The connector and wire needs to be
fed back through the battery cage.

Use a finger to tuck the cable inside
the slot.

Keep tucking the cable into the slot
until you get to this point.
