2. UsetheconvenientCarryingHandlefoundonthe
bottomoftheWaterTanktobringittoa faucet.
Remove
the
TankCapbyturningitcounterclockwise.
Fill
the
Water
Tankwithcooltap
water.
Neverusehot
water.
ReplacetheTankCapbyturningclockwise,
untiltightened.Donotovertighten.(Figure 1)

CLEANING

CARE

Regularcleaningisnecessarytoensureproperand
efficient

orhowoftentheHumidifier isinoperation.In
eitherinstance,itis
recommended
that
the
Humidifier
be
cleaned
atleast
once
a week.
CAUTION:
To
prevent

Knob
toOFF
position
and
unplug
before
cleaning.

9.DiscolorationoftheEvaporativeRadisnormalafter
extendeduse.Thediscolorationiscausedbymineral
depositsinthewater,andthedegreeofdiscoloration
will
varydependingupontheamountofmineral
contentinthewater.WhentheFiltersurfaceareais
thoroughlydiscolored,oryounoticereducedwater
usage,itisa
good
indicatorthattheFilterRadsneed
tobereplaced.TheEvaporative
Pads
should
be
replacedatleast
once
everyseason.

andneverusean
abrasivecleaner.

TO
DISINFECT
TANK
AND
BASE:
FillTankwith1
teaspoonof
chlorine
bleachand
1
gallonof
water.
Place
TankbackonBaseandletstandfor2Qminutes.
CarefullyemptyBaseandTankafter20minutesand
rinse
well
with
water
until
bleach smellisgone.Donot
operateHumidifier whenthereisstillcleanerinthe
water.
12.Commercial"Descalers"and"Bacteriostats"are
availableatyourlocalhomeimprovementcenter.
