MAINTENANCE
If one of the tubes fails to come on, remove
the 2 starters shown in fig.1 on the rear of the
unit and swap them over. If the opposite tube
lights up, then you need to replace the starter.
If the same one fails to light up, then you may
need to replace the tube.
To replace the tube, firstly make sure the unit
is switched off and disconnected from the
power supply.
Remove the two screws at the top of the outer
grill on the rear of the unit as in fig.2 and
lower the grill as in fig.3.
Take hold of the tube and rotate 90°anti
clockwise as shown in fig.4, the tube can now
be removed vertically out of the locating slot
as shown in fig.5.
Replace with new tube, rotate tube 90°in a
clockwise direction to lock in place and
replace the grill.
If both tubes don’t come on, it is unlikely that
both have failed at the same time and you
need to check the fuse to see if it has blown
for some reason.
FUSE CHECKING & REPLACEMENT
To check the fuse, unscrew the fuse holder as
shown in fig.6 & 7, check the fuse and replace
if neccessary. If the fuse continues to blow,
something must be causing it and you need to
have the unit checked by a qualified electrician
or return it to your local KOBE distributor.
