isobutane), naturalsgasthat,is veryenvironmentallyfriendlybutalsocombustible.
Whentransportingand installingthe unitcaremustbetakento ensure thatnoneof
therefrigerationcircuitcomponentsbecomedamaged.Intheeventofdamageavoid
nakedflamesorignitionsourcesand ventilatetheroomin whichthe unitisplaced
forafewminutes.
•Warning:Keepventilationopeningsinapplianceenclosureorinstructurefor building

Installationand Switching OnTheAppliance
•This applianceisconnectingto 220-240Vand50Hz.
•Youcanofferhelpfromtheservicetoinstall andswitchingon theappliance.
•Beforemakingtheconnectiontothepowersupply,ensurethatthe voltageonthe
nameplatecorrespondstothe voltageofelectricalsysteminyourhome.
•Inserttheplugintoasocket with anefficient groundconnection. Ifthesockethasno
ground contactorthe plug doesnotmatch,wesuggestyoutocallanauthorised
electricianforassistance.
•Theplugshouldbeaccessible after the applianceispositioned.
•Manufactureris not responsible for failureto completethe
ground connectionasdescribedinthisbooklet.
•Donotplacetheapplianceindirectsunlight.
•Donotuseinopenairandshall notbeexposedto therain.
•Placethe appliancefarfromheatsourcesandina well-ventilated
position.Thefreezershouldbeat least50cmfromradiators,
gasorcoal stovesand5cmfarfromelectricalstoves.
•Keep thetopfreefor at least15cm.
•Donotplaceheavyand lotsofthingsontheappliance.
•Iftheapplianceis installed nexttoanotherfreezer,observea
minimumdistanceof2cmtopreventcondensation.
•Fittheplasticwallspacerstothecondenseratthebackofthe
refrigeratorin ordertoprevent leaning tothe wall for good
performance.
•Theappliancemustbestandfirmlyandlevelonthe floorUse
the twofront levelling-feet to compensatefor anevenfloor.
•The outside of the applianceand theaccessoriesinsideshould
becleanedwithasolution ofwaterandliquidsoap;theinside
ofthe appliancewithsodiumbicarbonatedissolvedinlukewarm
water.Afterdryingreplacealltheaccessories.
BeforeSwitchingOn
•Wait3hoursbeforepluggingtheapplianceinto themainpower
toensureproperperformance.
•Therecan beanodourwhenyoufirstswitchon the appliance.
Itwilldisappearaftertheappliancestartstocool.

compartments. Byrotating theknob fromposition1to 3, coldertemperaturescanbe
obtained.“0”positionshowsthermostatisclosedand nocoolingwillbeavailable.
FreezerThermostatSetting;
0 :Theapplianceisclosed
1 :Forshort-termstorageoffoodinthefreezercompartment,youcansetthe knob
between minimumand mediumposition.
2 : Forlong-termstorage offoodinthe freezercompartment,youcan setknobto
mediumposition.
3 :Forfreezingthefreshfood.Theappliancewill worklonger. Soafteryouget the
coldconditionyoumustpositiontopreviousposition.
Notethat; theambient temperature, temperatureof thefreshlystoredfoodand howoften
thedooris opened,affectsthe temperaturein thefreezercompartment. Ifrequired,change
thetemperaturesetting.

PART- 3. ARRANGING FOODINTHE APPLIANCE
•Theuseoffreezeris,storingofdeep-frozenorfrozenfoodforlongperiodsof time
andmakingicecubes.
•Donotputfreshandwarmfoodwithfrozenfoodsidebysideasitcanthawthefrozen
food.
•Whilefreezing freshfood(i.e.meat,fishandmincemeat) dividethemin partsyou
willusein onetime.
•Forstoringthefrozenfood;theinstructionsshownonfrozenfoodpackagesshould
alwaysbefollowedcarefully andifnoinformationisprovidedfoodshouldnotbe
stored formorethan3monthsfromthepurchaseddate.
•Whenbuyingfrozenfoodensurethatthesehavebeenfrozenatsuitable temperatures
and thatthepackingisintact.
•Frozenfoodshouldbe transportedin appropriatecontainerstomaintainthequality
of the food andshouldbereturned tothefreezingsurfacesof theunitintheshortest
possibletime.
•Ifapackageoffrozenfoodshowsthesign ofhumidityandabnormal swellingitis
probablethatithasbeenpreviouslystoredat anunsuitabletemperatureand that
thecontentshavedeteriorated.
•Thestoragelifeof frozenfooddependson theroomtemperature,thermostat setting,
howoftenthedooris opened,thetypeof food andthelength oftimerequiredto
transport theproductfromthe shopto yourhome.Alwaysfollowthe instructions
printedonthepackageandneverexceedthe maximumstoragelifeindicated.
•Usethefastfreezing shelftofreezehomecooking(andthefoodwhich iswantedto
freeze)morequickly becauseofthefreezingroom’s greaterfreezingpower.Fast
freezingshelvesarethemiddle drawersofthefreezercompartment(seein page
10).

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Thefreezer compartmentshouldbecleanedperiodically
usingasolutionofbicarbonateofsodaandlukewarm
water
• Cleantheaccessoriesseparately withsoapandwater.
Donot cleantheminthewashingmachine.
• Donot useabrasive products, detergentsorsoaps.After
washing,rinsewithcleanwateranddrycarefully.When
thecleaningoperationshavebeen completed reconnect
the plug of theunitwithdryhands.
• Youshouldclean thecondenser(backof theappliance)
withbroomonceayearinordertoprovideenergy saving
andincreasetheproductivity.
THEPOWERSUPPLY MUSTBEDISCONNECTED.
• Whilefreezingfood; Maximumamountoffreshfood(inkg)that canbefrozenin24
hoursisindicatedontheappliancelabel.
•Foroptimumapplianceperformancetoreachmaximumfreezing capacity,turnthe
thermostatknob topositionmax24hoursbeforeplacingfreshfoodinthefreezer.
•Afterplacingfreshfoodinthe freezer,24hoursonmaxpositionis generally
sufficient,After24hours,donnotneedtosetthethermostatknobtoposition max.
Attention; Inorderto saveenergy,When freezingsmall amountsoffood,donnotneedto
setthethermostatknobtoposition max.

Defrosting theFreezercompartment
Freezerdefrostprocess
•Smallamountsoffrostwillaccumulateinsidethefreezerdependingupon thelength
oftimeduringwhichthedoorisleftopenortheamount ofmoistureintroduced.Itis
essentialtoensurethat nofrostoriceis allowedtoformatplaceswhereit willaffect
theclosefittingofthe doorseal.Thismightallowairto penetratethecabinet, thus
encouraging continuousrunning of thecompressor.Thinfrostformationis quite
softand canberemovedwith a brush orplasticscraper.Donotuse metalorsharp
scrapers,mechanicaldevicesorothermeansto acceleratethe defrostingprocess.
Removealldislodgedfrostfromthecabinetfloor.Fortheremoval ofthinfrostitis
notnecessarytoswitchoff theappliance.
•Fortheremovalofheavy icedepositsdisconnecttheappliancefromthemainssupply
andemptythecontentsintocardboardboxesand wrapinthickblanketsor layersof
papertokeepthemcold. Defrostingwillbemosteffectiveifcarriedoutwhenthe
freezerisnearlyempty,anditshouldbecarried outasquicklyaspossibletoprevent
undueincreaseintemperatureofthe contents.
•Donotusemetalorsharpscrapers,mechanical devicesorothermeanstoaccelerate
thedefrostingprocess. Anincreaseintemperatureoffrozenfoodpackagesduring
defrostingwillshorten thestoragelife.Providedthatthecontentsarewellwrapped
andplacedinacoolareatheyshouldkeepforseveralhours.
•Drytheinside of thecompartmentwithasponge oracleancloth.
•Toacceleratethedefrostingprocessplaceoneormorebasinsof warmwaterinthe
freezercompartment.
•Examinethecontentswhenreplacingtheminthefreezerandifsomeofthepackages
havethawed outitshouldbeeaten within24hoursorbecooked andre-frozen.
•Afterdefrostinghasfinishedcleantheinside with asolutionofwarmwaterwitha
little bicarbonateof soda andthendrythoroughly.Washallremovablepartsinthe
samewayandreassemble.Reconnectthe appliance tothemainssupplyandleave
for2to3hoursonsettingnumber5beforeintroducingthe food backintothefreezer.

Ifyourapplianceisnotworkingproperly,itmaybeaminorproblem,thereforecheckthe
following,beforecallinganelectriciantosavetimeandmoney.
Whattodoifyourappliancedoesnotoperate;
Check that;
•Thereisno power,
•Thegeneralswitchinyourhomeis disconnected,
•Thethermostatsettingison«0»position,
•Thesocketisnotsufficient. Tocheckthis,plug inanotherappliancethatyou know
whichisworking intothesamesocket.

INSTALLATIONPOSITION
Transportationand Changing ofInstallation Position
• Theoriginalpackagesandfoamedpolystyrene (PS) canbeconcealedifrequired.
•Intransportationthe applianceshouldbe tied with awidestripeorastrongrope.
Theruleswrittenonthecorrugatedboxmustbeappliedwhiletransporting.
•Beforetransportingorchanging oldinstallationposition,allthemoving objects
(ie,shelves,crisper…)should betaken outorfixedwithbandsin ordertopreventthe
shake.

The coolinggaswhichcirculatesinthecoolingcircuitmaymakeaslightnoise (bubbling
sound)even when thecompressorisnot running.Donotworrythis isquitenormal.If
thesesoundsaredifferentcheckthat;
•Theapplianceiswelllevelled
•Nothingistouching therear.
•Thestuffsontheappliancearevibrating.
Recommendations
•Iftheapplianceisnotusedforlongtime(forexampleduringthesummerholidays)
unplug andclean theapplianceand leavethe door open topreventthe formation of
mildewand smell.
•Tostoptheappliancecompletely,unplugfrommainsocket (forcleaningand when
thedoorsareleftopen)

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION (UK ONLY)
For your safety please read the following information
Warning: This appliance must be earthed.
This appliance operates from 220-240 volts and should be protected by a 13 amp fuse in
the plug.
The appliance is supplied with a standard 13 amp 3-pin mains plug tted with a 13-amp fuse.
Should the fuse require replacement, it must be replaced with a fuse rated at 13 amp and
approved to BS1362.
If the mains plug which is tted is unsuitable for the socket outlet in your home or is removed
for any other reason, please follow the instructions below on how to wire a 13 amp 3 pin
plug..
How to wire a 13 amp plug.
Important
The wires in the mains lead on this appliance are
coloured in accordance with the following code:
Green and Yellow - Earth
Blue – Neutral
Brown – Live
As the colours may not correspond with the markings identifying the terminals in your plug
proceed as follows.
The green and yellow wire must be connected to the terminal in the plug which is marked
with the letter E or with the earth symbol or coloured green and yellow.
The blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked N.
The brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked L.
You must make sure the lead is rmly secured under the cord clamp.
