1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
1.1 Console
The equipment's functioning state is displayed by the console. Many types of displays and the
available settings based on the selected menu can be made by accessing the menu using key 3
(SET).
Figure 1 shows the display in equipment on or off conditions.

Figure 3 describes the meaning of the state signals on the display's left wall (1st LED SERIES).

ROOM THERMOSTAT: the LED is on when room thermostat contact is open.
CHRONO-THERMOSTAT: the LED is on when at least one ignition and switch-off program is active.
IGNITION RESISTANCE: the LED is on when ignition resistance is active.
SCREW FEED: the LED is on when the pellet load motor reducer switches on.
FLUE GAS EXTRACTOR: the LED is on when the flue gas intake device is active.
DHW FLOW SWITCH: the LED is on when DHW flow switch contact is closed (DHW is requested).
Used only on prepared models.
PUMP: the LED is on when system circulation pump is active.
ALARM: the LED is on when the stove is in alarm state.

Meaning of the state signals is found top-right of display (2nd LED SERIES).
1–the LED is on when the chrono-thermostat's daily program is active.
2–the LED is on when the chrono-thermostat's weekly program is active.
3–the LED is on when the chrono-thermostat's week-end program is active.
4–the LED is on (flashing) when the functioning parameters are being modified.
5–the LED is on when the summer function is active (currently unused).
6–the LED is on when the winter function is active.
7–the LED is not currently used.
Figure 5 shows the display during operative parameters setting or programming.

2. THE MENU
Access the Menu by pressing key 3 (Set).
This is divided into different entries and levels to access the board's programming and settings.
The technical programming access menu entries (parameters reserved to Technical Assistance Centre) are
protected by access key.

It allows globally enabling and disabling all chrono-thermostat functions.
Sub-menu 02 –02 –daily program
It allows enabling, disabling and setting the daily chrono-thermostat functions.
Two functioning bands can be set defined by times set according to the following table where OFF indicates
to the clock to ignore the control:

It allows enabling, disabling and setting the weekly chrono-thermostat functions.
The weekly programmer has 4 independent programs which final effect consists in the combination of the 4
individual programmings.
The weekly programmer can be activated or deactivated.
Also, the clock ignores the corresponding control by setting OFF in the time field.

Sub-menu 02 –04 –week-end program
It allows enabling, disabling and setting the week-end (Saturdays and Sundays) chrono-thermostat
functions.
2.3 Menu 03 –Choose language
It allows selecting the dialogue language from the available ones (Italian, English, French, German
and Spanish).
2.4 Menu 04 –Enable T.A. contact (only active if room probe enabled on remote
control)
Enables Room Thermostat contact functioning if room probe on external remote control is activated
(also see “Remote control”).
Functioning of Room Thermostat contact is always active if room probe on external remote control is
not enabled.
Example:
ADVICE: unless knowing exactly what to obtain, activate one program at a time to avoid confusion and
unwanted start and stop operations.
If wanting to use the weekly program, deactivate the daily one. if using the weekly program in programs 1, 2,3
and 4, keep the week-end program deactivated.
Only activate week-end programming after having deactivated the weekly one.

In this condition...
...if wanting to control stove with KLOVER remote control room temperature only, I must:
enable room probe on remote control (stove settings menu +> Enable room probe -> ON)
disable boiler thermostat contact on stove display (menu 4 enable contact -> OFF)
In this case, the stove firstly enters functioning economy and then automatically switches off when room
temperature (detected with KLOVER remote control) is satisfied.
...if wanting to control stove with KLOVER remote control room temperature and with boiler thermostat, I
must:
enable room probe on remote control (stove settings menu +> Enable room probe -> ON)
enable boiler thermostat contact on stove display (menu 4 enable contact -> ON)
In this case, the stove firstly enters functioning economy and then automatically switches off when both
temperatures are satisfied.
...if wanting to control stove with boiler temperature only, I must:
disable room probe on remote control (stove settings menu +> Enable room probe -> OFF). The room
probe is automatically disabled if external remote control is not connected.
enable or disable boiler thermostat contact on stove display (menu 4 enable contact -> ON/OFF)
In this case, the stove firstly enters functioning economy and then automatically switches off when boiler
temperature (detected with external thermostat immersed in boiler) is satisfied. This may be a good solution
to heat DHW during the summer period.
...if not wanting to control stove with external thermostats but with heating system water temperature only, I
must:
disable room probe on remote control (stove settings menu +> Enable room probe -> OFF). The room
probe is automatically disabled if external remote control is not connected.
enable or disable boiler thermostat contact on stove display (menu 4 enable contact -> ON/OFF). The
contact must be bridged (done in factory).
Only upon reaching of temperature set in “SET H2O” or “SET DHW” does the stove enter functioning
economy.

2.5 Menu 05 –3-Way Valve Threshold
Allows setting temperature threshold for switch-over of 3-Way motorised valve installed in DHW
system. Change-over happens after 30" from reaching set temperature and with hysteresis of 2°C.
Example:
3-Way Valve Threshold = 55°C
The valve opens after 30" from reaching 55°C.
Valve closes if 52°C is reached.
2.6 Menu 06 –Acoustic alarm
It allows enabling or disabling acoustic signal in case of alarm. Acoustic signal is only present on
stove board and not on external remote control.

2.7 Menu 07 –Initial load
It allows pre-loading pellet for 90” with stove off and cold. Start using key 1 and stop using key 4.
Useful if stove is ignited once the tank has been fully emptied or it is the first time it is filled.
2.8 Menu 08 –Stove state
It allows displaying the instantaneous stove's state showing the state of the many devices connected
to it. Different pages displayed in succession are available.

2.9 Menu 09 –Technical calibrations
N.B. The following description is reserved to the Authorised Technical Assistance Centre with specific
product competence. Haphazardly modifying parameters can seriously damage the equipment, persons
and the environment.
It allows to access all that reserved to Technical Assistance Centre. It is possible to display and
modify the functioning parameters, test functioning on the individual components and display the
number of ignitions, functioning hours and detected alarms memory counter.
Access this technical menu by entering access key “A9”.
Access the utility to calibrate the flue gas probe by entering access key “F9”.
Sub-menu 09 –01 –pellet type
The pellet load can be changed to the many work powers through this "Sub-menu", without directly
intervening on each individual parameter.
Select the pellet load change value using keys 1 and 2. Confirm with key 3.
For every changed unit (+1, +2, +3, … or -1, -2, -3, …) the change corresponds to the values in
figure 11. This change is only made in parameters (Pr06, Pr07, Pr08, Pr09, Pr10, Pr36).

Sub-menu 09 –02 –chimney type
The flue gas intake device speed (rev/min) can be changed to the many work powers through this
"Sub-menu", without directly intervening on each individual parameter. It is undoubtedly the most
used sub-menu by the Assistance Centres as it allows correctly adjusting combustion according to
the flue's draught and type of pellet used during Commissioning (test).
Select the flue gas intake device speed change value using keys 1 and 2. Confirm with key 3.
For every changed unit (+1, +2, +3, … or -1, -2, -3, …) the change corresponds to the values in
figure 12. This change is only made in parameters (Pr16, Pr17, Pr18, Pr19, Pr20, Pr21, Pr22, Pr29,
Pr37, Pr42).
Sub-menu 09 –03 –database
A range of default settings called DATABASES (recipes) can be found inside the device. These
settings with dependent number from the device version, are available but not modifiable. This to
allow adapting to different types of stoves without having to program one parameter at a time or in
relation to particular requirements.
Enter the correct key corresponding to the wanted database to load the recipes. For example, for the
PELLET BOILER 35 pellet boiler, the key corresponding to the database is o0.
Sub-menu 09 –04 –various calibrations
It allows setting a series of operative parameters (from Pr38 to Pr51). Refer to the table “Various
calibrations” to find the meaning of each individual parameter.
Sub-menu 09 –05 –outputs test
It allows igniting each individual component to check its correct functioning. Test can only be run with
stove off.

It allows setting a series of operative parameters (from Pr01 to Pr37). Refer to the table “Default
settings” to find the meaning of each individual parameter.
Sub-menu 09 –07 –reset partial hours
Resets the functioning partial hours.
Accessible only with access key “55”.
Sub-menu 09 –08 –reset alarms
Deletes last occurred alarms from memory.
Accessible only with access key “55”.

2.10 Flue gas probe calibration
Calibrate the flue gas probe once this is connected, by accessing menu 9 (Technical calibrations)
and entering access key “F9”.
The display value represents probe temperature reading. Use keys 1 and 2 (increase and decrease
temperature) to correspond this value to the temperature detected by the thermometer near the
probe.
Make reading correspond to room temperature detected by a thermostat of reference, if operation is
performed with stove off and cold.
Figure 13 shows the display during calibration.

3. OPERATIVE MODE
The stove's normal functioning principle with reference to the available functions for the user is
described below.
The display appears as in figure 14 before igniting the stove.

3.1 Stove ignition
Press key 4 for a few seconds to ignite the stove. Ignition is shown on display as in figure 15.

The stove sequentially runs the start-up phases as defined by the parameters managing levels and
timing (see “Parameters tables”), after stove ignition.
The method according to which the stove reaches work condition is shown in the following
prospectus, if alarm or anomaly conditions do not arise.
The various functioning conditions, which cleaning, economy modulation, etc. are also described.

3.2 No stove ignition
If the flue gas temperature has not reached Pr13 minimum value admitted after Pr01 time has
lapsed, the stove places itself in “NO IGNIT-“alarm state.
3.3 Stove working
The stove goes to work phase, representing the normal functioning mode, after positive ignition.
The system pump switches on if water in boiler temperature is higher than Pr33.
The stove's display appears as shown in figure 16 during normal work phase.

4. TEMPERATURE PROBES
The used temperature probes' features are given below.
4.1 Room/water temperature probe
The room/water probe used to measure water or room (in case of air stoves) temperature has the
following features:
IP67, NTC Thermoplastic probe: like NTC 10K ± 1% = 3435
Measuring field: -50/+120°C
Obtain a tester to check if probe is faulty, set it in ohm and measure the two probe pins (wire ends):
The probe measures about 10kohm at 25°C if it works correctly
If the probe is faulty: - resistance greater than 1Mohm (open)
- resistance to 0 ohm (in short)
The tester can also be used to check if the probe connection to the power board contacts are in
short; if 0 ohm resistance is measured by connecting the tester to the contacts, these are in short.
The display shows water (or room) temperature at 00°C if the room/water probe is not connected to
the power board. The display appears as in figure 20.

4.2 Pellet flue gas temperature probe
The flue gas probe used to measure the pellet's flue gas temperature has the following features:
Thermocouple probe: J type
Measuring field: 0/+350°C
Obtain a tester to check if probe is faulty, set it in ohm and measure the two probe pins (wire ends);
however, this only verifies if the probe is interrupted (no change compared to value shown on
unconnected tester).
The tester can also be used to check if the probe connection to the power board contacts are in
short; if 0 ohm resistance is measured by connecting the tester to the contacts, these are in short.
The display shows the pellet flue gas temperature (by keeping key 2 pressed) at 396°C if the pellet
flue gas probe is not connected to the power board. The display appears as in figure 21.

Pay attention to wires polarity when connecting the pellet flue gas probe to the power board.
A fixed temperature appears on display that does not change with the increase of flue gas
temperature if the wires' polarity is inverted.
