Preface
Dear customer,
Please read this instruction manual carefully and study the appendix with the safety information and
warranty before using the bouncer. It is important that every person using this bouncer reads and
understands both documents. Demonstrate how the bouncer works, before lending it to anyone else. If
you do not follow the instructions, maintenance suggestions and warnings, you may be jeopardising your
child's safety. Keep both documents in a safe place for future reference. Safety instructions have the
symbol, tips the symbol.
The bouncer can be used for children aged 0 to approximately 9 months and has a load-bearing capacity
of 9 kg.
It is important to check the complete bouncer and all its components before use. If a part is missing or
damaged, please report this to your Koelstra point of sale within seven days of purchase.

This product has been manufactured in accordance with European standard EN 12790. This instruction manual
has been compiled with care and meets the requirements and regulations in accordance with the NEN 5509
standard.

claim on the warranty, you must be able to show the bouncer together with the serial number*, proof of
purchase and a fully completed warranty form. The sticker with the serial number can be found on the
bottom of the bouncer.

* Only so-called ‘hard goods’ have a serial number. ‘Soft goods’ do not have a serial number.

1 Unpacking and assembling the
product
1.1 Before first use
Danger, risk of death!
• Keep plastic packaging materials away from
children as they can present a choking hazard
for children.
• Beware of small parts. Your child may swallow
a small part and choke.
• Do not place any loose objects in the bouncer.
Warning!
• Beforeuse,checkyourproductforanydamage,
loose or missing parts, sharp edges and/or
protruding parts.
• Neverexceedthemaximumallowedweightin
the bouncer (see p. 13‘Technical specifications’.
Caution!
• To prevent damage, do not remove logos or
stickers. Some logos and stickers are required by
law.
Tip
• Forenvironmentalreasonswerecommendthat
you dispose of the packaging at your local civic
amenity site.
The bouncer is packed away
1. Take the bouncer out of the box.
2. Remove all packaging materials and discard
immediately.
3. Use the product description to check if the
bouncer is complete (see p. 7).
1.2 Assembling
Warning!
• Beware of any moving parts or hinges when
unfolding or folding the bouncer. Beware of
getting your fingers or hands, or your child's
fingers or hands trapped.
Caution!
• Toavoidthedangerofngersbecomingtrapped
and sudden unwanted adjustments, check that
the locking knob has been securely engaged
each time before use.
• Check that the Velcro and press-studs are
properly closed and/or attached.
The supporting frame has separated from the
bouncer.
1. Put the bouncer down with the seat flat on the
surface (see fig. 1).
2. Turn the two legs outward as far as they can go
(see fig. 2).
3. Connect the ends of the supporting frame to the
bouncer legs until you hear a click (see fig. 3).
Attention! Do not fit the supporting frame the
wrong way round. See fig. 8 for an illustration of
the right procedure.
4. Check that both locking detents are fully visible
(see fig. 4).
5. Place the bouncer upright.

2 Use
2.1 Positioning/moving the product
Danger, risk of death!
•Never place the bouncer near heaters, open
fire or other sources of heat as this could pose
a fire hazard.
•Never place the bouncer on a platform such as
a table or sofa.
•Keep the bouncer away from loose leads, wires
on account of the risks of falling objects,
strangulation or choking.
Warning!
• Nevercarrymorethanonechildinthebouncer,
the maximum load is 9 kg.
• Never leave your child in the bouncer
unsupervised.
• Neverplacethebounceronaslipperysurface,to
prevent the bouncer from sliding away.
• Placethebounceronalevel,stableandrough
surface.
• Neverliftormovethebouncerwithyourchild
sitting or lying in it.
• Removeallobjectsaroundthebouncerthatmay
be within your child's reach and that may cause
a dangerous situation (such as white spirit or
matches).
• Alwaysplacethebouncerintheshadeoutdoors.
Protect your child's sensitive skin from UV
radiation in the shade too. For example, you
could use sun tan lotion or protective clothing.
• Aluminium, metal and synthetic parts can
become very hot in the sun. Make sure your child
cannot burn itself on any hot parts.
Caution!
• Never apply force if you experience resistance
when using the bouncer.
• Neverplacethebouncerinthesunforprolonged
periods of time. The upholstery can discolour
and plastic parts can be damaged.
Koelstra upholstery is of the highest UV protection
category.
• Transportthebouncerwithcare.Theframeand
the upholstery can be damaged if you bump or
scrape it.
• Never expose the bouncer to extreme
temperatures.
2.2 Locking/unlocking the backrest
To lock the backrest:
1. Put the bouncer down in front of you, with the
seat facing you.
2. Turn the locking knob towards you (see fig. 5).
The backrest is now locked and cannot be adjusted.
To unlock the backrest:
1. Put the bouncer down in front of you, with the
seat facing you.
2. Turn the locking knob away from you (see fig. 6).
The backrest is now unlocked and can be adjusted
using the adjustment knob.
2.3 Adjusting the backrest (see fig. 7)
Attention!
• Never adjust the backrest when your child is
lying in the bouncer.
1. Put the bouncer down in front of you, with the
seat facing you.
2. Check that the locking knob is unlocked (towards
you).
3.Using your right-hand thumb, press down the
adjustment catch on the adjustment knob.
4.Using your right-hand index nger, pull the
adjustment knob towards you.
5. Push back the backrest.
6. Pull the backrest upwards and secure it into the
desired position.
The backrest has 3 positions, one for sitting, one for
relaxing and one for lying (see fig. 8).
2.4 Using the safety belt
Caution!
• Only use the safety belt supplied with the
bouncer.
• Alwaysstrapinyourchildwiththesafetybelt.

Attention!
• Always adjust the length of the safety belt
according to your child's size. Do this using the
sliding buckles on the safety belt.
• Make surethestrapsof the safetybeltarenot
twisted.
To lock the safety belt:
The buckle on the safety belt is unclasped.
1. Place your child in the bouncer.
2. Place one of your child's legs on each side of the
crotch strap.
3. Buckle the safety belt
(see fig. 9)
.
4. Check that the safety belt is secure by giving it a
gentle tug.
5. Tighten the safety belt using the sliding buckle
on the strap.
To unlock the safety belt:
• Useonehandtopressdownbothplasticclipsof
the safety belt to unbuckle it (see fig. 10).
2.5 Using the rocking mode
To place the bouncer in rocking mode:
• Turntherockingbrakeonitsaxisuntilthebrake
comes to rest on both brake lugs (see fig. 11).
The bouncer is now in rocking mode.
To place the bouncer in stable mode:
1. Turn the rocking brake on its axis until the brake
comes to rest on the floor.
2. Raise the bouncer slightly at the rear and turn the
rocking brake as far as it can go (see fig. 12).
3. Put the bouncer down again.
The bouncer is now in stable mode.
3 Disassembling and storing the
product
3.1 Disassembling and storing the product
Caution!
• Toavoidanydamage,donotplaceanyobjects
on or against the folded product.
Attention!
• Always store folded products away from
children.
The bouncer is assembled.
1. Put the bouncer down with the seat flat on the
surface (see fig. 3).
2. Using your thumbs, press down both locking
detents on the supporting frame (see fig. 13).
3. Pull the supporting frame away from the legs of
the bouncer.
4. Fold the legs inwards until they lie flat on the
bouncer (see fig. 1).
5. Store the supporting frame and the folded
bouncer together.
3.2 Removing the upholstery from the frame
A. To remove the safety belt:
1. Feed the strap at the rear of the bouncer through
the groove of the metal buckle as shown in
figure 14.
2. Pull the strap at the front of the bouncer through
the grooves in the seat.
3. Put the safety belt away.
B. To remove the upholstery from the frame:
1. Pull the press-studs from the plastic part of the
frame (see fig. 15).
2. Turn the bouncer upside down.
3. Put the bouncer down with the seat flat on the
surface (see fig. 3).
3. Disconnect the straps that surround the frame at
the bottom (see fig. 16).
4. Disconnect the Velcro tape on the bottom of the
upholstery.

5. Pull the upholstery on the bottom of the bouncer
away from the frame.
6. Put the bouncer upright.
7. Grab the upholstery at the top of the bouncer
and slide it off the frame, including the
reinforcement strap (see fig. 17).
C. To remove the reinforcement plates (only if you
are about to wash the upholstery):
1. Pull the reinforcement plate out of the bottom
part of the upholstery.
2. Pull the reinforcement plate out of the top part of
the upholstery.
D. To reinstall the upholstery and safety belt:
1. Repeat the steps under A and B in reverse order.
Attention: When re-installing the upholstery,
make sure that:
- The reinforcement strap falls around the frame.
- The metal buckle at the rear of the bouncer is
attached to the strap as shown in fig. 18.
4 Maintenance
4.1 General
Attention!
• Only use Teflon spray or silicon spray for
lubricating the moving parts. Never use oil,
grease or other lubricants as these attract dirt
and dust.
Tip
• Iftheproducthasbeeninvolvedinanaccident,
please pay a visit to your Koelstra dealer to have
it checked for any technical faults.
• Lubricate the moving parts regularly. This will
prolong the life of your bouncer.
• Regularlycheckthatallthepartsofyourbouncer
are functioning properly.
• The Koelstra upholstery is dirt and water-
resistant.
4.2 Cleaning the product
Caution!
• Cleanthebouncerimmediatelyafterithasbeen
used in a sandy and/or salty environment (for
example at the seaside). Sand can damage
moving parts and/or the locking devices. Salt will
cause metal parts to rust.
Tip
• Stainscanberemovedusingamilddetergentor
soap stick.
• Use a damp cloth to remove stains on the
upholstery.
• Drythebouncerwithasoftclothaftercleaning.

4.3 Washing in the washing machine
Caution!
• Donotbleachordrycleantheupholstery.
• Do not use a conditioner when washing the
upholstery.
• Washtheupholsterywithmatchingcolours.
• Donotirontheupholstery.
• Donotdrytheupholsteryinatumble-drieror
spin-drier.
Attention!
• Washingtheupholsterytoooftencanmakethe
colours fade.
1. Disassemble the safety belt following the steps
in chapter 3.2 ‘To remove the safety belt’.
2. Place the safety belt in a wash bag.
3. Remove the upholstery following the steps in
chapter 3.2 ‘To remove the upholstery’.
4. Wash the upholstery and the safety belt in the
washing machine with a programme for delicate
fabrics at 30 °C.
5. Dry the upholstery in a dark room to prevent
discolouring.
4.4 Faults
Warning!
• To avoid dangerous situations and further
damage, never use a faulty bouncer.
• Immediately replace faulty parts. Always have
this done by an authorized Koelstra dealer.
• Donotusethebounceriftheliningmaterialis
showing through the upholstery.
Attention!
• Donotmakeanymodicationstotheproduct
yourself. This is unsafe and invalidates your
warranty.
• ReportanyfaultstoyourKoelstradealer.
• Ifanypartsstarttoshowsignsofwearorbecome
faulty, always have them replaced by an
authorized Koelstra dealer.

7 Disposing of product and packaging
Koelstra BV develops its products in accordance
with the directives of the European packaging
agreement. For environmental reasons, we
recommend that you discard both the packaging
and the product (at the end of its product life) at
your local civic amenity site.
This instruction manual has been compiled with great care and
meets the requirements and regulations in accordance with the
