KEYBOARD & STAND

•Only use the included power supply adaptor. Discontinue use if the power supply
shows any signs of wear and tear.
•Do not attempt to modify or repair the unit. Contact Kogan.com if technical
servicing is required.
•Ensure the instrument is powered off when connecting to other amplifiers.
•Do not use the instrument at a high volume for an extended period.
•Keep the instrument away from heat sources, which may cause damage to the
components.
•Do not allow liquid or other particles to enter the instrument, as this may corrode
components or result in short circuiting.
•Unplug the instrument before cleaning it. Do not use wet hands to plug or unplug
it.
•Clean the instrument with a piece of dry and soft cloth; do not use alcohol or other
chemical solutions. Turn off and unplug the instrument after use or if unused for an
extended period.
•Avoid short-circuiting the supply terminals
•Retain the packaging where possible, as it contains important product information.
•To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose the product to rain or
moisture. The unit must not be exposed to dripping or splashing, and no objects
filled with liquids (such as vases) shall be placed on the apparatus.
•Maximum operating temperature: 40°C
•Do not install this equipment in a confined space such as a bookcase or similar
unit. The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings
with items such as newspaper, tablecloths, curtains etc.
SAFETY & WARNINGS
WARNING: Do not expose batteries to excessive heat such as direct
sunshine, fire, or the like. Danger of explosion if the battery is incorrectly
replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
WARNING: Excessive sound pressure can cause hearing loss. Keep the
external speaker at a distance from the ears and keep earphones and
headphones to a reasonable volume level.

Battery installation
•6x AA batteries can be used as the power supply for the keyboard. Open the cover
of the battery compartment on the underside of the keyboard, align the positive
and negative terminals of the battery to the relevant markings inside, insert the
batteries one by one and replace the battery compartment cover.
•Low voltage due to extended use will cause low volume or timbre distortion. If this
occurs, replace the batteries as soon as possible. If the keyboard will be unused for
an extended period, remove the batteries to protect the keyboard components.

INSTRUCTION

DC power adaptor
Connect the output end of the adaptor to the power port on the rear panel of the keyboard,
then connect the other end to the power socket.
Audio output/external headphone
•Audio output: power off the keyboard and any external audio devices, connect one
end of the audio cable to the PHONES/OUTPUT port on the rear panel of the
keyboard, then connect the other end to the audio input port of the audio device.
•Headphone connection: when connecting a headphone to the PHONES/OUTPUT
port on the rear panel of the keyboard, the loudspeaker will be disabled
automatically.
Mic input and audio input
•Mic input: connect a dynamic microphone to the MIC port to sing while playing the
keyboard.
•The keyboard is equipped with a stereo input function. Sound signals from a
mobile phone, MP3 player, computer and other audio devices can be input into the
keyboard for playback. Turn off the keyboard, connect one end of the audio cable
to the output port of an audio device and the other end to the AUDIO INPUT port
on the rear panel of the keyboard. Finally, power on the keyboard.
Note:
Ensure the input voltage to the adaptor is compatible with the power supply voltage.
CAUTION: When using headphones, maintain an appropriate volume
level to protect hearing.

When the power button is pressed, the LED screen will turn on and show the current tone,
tempo, and other status. The keyboard can then be operated as required.
Master volume adjustment
•Press [Master Vol +] or [Master Vol -] to turn the master volume up or down. Press
[Master Vol +] and [Master Vol -] simultaneously to reset to the default level of 10.
•Adjusting the master volume will also adjust the accompaniment volume.
Accompaniment (Accomp) volume adjustment
•Press [Accomp Vol +] or [Accomp Vol -] to turn the accompaniment volume up or
down. Press [Accomp Vol +] and [Accomp Vol -] simultaneously to reset to the
default level of 10.
Tone selection
•The keyboard features 255 selectable tones, from “000” to “254”. When the
keyboard is powered on, the Tone Selection function will be enabled
automatically, and “TONE” will appear on the screen. In the absence of this
display, press [Timbre] to enable the tone selection function. The tone defaults to
“000” and can be adjusted by pressing the corresponding number buttons or
pressing the “+” / “-” button.
Playing percussion
•The keyboard features 8 kinds of panel percussion. Press “Percussion” to play the
corresponding panels for each sound. Percussion instruments can be added to
enhance the atmosphere as required.
•The keyboard features 61 kinds of keyboard percussions. Press [Percussion] to turn
the keyboard into a percussion keyboard, and each key will correspond to one
percussion instrument. Press this button again to disable the keyboard percussion
function.
OPERATION

Playing demonstration songs
•The keyboard features 24 stored demo songs, which can be selected from “000” to
“023”. Press [Demo Song], “SONG” will show on the screen and the demonstration
songs will play in order. During playback, press [Demo Song] to play the next
demonstration song and press [Start/Stop] to stop playing.
•During the playing process, press the number buttons or the buttons to select
other demonstration songs, and the selected demonstration song will play
repeatedly.
Auto Rhythm
The keyboard includes 255 selectable rhythms, from “000” to “254”. Press [Rhythm]
and “RHYM” will show on the screen. Press the number buttons or the “+”/“-” buttons
to select other rhythms.
Rhythm control
1. Rhythm enabling
•Press [Start/Stop] to start the accompanying rhythm.
•When enabled, press [Sync] and “SYN" will show on the screen. Play any key
in the chord key zone (1st-19th key from left) and the accompanying rhythm
will be activated.
2. Interlude
•After the accompanying rhythm is activated, press [Fill-in] to have a
temporary rhythm play during the accompanying rhythm.
3. Stop rhythm
•During the accompanying rhythm, press [Start/Stop] the stop the
accompanying rhythm.
Tempo adjustment
•The default tempo is 120 beats/min; press [Tempo +] or [Tempo -] to increase or
decrease the tempo. Press both buttons simultaneously to reset to the default
value of 120 beats/min.

Auto Bass Chord
Single chord
•When an accompanying rhythm is active, press [Single Chord]; after the “SIN” is
showed on the screen, a single note played on the keys in the chord zone of the
keyboard will sound a full chord. Press [Single] again; “SIN” will disappear from the
screen and the single chord function will be disabled.

Fingered chord
•When an accompanying rhythm is active, press [Fingered]. After the “FIN” is
showed on the screen, figured chords can be played on the keys in the chord zone
of the keyboard.
•Press [Fingered Chord] again; “FIN” will disappear from the screen and the
fingered chord function will be disabled.

Effect Control
Sustain Function
•Press [Sustain]; “SUS” will show on the screen and the sustain effect will be
activated. Press this button again, “SUS” will disappear from the screen and the
sustain effect will be disabled.
Vibrato Function
•Press the [Vibrato] button, “VIB” will show on the screen and the vibrato effect will
be activated. Press this button again, “VIB" will disappear from the screen and the
vibrato effect will be disabled.
Recording and rhythm programming
Recording
Press [Record] to enable the recording function; “REC” will show on the screen. Under this
mode, all playing notes will be recorded. When the storage is full, “REC” will flash on the
screen and recording will stop automatically.
•Press [Play] to playback the recorded notes and “PLAY” will show on the screen.
On completion of playback, “REC” will show on the screen. A new rhythm can be
recorded, or press [Play] to playback the recorded rhythm.
•Press [Start/Stop] or press [Record] again to disable the recording function, and all
recorded notes will be removed.
Rhythm programming
Press [Program] to enable the rhythm programming function; “PRG” will show on the screen
and the keyboard percussion will be activated. Under this mode, custom rhythms can be
created by playing the corresponding percussion key.
•32 percussions can be recorded at maximum; after that, “PRG” will flash on the
screen and programming will stop automatically.
•Press [Play] to playback the programming rhythm.
•Press [Start/Stop] or press [Program] again to disable the programming function
and all recorded rhythm will be removed.

Three-step Intelligent Training
Training I: One key
•Press [One Key] to enable the single key training function. “LEARN”, “SONG” and
the song number will show on the screen. Press the “+”/“-” buttons to select the
song to be learned.
One key training aims at duration learning and there is no requirement on pitch or
creativeness. This mode allows for mistakes when playing the keys, but the
keyboard still plays correct notes and the screen will show the correct notes.
•After one song is finished, the current song to be learned will repeat.
•Press the [Start/Stop] or [Single Key] buttons to disable the training function.
Training II: Follow
•Press [Follow] to enable the follow function; “LEARN”, “SONG" and the song
number will show on the screen. Press the “+”/“-” buttons to select the song to be
learned.
•With [Follow] training, the song is learned by following the correct playing notes, or
by following the notes show on the screen. This mode will wait for the correct note
to be played before it moves to the next note.
Press [Start/Stop] or press [Follow] to disable the training function.
Training III: Ensemble
•Press [Ensemble] to enable the ensemble function. “LEARN”, “SONG” and the
song number will show on the screen. Press the “+”/“-” buttons to select the song
to be learned.
•The Ensemble training aims at the correct and comprehensive learning of the song
duration and notes. The key note will be shielded for the ensemble and the correct
note must be played according to the correct duration of the song. If the correct
note is not played within 3 seconds, the keyboard will automatically play the
correct note.
•After one song is finished, the current song to be learned will repeat.
•Press the [Start/Stop] button or press [Ensemble] to disable the training function.
Note:
In this training mode, the keyboard will sound only the correct notes and will give no
response to the wrong notes.
