The HAL-36-25W-LED-JB-1227-M from Larson Electronics is a High Voltage Hazardous Location Magnetic Mount
Lighting Solution that is approved for Class I Division 2 environments and UL 1598 compliant for use in wet locations.
This powerful 35.88" long LED strip light produces 3,900 lumens, operates from 120 to 240V AC, and is suitable for a
variety of applications.
WIRING
These hazardous location LED lights are equipped with 5 feet of cord containing an explosion proof 5-15 plug rated at 15
amps. These lights operate from 120-240 volt AC current at 25 watts drawing 0.21 amps on 120 VAC and 0.11 amps on
240 VAC.
Standard pigtail(flying leads) wiring
We strongly encourage a licensed electrician install this product,in all locations especially in outdoor areas
where weatherproofing may be required. Universal voltage driver permits operation at 120V - 240V AC, 50 or 60Hz.

Warning: Check product label for correct input voltage!
Attach supply line wires to the appropriate light fixture wires as shown
in thediagram
Secure each pair of wires according to the diagram. Utilize a junction box or
similar device and take precautionary steps for weatherproofing all
connections if installed in a location where water may come in contact with the
unit. Ensure the unit is properly grounded and that wiring is done according to
all local and national electrical/building codes.
Exp Cord Cap
Position device near work area for operation. Run cable to nearby power
source. Insert and twist-lock explosion-proof plug into a compatible receptacle within
the hazardous environment. See plug operation below.
PLUG OPERATION
Electrical connection between plug and compatible receptacle is accomplished
after plug fully inserts into receptacle and rotated clockwise.
1. Lift receptacle door and locate polarization on mating plug pin and
receptacle face. Insert plug straight all the way into receptacle until it
cannot go further.
2. Rotate plug clockwise limit (37º), this closes internal contacts and
completes circuit. This also mechanically locks plug into receptacle so it
cannot be pulled out.
3. To remove plug, push plug inward and turn to counterclockwise, pull plug
straight out.
MOUNTING
The HAL-36-25W-LED-JB-1227-M is equipped with two 200 lb magnets spaced evenly along the length of the light. The
magnets allow for quick and secure mounting on flat, magnetic surfaces. The entire assembly weighs 2.5 lbs and measures
35.88 inches in length, and 2.68 inches wide and 1.69 inches deep, making it ideal for mounting in areas where space is
limited and a low profile fixture more readily installed.
VERSATILITY
The HAL-36-25W-LED-JB-1227-M is ETL approved for Class I Division 2 groups A, B, C and D locations. This unit carries
an IP54 water resistant rating ensuring protection against limited ingress from dusts, dirt, and basic protection against light
water spray landing directly on the fixture. This light is ideal for indoor or outdoor applications and industrial operations with
hazardous location classification where dusty or wet conditions are commonly encountered.
MAINTENANCE
Caution: To avoidpersonal injury, disconnect power to the light and allow the unit to cool downbeforeperforming
maintenance.
Warning:No user serviceable parts inside of fixture. Risk of electric shock. Removal of the lens will voidthe warranty.
1. Perform visual, mechanical and electrical inspections on a regular basis. We recommend routine checks to be
made on a yearly basis. Frequency of use and environment shoulddetermine this. It is recommendedto follow
an Electrical Preventive Maintenance Program as described in NFPA 70B: Recommendedpractice for
Electrical Equipment.
2. The lens should be cleaned periodically as neededto ensure continued photometric performance. Clean the
lens with a damp, non-abrasive,lint-free cloth. If not sufficient, use mild soapor a liquid cleaner.
3. Inspect the cooling fins on the luminaire to ensure that they are free of any obstructions or contamination (i.e.
excessivedust build-up). Clean with a non-abrasive clothif needed.
4. Do not operate if the lens is cracked or damaged. All fasteners shouldbe properly seated.
