INSTRUCTION MANUAL
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using KYOWA Bread Toaster, basic safety precautions should always
be followed.
Always operate your KYOWA Bread Toaster from a power source of the
same voltage and frequency rating as indicated on the rating label.
Do not place any part of this toaster in water or any other liquid.
Prior to first use, the toaster should be used for a few minutes without
bread in it. There will be some smoke at first; this is entirely normal.
Avoid touching hot surfaces of the toaster during use.
Use only pre-sliced bread.
Do not insert oversized foods, metal foil packages, or metal utensils into
the toaster. This may result in electric shock.
Do not use the toaster near curtains, upholstery or other decorative
fabrics and other combustible materials, as they can easily catch fire
and cause a safety hazard.
Do not remove food from the toaster while the plunger is down.
This KYOWA Bread Toaster is not intended to be operated by means of
an external timer or separate remote control system.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer,
its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid hazard.

HOW TO USE
Remove all packaging materials from your Kyowa Bread Toaster.
Wipe all parts with a soft dry cloth.
Place your toaster on a flat, dry, and stable surface.
For initial use, operate bread toaster without any bread on it for about
a minute.
Some parts of the bread toaster have been slightly greased and as a
result, the unit may slightly emit smoke when connected for the first
time –this however will cease after you have used the bread toaster for
some time.
Plug bread toaster into the power supply.
Rotate browning control knob –rotating knob to a higher number will
result to more brown toasted bread.
Put in bread into the bread slots. When toasting only a single slice of
bread, set time control knob to lower setting –toaster is designed to
heat the whole toasting chamber for 2 slices of bread and thus operates
at higher temperature level.
Press down start knob.
Breads shall automatically pop-up once the toasting time has elapsed;
you may press cancel button anytime if you wish to stop toasting
process before the set time –doing so will automatically eject the toast.
For frozen breads, press defrost button after you have set browning
level. Your Kyowa bread toaster will first defrost and then toast the
bread.
When reheating bread, put bread into bread slots, press start knob
downward, then press reheat button –no need to set browning level.
If you are going to toast bread sticks, unplug toaster, allow it to cool
and then remove the bread. Never use metal utensils to remove the
bread.
Always allow 1 minute cooling of the toaster time in-between toasting
cycles.
CLEAN AND CARE
Allow Bread Toaster to cool down completely before cleaning.
Remove Crumb Tray from the Bread Toaster.
Wipe off bread crumbs using a dry cloth.
Wipe external parts of the Bread Toaster using a soft and damp cloth.
Never use abrasive cleaning agents or any metallic and sharp objects
(e.g. scrubbing brush or knife) for cleaning.
Put back parts and accessories of the Bread Toaster to their proper
places before operating again.
After cleaning, store toaster in a cool, dry place.
SERVICE
Do not operate your KYOWA Bread Toaster if the unit malfunctions or
appears damaged in any manner. Bring the complete product to the
place of purchase or to any authorized KYOWA dealers for inspection,
repair or replacement.
Do not disassemble the Bread Toaster by yourself. No user serviceable
parts inside. Refer all service to an authorized KYOWA service facility
ONLY.
