Do not point the lens directly at the sun or at a strong

Malfunction of internal parts may occur from concentrated

Caution
When taking a picture, wipe off the flash surface and
be careful not to cover the flash.
If the flash surface is dirty or you take a shot with the flash
covered, it is possible for the flash surface quality or color
to change,due to the high temperature of the flash.
Check that the polarity is correct when inserting
batteries.
The battery may heat, damage or leak if the polarity is not
correct, possibly causing skin burns and/or personal
injury as a result.
Do not use batteries which have become soiled with oil
or sweat.
If soiled, wipe the contacts with a dry cloth before use.
When cleaning or carrying out non-photographic
operations on the camera, disconnect the AC adapter
for safety.
Do not leave the camera in locations such as:
A location exposed to direct sunlight or inside a car,
etc. where the temperature may become extremely high.
Fire and/or damage to the unit may occur.
Within the reach of children.
The strap may wrap around the neck causing strangulation,
or accessories such as batteries, Memory Card, etc. May

About theLCD monitor
Due tothe characteristics of liquid crystals, thebrightness of
the LCDmonitor may appear uneven with changesin
temperature, etc.
The LCDmonitor has been developed using high-precision
engineering andis superior in sharpness and picturequality.
Due tothe nature of liquid crystals, however,there maybe
missing orconstantly lit pixels on the monitor.This isnot a
malfunction ofthe unit.
If theLCD monitor becomes damaged for somereason, take
care toprevent personal injury from broken glass,etc.
Furthermore, takecare that liquid crystals do nottouch the
skin orenter the eyes or mouth.

How toSwitch OnOr OffThe Camera
To switchon the camera, slide the PowerSwitch tothe side and
hold itfor 1 second.
To switchoff the camera, slidethe PowerSwitch tothe side and
hold itfor 1 second again.
Loading theBatteries
This camerais using 2 x AA batteries.
1. Makesure the camera is switched off.
2. Openthe Battery / Memory Card Cover.
3. Loadthe batteries into the battery chamberfollowing the
polarity indications.
4. Closethe Battery / Memory Card Cover.
Note
From the TFTLCD Monitor youcan see thebattery status shownbelow:
: Battery power full.
: Battery power half drained. Please prepare with new batteries.

Attaching TheWrist Strap
1. Switchoff the camera.
2. Makesure the AC adapter is 3.3V/2.0A.
3. Plugthe AC adapter into the DCIn Connector.
4. Switchon the camera.
Note
Only usethe AC adapter (sold seprately) specifiedfor your
camera asuse of any other device mayresult ina breakdown,
fire orelectrical shock.

Removing AnSD Card
1. Makesure the camera is switched off.

The TFTLCD Monitor is automaticallyturned onwhen the
camera isswitched on. With the LCD Button,you canturn on or
off theTFT LCD monitor.

flash. If the environment is too dark theflash will fireautomatically.
b. Autoflash with red-eye reduction : Thecamera will identify the
necessity of using the flashto reduce theoccurrence of red-eye

c. Nightscene : Theshutter speed will become slow in orderto
catch more light tomake good images inlow light circumstances.
Under this mode, itis suggested to use atripod to makesure the
camera is held still while taking the picture.
d. Fill-in-flash : Theflash will firein anylight circumstances.

Important
In the event of malfunction or damage, it is possible that
data maybe lost.Konica cannot acceptresponsibility in
any wayfor suchdata loss.
Always back-up important data.
When using SD Memory Cards ona PC,do not change the
attributes(read-only, etc.) of the files (imagedata) onthe card.
Doing so may prevent the camerafrom workingproperly when
deleting images, etc.
Do not change the file namesor thedirectory name of image
data saved on an SD MemoryCard usinga PC or save files other
than image data taken by thiscamera. Imagesthat have been
changed or added will not onlyplay backon the camera but may
cause the camera to malfunction aswell.
Always format SD Memory Cards usingthis camera.A card
formatted in a PC may notoperate properly.
The SD Memory Card includes awrite-protect switch.
Sliding this switch downward prevents datafrom beingwritten
to the card and images, etc.saved onthe card are protected.
Please note that pictures cannot betaken ordeleted when the
writeprotect switch is on.
When using a large-capacity card, cardcheck anddeletion may
take some time.

To activatethe self-timer or cancel the self-timer,press Up( )
Direction Button.Self-timer will be activated when theShutter
Button ispressed. This function can delay theshutter from
release for10 seconds. Self-timer is automatically canceled after
the shutteris released.
Setting UpDigital Zoom
This camerais equipped with 4X digital zoom(Continuously). To
activate digitalzoom please press RightDirection ( )Button. To
adjust thestatus of digital zoomplease useRight Direction( )
Button andLeft Direction ( )Button.To cancel digital zoom
function pleaseadjust it to 1.0X.
Note
It is normalthat the imagewith digital zoomis not assharp as
the image withoutdigital zoom.
Setting Up Image Size (Preset : 1600 x 1200)
Please set the Mode Dial at Shooting Mode and press Menu
Button to enter "Still Image" menu table. Use Up Direction Button
and Down Direction Button to move the color bar to
the feature you would like to set up. Press Right Direction Button
to enter the setting and select your preferred setting using
Up and Down Direction buttons. Press Right
Direction Button to confirm the new setting or press Menu
Button to cancel the setting. When the LCD Display is back to the
"Still Image" menu table, please check if the new setting is shown
on the right side of the LCD screen. If the new setting is not
shown please repeat the above procedure.
