washing machine and do not let them play with it.
Technical safety
•Please observe these instructions and the technical
specifications on (page 31).
•Before setting up the washing machine, check it for
any externally visible damage. Do not install or use a
damaged machine.
•Before connecting the washing machine, ensure
that the connection data on the data plate (fuse
rating, voltage and frequency) match the mains
electricity supply. If in any doubt, consult a qualified
electrician.
•Reliable and safe operation of this washing
machine can only be assured if it has been

be impaired at temperatures below freezing point.
•Before using the machine for the first time, check
that the transit bolts at the rear of the machine have
been removed (see “Installation Manual - Removing
the transit bolts”). During spinning, a transit bolt
which is still in place may result in damage to both
the machine and adjacent furniture or appliances.
•Turn off the stopcock if the machine is to be left for
any length of time (e.g. holiday), especially if there is
no floor drain (gully) in the immediate vicinity.
•Flooding danger.
If hooking the drain hose into a wash basin, check
that the water can drain off quickly enough to
prevent the sink from overflowing. Make sure the
drain hose is secure, so that the force of the water
flowing out of the hose does not dislodge it.
•Take care to ensure that foreign objects (e.g. nails,
pins, coins, paper clips) do not find their way into
the machine with the laundry. These may damage
components of the machine, it’s surroundings and
the laundry.
•Observe maximum load limits for laundry. See the
Programme chart for the maximum recommended
loads for individual programmes.
•Machine cleaning and descale treatments must
follow the manufacturer’s instructions. LAMONA

Washing environmentally and economically
Energy and water saving Choosing the correct function
(Prewash and Rapid Wash)
Detergent
•Water consumption and energy usage are
determined by the size of the load.
The most efficient use of the washing machine to
not exceed the maximum load for the programme
selected.
•When smaller amounts of laundry are washed, the
automatic load control will reduce the amount of
water and energy used.
•Use the Rapid 12’ programme for small, lightly soiled
loads.
•Modern detergents make it possible to wash at
lower temperatures (e.g. 20 °C). The Eco 40-60
programme is able to clean normally soiled cotton
laundry declared to be at 40 °C or 60 °C, together in
the same cycle.
•Always select the lowest appropriate temperature.
The most efficient programmes in terms of energy
consumption are generally those that perform at
lower temperatures and longer duration.
•To maintain the hygiene of the machine, carry out a
hot wash (above 60 °C) at least 1 x per month.
•Do not use ‘pre-wash’ for lightly soiled laundry. This
will help reduce electricity and `water used.
Select:
•Rapid Wash for a small load of very lightly soiled
items.
•The Prewash function for laundry with large
amounts of soiling (e.g. dust, sand).
•Do not exceed the amounts of detergent
recommended by the manufacturer on the
packaging.
•Adjust the dosage to the degree of soiling of the
laundry.
•Reduce the amount of detergent with smaller loads
(approx. ⁄ less than the amount recommended can
be used when washing a half load).
When drying with a tumble dryer
The noise and remaining moisture content are
influenced by the spinning speed in the spinning
phase, the higher the noise and the lower remaining
moisture content..
WARNING: Do not over fill the detergent drawer
with detergent as foaming and leakage will occur.
WARNING: Leaking from detergent drawer may
occur if too much detergent, or in wash treatment
additives are used with detergent. Please use as per
detergent manufacturer’s instructions and monitor
and adjust use accordingly.

1 - Prepare the laundry
Sort the laundry General tips
Pre-treating stains
•Sort the laundry by colour and by care label.
Most garments have a textile care label in the collar
or side seam.
Tip: Dark textiles often contain excess dye and should
be washed separately several times before being
included in a mixed load. Always wash whites and
coloureds separately.
Place very small items or delicate items inside a
dedicated wash bag or pillow case when washing.
•Curtains: Remove all fixing hooks first.
•Any loose wiring in bras, shirt collar stiffeners, etc.
should be removed or sewn in.
•Close any zips, attach velcro fasteners, fasten hooks
and eyes etc. before washing.
•Fasten duvet covers, pillow cases etc. to prevent
small items from being rolled up inside them.
Do not wash any items in this washing machine which
are specified by the manufacturer as not washable on
the care label ( symbol).
Do not wash footwear.
•Badly soiled areas and
stains should be pretreated
using a proprietary stain
treatment. Always follow the
manufacturer’s instructions.
•Empty all pockets, close zips and fasteners.
WARNING: Damage due to foreign objects.
Nails, coins, paper clips, and so on can cause
damage to garments and components in the
machine.
Check the laundry before washing and remove any
foreign objects.
WARNING: Damage due to solvent-based
cleaning agents.
Cleaning agents containing benzine, stain remover,
etc., can damage plastic parts.
When pre-treating textiles, make sure that any
plastic parts (e.g. buttons) do not come into contact
with cleaning agent.
WARNING: Risk of explosion due to solvent
based cleaning agents.
When using solvent-based cleaning agents, an
explosive mixture may develop.
Never use solvent-based cleaning agents in the
washing machine.

2 - Load the washing machine
Open the door
Open the door in case of power failure
Close the door
•Reach behind the door grip and pull the door open.
Check the drum for pets or foreign objects before
loading with laundry.
The most efficient use of energy and water is achieved
when a full load is washed. However, do not overload
as this can increase noise, affect wash performance
and shorten the machine’s service life.
•Unfold the laundry and load loosely into the drum.
Mixing both large and small items gives better wash
results and also helps distribute the load evenly during
spinning.
In case of a power failure, use the door emergency
tag to manually open the door.
•Make sure that no items are caught between the
door and the seal.
•Close the door (Do not slam closed).
Tip: Please note the maximum load for each wash
programme. WARNING: Before opening the door, make
sure that there is no water in the machine to avoid
flooding. Turn off and unplug the machine.

you have loaded into the machine, there might be
a difference of 1 to 1.5 hours between the duration
shown on the display and the actual duration of the
washing programme. The duration will be corrected
automatically after the start of the programme.

or 1x
4 - Add detergent
Detergent dispenser drawer Choosing the detergent type
Use detergents suitable for automatic washing
machines.
Observe manufacturer dosing instructions.
Detergent for the pre-wash
Liquid detergent for the main wash
Liquid fabric softener
– Depends on the
wash programme, fabric type and colour.
•Use different detergents for coloured and white
laundry.
•Wash very delicate fabrics with special detergents
(liquid detergent, wool shampoo, etc.) intended
solely for delicate fabrics and using suggested
programmes.
•When washing dark coloured fabrics and quilts it is
recommended to use liquid detergent.
•Modern liquids and detergent liquid tablets work
well for low temperature washes.
•Wash woollens using suggested programme with
special detergent for woollens.
•If odours begin to develop use a 60°C or 90°C wash
1 x per month.
Adding detergent
The amount of detergent you will need to add to
your machine will depend on the following:
•If your clothes are only slightly soiled, do not pre-
wash. Put a small amount of detergent as specified
by the manufacturer in two compartment II of the
detergent drawer.
•If your clothes are excessively soiled, select
a programme with pre-wash and put ¼ of the
detergent to be used into compartment I of the
detergent drawer.
WARNING: Using too much detergent, large
quantities of detergent or Liquitab detergents with
addition of` a Calgon© type treatment may possibly
result in leakage from the dispenser drawer area.
To avoid: Reduce detergent quantity, change
detergent type, run machine clean cycle periodically
or avoid the addition of an in-wash treatment.
This is not a fault with the machine.`

15

MAX
4 - Add detergent (continued)
•Add fabric conditioner (or liquid starch) to the
compartment.
Do not exceed the maximum level mark.
•Concentrated softener should be diluted, especially
if softener is present in drawer after wash cycle.
It will be automatically dispensed in the final rinse. At
the end of the programme a small amount of water
remains in the compartment.
If starching frequently, thoroughly clean the
dispenser compartment regularly.
Adding liquid fabric softener Tips on detergent usage
Adjust the detergent dosage to the level of soiling
of the laundry and the size of the load. Reduce the
amount of detergent with smaller loads (e.g. reduce
the amount of detergent by 1/3when washing a half
load).
Too little detergent
•Results in laundry not being cleaned properly and
may cause it to become grey and hard to the touch
over time.
•Can lead to a build-up of mould in the washing
machine.
•Results in grease not being completely removed
from the laundry.
•Can lead to limescale deposits on the heater
elements.
Too much detergent
•Causes poor wash, rinse and spin results.
•Causes higher water consumption as an extra rinse
cycle is automatically activated.
•Is a greater burden on the environment.
WARNING: Do not over fill the detergent drawer
with detergent as foaming and leakage will occur.
Using liquid detergent with a pre-wash
Liquid detergent cannot be used for the main wash if
the pre-wash has been selected.
Use powder detergent for the main wash.
Using tablets or liquid tabs
Always put a detergent tablet or liquid tab directly in
the drum with the laundry.
Follow manufacturer instructions - do not overdose.
Avoid using in wash treatments if machine foams
excessively and water leaks from dispenser area.
Using liquid bleach
Liquid bleach must be added manually either during
the pre-wash or during the first rinsing step of the
wash programme as the machine takes in water.

Programmes (continued)
Programme duration may change according to the amount of laundry, tap water ambient temperature
and selected additional functions.
(*) Washing water temperature of the programme is the factory default.
(**) If your machine has the rapid wash auxiliary function, you can enable the Rapid Wash option on the
display panel and load the machine with 2 kg or less laundry to wash it in 30 minutes.
(***)According to regulation 1015/2010 and 1061/2010, the programme 1 and the programme 2 are
respectively the ‘Standard 60°C cotton programme’ and the ‘Standard 40°C cotton programme’.
The Eco 40-60 programme is able to clean normally soiled cotton laundry declared to be washable
at 40°C or 60°C, together in the same cycle, and that this programme is used to assess the
compliance with the EU ecodesign legislation.
NOTE:
• If the programme does not start and displays E02 after approximately 10 minutes, check that the
water supply valve is open or the fill hose is not kinked / crushed.
• Turn to off position and then restart the programme.
Rapid 12’ Washing Temp °C Spin Speed

Duration

*30 - “--C” 600 2.0Kg 2 12+
In a short time of 12 minutes, you can wash lightly soiled, cotton, coloured and linen textiles.
Due to the short washing time of this programme, we recommend that less detergent is used. The
programme may last longer than 12 minutes if your machine detects an uneven load.
You can open the door of your machine 2 minutes after the completion of a washing operation. (The 2
minute period is not included in the programme duration).
Auxiliary functions
Select the desired auxiliary function before starting
the programme.
•If the auxiliary function cannot be selected or
cancelled the light of the relevant auxiliary function
will blink 5 times to warn the user.
•If auxiliary functions conflict, the function selected
first will be cancelled and the second auxiliary
function will remain active.
•An auxiliary function that is not compatible with the
programme cannot be selected.
