10-18mm F4.5-5.6 C-Dreamer Ultra Wide
Zoom. Designed for Full-frame mirrorless
system, the lens covers angle of view of
between 130°and 102°. Ultra wide angle
makes it perfect for capturing expansive
scenes, which allows photographers to
imagine and explore further.
Prior to use, please read this instruction manual carefully to ensure
proper use. Keep the Instruction Manual in hand and refer to it whenever
needed. If you are still unable to solve the problem by reading the
manual, please contact our after-sales service for further technical
support.
Introduction

PERCAUTIONSFEATURES
Do not disassemble, modify the lens by yourself. Do not touch the
internal parts that become exposed as the result of external force.
Do not leave the lens where it will be exposed to high tempera-
tures, such as in direct sunlight or an enclosed vehicle. Excessive
heat may deform glass elements and other parts of the lens.
Whether the lens is attached to a camera, do not leave the lens
under sunlight without lens cap attached. This is to prevent the
lens from concentrating rays, which could cause a fire.
Do not place the sun in the center of the frame when shooting
with backlight. Sunlight focused on the camera when the sun is in
or close to the frame could cause a fire or damage to your eyes.
When shooting with the built-in camera flash, the lens itself may
block light which may cause vignetting. The use of an external
flash is recommended.
Angle of view will get narrower when mounted on an APS-C
sensor since it is a Full-frame lens.

Handling precautions
Rear filter(37mm) makes the lens convenient to shoot, reducing
the need for an extra square filter holder.
Compact body of 496g makes the 10-18mm ultra wide zoom
ideal for travel photography.
Adoption of 2 pieces of Aspherical glass and a piece of ED glass
contributes to chromatic aberration, distortion minimization and
corner sharpness improvement.
Featuring viewing angle of 130° to 102°, the lens provides you
with more space to use imagination and creativity.

Maintenance Precautions
PERCAUTIONS
Avoid touching the lens surface. Remove the dust on the lens surface
with a lens cloth or a blower. Keep the lens cap attached.
Using a circular motion with a lens tissue or cleaning cloth, gently
remove oil, fingerprints, and grime from the lens surface, working
from the center outward.
If the lens is taken from a cold environment into a warm one,
condensation may develop on the lens surface and internal parts. To
prevent condensation in this case, please take measures to protect
against moisture before moving the lens.

Mounting the Lens Attaching the filter
Remove the lens rear cap. Align the Lens mounting index(9) on the
lens with the one on the camera. Insert the lens into the camera and
turn clockwise until it clicks. Be gently to prevent damage to the lens
mount.
The lens accepts 37mm round rear filter. Limited to specific size and
thickness, please use the LAOWA 37mm Extra Slim Filter dedicated
for the 10-18mm zoom.
Gently rotate the lens to make sure that it is properly attached to the
camera.
Focusing
As it is a MF lens, please turn the Focus ring(2) slowly to get focus.
Be gently to prevent damage to the focusing mechanism.
Distance scale(3) and Depth-of-field scale are purely for instruction-
al purpose. Actual focus and DOF may slightly differ from the scale
indications.
To get precise focus, fix the camera position and then focus on the
subjects wide open. Get focus first and then set the desired aperture
by turning the aperture ring.
Using [Focus Peaking] makes it easier to get accurate focus. ( Note
that this function depends on camera models.)
Zoom
Focal lengths can be changed by turning the Zoom ring(4). It covers
the FF sensor from 10mm to 18mm, with 130°-102°diagonal
angle of view.
Detaching the Lens
Turn the camera off. Press the lens release button, turn the lens
anticlockwise and pull it out from the camera.
As a non-CPU lens, please set [Release shutter w/o lens] to [enable].

INSTRUCTIONS
Setting the Aperture
Turn the Aperture ring(7) on the lens to choose the corresponding
aperture according to shooing situation and desired depth-of-field.
Without CPU data, the lens cannot provide aperture value.
Aperture-priority is a better option than Shutter-priority for the lens
because of its manual aperture. ( Note that metering precision
depends on the camera models. )
Featuring variable aperture and no communication between the camera and lens,
the camera can not tell you the actual aperture. Increasing focal length
will reduce effective aperture, namely the lens going from 10mm f/4.5 to
18mm f/5.6. Adjust exposure compensation accordingly when using M mode.
