Introduction.
This manual is designed to help you get the most out of your L2 audio GE215 professional graphic
equalizer. The GE215 is a 2 x 15 band 2/3 octave stereo graphic. Frequencies from as low as 25Hz
to a high of 16KHz can be cut or boosted. It is an extremely cost effective unit that will give you
extra control over your live sound mix.
1. Power. This is used to switch the unit on. Always turn the equalizer on before the power
amplifier and turn the equalizer off after the power amplifier.
2. Equalizer slider controls. These slider controls boost or cut the relevant frequencies.
3. Range selector. This allows the cut or boost of all frequencies to be changed from 6dB
range to 12dB range. The 6 dB option is indicated when the switch is in and is used for
more precise adjustments. The 12dB setting doubles the cut and boost available. This more
useful for live applications.
4. Bypass switch. By pressing this switch, the graphic processing will be by passed, enabling
the inputs to feed directly into the outputs.
5. Low cut filter. By pressing this switch, a low cut filter will be inserted into the input
circuitry. This will help eliminate any low or sub harmonic frequencies that can cause
feedback.
6. Level. This rotary knob adjusts the output level.
7. Output level. This 5 band LED meter indicates the output level. The left side LED is the
power on indicator.
8. Input & output connectors. Both inputs and outputs are on either balanced XLR or
unbalanced ¼” jack. Either or can be used, not both.

9. Lift/Gnd. This switch is used to lift the earth or ground from the unit chassis. This is useful
when speaker hum appears due to earth loops. In the GND position, the earth is attached
to the chassis.
10. Voltage selector. 220v or 110v can be chosen depending on the local mains supply. UK is
set at 220v.
11. Mains. This is to connect the unit to the mains supply via an IEC lead that is included in the
unit.
12. Fuse. This is the fuse holder. If replacing the fuse, be sure to replace with the same size
rated fuse.
13. Sub out. This provides a low frequency output.
14. X-over freq. This is to adjust the low (sub) frequency output. It is adjustable from 30Hz to
200Hz.
