Using The D.M.X. Interface with your Neutron Pro:
The D.M.X. Interface will allow D.M.X. 512 Protocol to activate the Haze
output of the Neutron Pro Haze machine.
With Main power disconnected:
1.) Insert a 3 pin XLR cable into Fog/Haze
Machine Signal Input (Pictured Right) of the
D.M.X. Interface. Insert opposite end of XLR
cable into 3 Pin Remote Input of Neutron Pro
(Pictured Left).
2.) Connect Main power, and turn on Mains
On Switch. The HAZE switch on the rear of
the Neutron must be in the off position.
3.) Check if the Power Indicator (Pictured
Below) of the D.M.X. Interface is illuminated,
indicating power is present to the unit.
Note: If the Power Indicator is not illumi-
nated, check that main power is present and
all cable connections are secure.
4.) Using the dipswitch, address the D.M.X. Interface using binary values (see
further in this publication) for the appropriate D.M.X. controller channel.
Connect D.M.X. Data input and output cables to D.M.X.
Interface.
5.) Check if the Data Present
Indicator (Pictured Right) of
the D.M.X. Interface is
illuminated, indicating Data
is present to the unit.
Note: The Data Present
Indicator will flash at 1
second intervals if no data
stream is detected.
6.) There is no haze issue from 0% - 55%. Haze issue
will start at 56% of D.M.X. signal .
The Neutron Pro has a constant output rate, and will not vary with D.M.X.
Signal. After shutting cue off, haze will continue to issue as the Neutron Fin-
ishes its self cleaning mode. Refer to Neutron Operators manual for more
details on the Cleaning Mode.
The D.M.X. Interface is a replacement module for the Standard G150 Remote
Control or the Standard H175 Remote Control, which will allow D.M.X. 512
Protocol to activate the Fog/ Haze output and Flow Rate.
With Main power disconnected:
1.) Move the Remote Mode Selector
slide switch to the D.M.X. Positon as
indicated on the rear label. (Pictured
Right)
2.) Remove Standard Remote control
from Remote Cradle (Picured Right)
and unplug 3 pin XLR input cable.
3.) Insert 3 pin XLR input cable into
Fog/Haze Machine Signal Input
(Pictured Below Right) of the D.M.X.
Interface and return it to Remote
Cradle.
4.)Connect Main power, and turn on
Mains On Switch (Pictured Right).
5.) Check if the Power Indicator
(Pictured Below Right) of
the D.M.X. Interface is
illuminated, indicating
power is present to the
unit.
Note: If the Power Indica-
tor is not illuminated check
that main power is present,
and the Remote Mode
Selector slide switch is in
the D.M.X. Positon.
6.) Using the dipswitch,
address the D.M.X. Inter-
face using binary values (see further in this
publication) for the appropriate D.M.X. controller channel, and connect
D.M.X. Data input and output cables to D.M.X. Interface.
7.) Note if the Data Present Indicator (Pictured Above) of the D.M.X. Inter-
face is illuminated, indicating Data is present to the unit.
Note: The Data Present Indicator will flash at 1 second intervals if no data
stream is detected.
8.) Fog/Haze issue will start at 26% of D.M.X. signal, 27% -100% of the
D.M.X. signal will vary the amount of fog/haze being issued.
