Inner pot

Cooking rice:
1. Measure the desired amount of rice with the measuring cup (supplied).
1 cup of rice 0.18L in measuring cup 150g (approximately)
2. Rinse the rice several times until the water
in the bowl becomes relatively clear.
If the water is cloudy, it requires further
rinsing.
DO NOT rinse rice whilst in the inner pot. If
the pot is used for rinsing rice, the fluorine-
resin coating may be damaged or the
bottom may become deformed, which will
result in poor conduction while cooking.
3. Remove the inner pot from the cooker body
for this step.
Pour the rice into the inner pot, then pour
water up to the level which corresponds to
the measure of rice used.
The line markings in the pot are the water
lines. The right line corresponds to liters of
rice, the left line corresponds to cups of rice.
The water line on the cooking pot is
standard, it can be adjusted depending on
your taste.
NEVER add water higher than the maximum water line.
OPERATION
Note:
When cooking high quantities of South Asian rice (8-10 cups), we recommend pouring
one extra cup of water than the water mark to get the best performance.

4. If there is any water residue on the outside of
the inner pot, wipe the water from the pot
before placing the pot into the cooker body.
Gently rock the pot back and forth to level
out the rice.
5. Place the pot into the cooker. Once placed,
turn the pot slightly from left to right to
ensure that the pot is making sufficient
contact with the heating plate.
6. Ensure the rice cooker is plugged into a wall
outlet, and turned on at the wall. The
“Warm” light will be on.
7. Press down the Cooking Switch. The “Cook”
light will turn on, and the rice will begin to
cook. Leave the cooker, and do not stir the
rice while cooking is in progress.
8. When the rice cooker has finished actively
cooking, the Cooking switch will
automatically pop up and a click will be
heard. The “Cook” light will turn off, and the
“Warm” light will turn on.
9. Although the rice can be eaten at this stage,
you will get better results if you leave the rice
to sit on warm for a short while. We
recommend keeping the lid closed for about
5-10 minutes after cooking to ensure all
remaining liquid becomes steam, finishing
the cooking process. This ensures a fluffier
and tastier end result.
10. When the rice is completely cooked, open the lid and stir/fluff the rice with the
spoon. Cooked rice can be served immediately or be kept to warm automatically.
Note:
Maximum Keep Warm time is 30 minutes. Ideal time is 5-10 minutes, depending
on rice amount and water level. To avoid overcooking or burning during keep
warm time, ensure rice is actively monitored during this stage.

Steaming rice:
1. Pour the required amount of water into the inner
pot. The amount of water varies according to
the food and its quantity. DO NOT exceed the
height of the steam tray.
2. Place the steam tray into the inner pot and
position food on the tray.
3. If there is any water residue on the outside of
the inner pot, wipe the water from the pot
before placing the pot into the cooker body.
4. Place the pot with steaming tray into the
cooker. Once placed, turn the pot slightly from
left to right to ensure that the pot is making
sufficient contact with the heating plate.
5. Ensure the rice cooker is plugged into a
wall outlet, and turned on at the wall.
The “Warm” light will be on.
6. Press down the Cooking Switch. The
“Cook” light will turn on, and the water will
begin heating up to create steam.
7. When food steaming is finished, you must
turn off the cooking switch manually
(pushing up from Cook to Warm).
The cooker will automatically keep the
food warm until ready to serve.
Finishing up:
1. Turn off the rice cooker at the wall outlet,
and disconnect the power plug.
2. Only use the spoon supplied with this
cooker. Do not use a metal scoop, as this
may lead to scratching of the non-stick
inner pot coating.

•Wash the inner pot and steaming tray in warm and soapy water using a sponge or
wet cloth, and rinse with water properly, before wiping dry with dry cloth.
•To avoid damaging the non-stick coating, do not clean with abrasive brushes.
•Rice grains or other residues may stick on the heating plate. To ensure a proper
contact with the inner pot, rub the grains/residues away from the heating plate
with fine sandpaper (320 grit, very fine), then wipe it with cloth again.
