machine.

couplingalignment

as
possible
and

vibrates,
unevensupportofthebase

thecause.
Rectity

prying
up
acorneror
sideofthebase.
When
a
point
isfound
where
prying
up
reduces
vibration,insert
shimsunder
thebase
pad
atthat
point.
Repeat
procedure
ifnecessary
until
vibrationisreduced
tominimumlevel.
Vibrationin
beltdrivenunits
canbeconected
in
the
same
manner.

couplingalignment
after
piping
connections
have
been
made
andunit
runfor
oneto
two
hours.Theheat
ofoperationmay
cause
sufficientexpansionto
require
shimming
upthe
motor
tocompensate.

it
is
usually
advisabletosetthe
machine
about0.015"
lowinitially
to
compensate
for
this
expansion

proper
spacingofthe
bearing.
Whenmounting
bearing,stepB,block
couplingendofshaftto
protect
free
bearing
from
damage
by
axial
shaft
movementwhile
seating
thrust
bearing
firmly
againstshaftshoulder.
7. Tocompletely
dismantle
blower:
