Unpack carton and lay out all parts. Carton should contain the following items. Numbers in parenthesis refer to the
corresponding numbers on exploded view on page 14 of this manual.

GENERAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:
- Never perform any work on the sweeper when attached to tractor and engine is running.
- Keep hands, feet, hair, and loose clothing away from moving parts when sweeper is in operation.
- Clear area of large objects such as toys, tools, large rocks or tree branches.
- Do not use sweeper as a trailer to carry tools, children, boxes or other equipment.
- Do not operate sweeper too close to fences, trees, buildings, open fires, or other obstructions.
- Maintain a safe operating speed that will permit satisfactory sweeping action. Reduce speed on rough terrain,
hillsides, and near ditches. Be alert for holes or other hidden hazards.
- Do not allow children or inexperienced persons to operate the sweeper.
- Never operate the sweeper near people. Debris can be thrown long distances.

TUBING IDENTIFICATION: (NOT TO SCALE)
A. Hamper Back Tubes (44): Curved on both ends with the greater curve being the top.
B. Hamper Top Tubes (45): Shorter than Bottom Tube (43), flattened and rounded on one end.
C. Hamper Bottom Tube (43): Longer than Top Tube (45), channeled on one end.
D. Hamper Cross Tube (47): Smaller diameter than all other tubing, flattened and rounded on one end and concave on
the other end.
E. Hamper Front Tube (32): Shortest tube, flattened and rounded on each end.
F. HITCH TUBES (25).
G. DUMP HANDLE (31).

ASSEMBLY:
INSTALL HEIGHT ADJUST STRAP AND HAMPER SUPPORT STRAP
LOCATE THE FOLLOWING:
1 ............................................ Height Adjustment Strap (14)
1 ...............................................................Carriage Bolt (13)
1 .......................................................5/16-18 X 3/4 Bolt (30)
1 ..............................................................5/16 Pilot Nut (51)
1 ........................................................5/16 Flat Washer (21)
1.......................................................Adjustment Knob (16)
1.........................................................3/8 Flat Washer (15)
1..................................................... 5/16 Lock Washer (37)
1.............................................. Hamper Support Strap (46)
1) From inside of chassis (1) insert Bolt (30) through Hamper Support Strap (46) (in hole closest to small notch, with
notches pointing upward) then through hole “A” on chassis. Insert Lock Washer (37) over Bolt (30). Install hole on Height
Adjustment Strap (14) over Bolt (30). Install Pilot Nut (51) onto Bolt (30) with hex on the outside and secure loosely.
2) Line up slot on the Height Adjustment Strap (14) with square hole on Height Adjustment Lever Arm (12) and insert
Carriage Bolt (13) from the inside through Height Adjustment Lever Arm (12) and Height Adjustment Strap (14). Install
3/8 Flat Washer (15) over Carriage Bolt (13), and install Height Adjustment Knob (16).

INSTALL RIGHT HITCH TUBE
LOCATE THE FOLLOWING:

1 ................................................... 5/16-18 X 2-1/4 Bolt (29)
4 ........................................................5/16 Flat Washer (21)
1.............................................. Hamper Support Strap (46)
2......................................................5/16-18 X 3/4 Bolt (30)
3............................................................5/16 Lock Nut (19)
1) Put 5/16 Washer (21) on Bolt (30). Insert the crushed end of Hitch Tube (25) into the oval hole on the front of the
Chassis (1).
2) Insert Bolt (30) from the outside, through hole “B”, then through Hitch Tube (25). Then loosely secure with 5/16 Lock
Nut (19).
3) Put 5/16 Flat Washer (21) on Bolt (29). Insert Bolt (29) from the outside, through hole “C”, then through Hamper
Support Strap (46) and through Hitch Tube (25). Install 5/16 Flat Washer (21) then loosely secure with 5/16 Lock Nut
(19).
DO NOT TIGHTEN HARDWARE AT THIS TIME!

INSTALL LEFT HAMPER SUPPORT STRAP AND HITCH TUBE
LOCATE THE FOLLOWING:

1 ................................................... 5/16-18 X 2-1/4 Bolt (29)
4 ........................................................5/16 Flat Washer (21)
1.................................................................Hitch Tube (25)
2......................................................5/16-18 X 3/4 Bolt (30)
3............................................................5/16 Lock Nut (19)
1) Put 5/16 Flat Washer (21) on Bolts (29 & 30)(One Each). Insert Bolt (30), from outside, through Hole “A”, then
through Hamper Support Strap (46) and loosely secure with 5/16 Lock Nut (19).
2) Insert crushed end of the Hitch Tube (25) into the oval hole on the front of the Chassis (1). Insert Bolt (29), from the
outside through hole “B”, the Hamper Support Strap (46), then through Hitch Tube (25). Install 5/16 Flat Washer (21) and
loosely secure with Lock Nut (19).
3) Insert Bolt (30) through Hole “C” then through Hitch Tube (25) and loosely secure with 5/16 Lock Nut (19).
DO NOT TIGHTEN HARDWARE AT THIS TIME!

INSTALL HITCH BRACKETS
LOCATE THE FOLLOWING:
1 .................................................Formed Hitch Bracket (28)
2 ..................................................5/16-18 X 2-1/4 Bolts (29)
2 ........................................................5/16 Flat Washer (21)
2......................................................Flat Hitch Bracket (27)
1.................................................. 5/16-18 X 2-3/4 Bolt (26)
3............................................................5/16 Lock Nut (19)
1) Put 5/16 Flat Washer (21) on Bolt (26). Align holes in Hitch Tubes (25) and push Bolt (26) through from either side.
Install 5/16 Flat Washer (21) and loosely secure with 5/16 Lock Nut (19).
2) Place Formed Hitch Bracket (28) onto Flat Hitch Bracket (27), aligning small diameter holes. With Formed Hitch
Bracket (28) on top, insert Bolts (29), from the top, through both Hitch Brackets (27 & 28). Place assembly on top of
assembled Hitch Tubes and align the bolts with the indents in the tubes and push bolts through.
3) Place second Flat Hitch Bracket (27) on bottom of assembled Hitch Tubes and secure with 5/16 Lock Nut (19).
TIGHTEN ALL HARDWARE UP TO THIS POINT!

REFER TO DRAWING FOR CORRECT POSITION OF ALL PARTS
1. Insert front tie rod (38) with nuts, into formed section of hamper bottom tube (43). Formed section facing
in.
2. Place flat, formed end of dump handle (31) on L.H. end of tie rod.
3. Locate two small bent front hamper tubes (32). Place “short” end on tie rod and secure (not tight) with nuts
(19).
4. Insert hamper back tube (44) into bottom tubes (43). Place cross tube (47) on top, align holes and secure
with bolt (48) and nut (19), curved formed end pointing up.
5. Install hamper top tubes (45) over reduced ends of back tubes (44). Place cross tubes (47) on top and align
holes and secure with bolts (48) and nuts (19). Curved formed ends should point down.
6. Assemble center tie rod (35) as shown, longer threaded end to dump tube side. Rod goes through washer
(21), dumping tube (31), top tube (45) and corner tube (32) and fasten with nut (19).
7. Slide hamper latches (36) on tie rod as shown, hooks facing to the center. Install spacer (50), washer (21)
and place end through tubes (45) and (32), fasten with nut (19).
