Thank you for choosing the Leupold®Golden Ring®binocular. We’re confident
that the engineering, design, materials, and workmanship applied to this
product will reward you with years of enjoyment and trouble-free use.
Using your Leupold Golden Ring binocular is very simple. However, you must
set them to match your eyesight before use. This is done by adjusting the
interpupillary distance and focusing the binoculars to your own visual acuity.
SETTING THE EYECUPS FOR PROPER EYE RELIEF
All Leupold Golden Ring binoculars feature eyecups you can twist, or push up
and down to provide proper eye relief for their use with or without eyeglasses.
If you do not wear eyeglasses, twist or pull the eyecups up so that they extend
away from the ocular lenses of the binocular.
If you wear eyeglasses, twist or pull the eyecups down so that they sit flush
with the ocular lenses of the binocular.

ADJUSTING INTERPUPILLARY DISTANCE
The interpupillary distance is the distance between the pupils of your eyes.
To ensure a clear, single image, the binocular must be set so that the centers
of the ocular lenses are the same distance apart as your pupils.
TO SET THE INTERPUPILLARY DISTANCE
1. Check that the interpupillary distance lock (located on the bridge of the
binoculars between the two objective lenses, not available on models with
Switch/Power™Technology) is set to “unlocked” by turning it to the
appropriate indicator on the dial.
2. Hold the binocular up to your eyes in the normal manner.
3. Look through the binocular with both eyes open.
4. Move the two barrels (halves) closer to or farther away from each other
until you see a single, circular image.
5. Set the interpupillary distance lock to “locked” by turning it to the
appropriate indicator on the dial.

FOCUSING TO YOUR OWN VISUAL ACUITY
Focusing your binocular to your own visual acuity, also known as “setting
the diopter adjustment,” is very important as this will prevent eye strain and
provide you with a crisp, sharp image.
TO SET THE BINOCULARS FOR YOUR VISION
1. View an object about 50 to 100 yards in the distance. If using a binocular
with Switch/Power Technology, select the high magnification setting by
positioning the switch in front of the center focus dial to the appropriate
position. The switch must be positioned to one side or the other; do not
leave it in the middle.
2. Cover the right objective lens with your hand or with the objective cover.
3. Adjust the center focus dial (located on the bridge between the ocular
lenses) until the image presented to your left eye is clear and sharp.
4. Cover the left objective lens with your hand or with the objective cover.
5. Adjust the diopter adjustment dial (located on the right side between the
binocular body and the right eyecup) until the image presented to your
right eye is clear and sharp.
Your binoculars are now focused for your eyesight.

FOCUSING IN THE FIELD
To make any adjustments in the field, simply turn the center focus dial while
viewing through both barrels.
CLEANING
Clean the fully armored body by simply wiping off any accumulated dirt or dust
with a damp cloth, mild detergent, or disposable wipes.
Clean the lenses as you would a camera lens. For optimal cleaning, use the
Leupold Lens Cleaning System. Begin by using the brush to whisk away dust.
Then use the microfiber cleaning tip, which is impregnated with a special
non-liquid cleaning compound, to clean the glass. If you don’t have a Leupold
Lens Cleaning System, use a standard lens brush to remove dust and then pure
alcohol, high-grade glass cleaner, or distilled water on a cotton swab. Please
start in the center of the lens, apply minimal pressure to cleaning aid and use
a circular motion, gently cleaning toward the outer edge of the lens.

Should service ever become necessary, all these Leupold Golden Ring products
are backed by the Leupold Full Lifetime Guarantee.
If your Leupold Golden Ring binocular fails to perform in any way, you may
return it directly to the Leupold factory for service. It is not necessary
for your dealer to ship the binocular to Leupold; however, they can be very
helpful in determining if factory service is necessary.
PLEASE FOLLOW THESE SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Include a note with your name, address, telephone number, e-mail, and a
description of the problem.
2. Pack the binocular in its original box (if you have it) or another suitably
strong shipping box.
3. Wrap the package securely using filament strapping tape on the outside.
4. Ship the binocular by parcel or mail service (insured, if possible) to one of

Ring de Leupold est très simple. Par contre, vous devez les ajuster à votre vue avant de les utiliser. Pour ce faire, vous ajustez l’écart interpu-
pillaire et la mise au point selon votre propre acuité visuelle.
PLACER LES OEILLETONS POUR ÉTABLIR LA BONNE POSITION DE L’OEIL
Toutes les jumelles Golden Ring de Leupold comprennent des œilletons que vous pouvez tourner ou pousser vers le haut et le bas pour une
bonne position de l’œil pour une utilisation avec ou sans lunettes. Si vous ne portez pas de lunettes, tournez ou tirez les œilletons vers le
haut pour qu’ils sortent en s’éloignant des oculaires des jumelles. Si vous portez des lunettes, tournez ou tirez les œilletons vers le bas pour
qu’ils affleurent avec les oculaires des jumelles.
AJUSTER L’ÉCART INTERPUPILLAIRE
L’écart interpupillaire est la distance entre les pupilles des yeux. Pour assurer une image claire et simple, les jumelles doivent être réglées
pour que le centre de chaque oculaire ait le même écart que vos propres pupilles.
POUR RÉGLER L’ÉCART INTERPUPILLAIRE
1. Vérifiez que le verrou de distance interpupillaire (sous le pont des jumelles entre les deux lentilles de l’objectif, non disponible
pour les modèles avec la technologie Switch/Power™) soit placé à la position « déverrouillé » en le tournant vers l’indicateur
approprié du cadran.
2. Mettez les jumelles devant vos yeux d’une manière normale.
3. Regardez dans les jumelles, les deux yeux ouverts.
4. Déplacez les deux barillets (moitiés) pour les rapprocher ou les éloigner l’un de l’autre jusqu’à ce que vous voyiez une
seule image circulaire.
5. Placez le verrou de l’écart interpupillaire à la position « verrouillé » en le tournant vers l’indicateur approprié sur le cadran.

MISE AU POINT SELON VOTRE PROPRE ACUITÉ VISUELLE
Il est très important de mettre au point vos jumelles selon votre propre acuité visuelle, ce que l’on appelle aussi « l’ajustement dioptrique »,
car cela prévient la fatigue de l’œil et présente une image précise et claire.
POUR AJUSTER LES JUMELLES À VOTRE VISION
1. Regardez un objet à environ 46 à 91 mètres (50 à 100 verges) de distance. Si vous utilisez des jumelles à technologie Switch/Power,
choisissez le réglage de grossissement le plus élevé en plaçant l’interrupteur devant le cadran de mise au point centrale à la position
appropriée. L’interrupteur doit être placé d’un côté ou de l’autre. Ne le laissez pas au milieu.
2. Couvrez la lentille de l’objectif droit de la main ou avec le couvercle de l’objectif.
3. Ajustez le cadran de mise au point centrale (sur le pont entre les oculaires) jusqu’à ce que l’image présentée à votre œil gauche soit
claire et précise.
4. Couvrez la lentille de l’objectif gauche de la main ou avec le couvercle de l’objectif.
5. Ajustez le cadran d’ajustement dioptrique (du côté droit entre le corps des jumelles et l’œilleton droit) jusqu’à ce que l’image
présentée à votre œil droit soit claire et précise. Vos jumelles sont maintenant mises au point pour votre vue.
MISE AU POINT SUR LE TERRAIN
Pour effectuer des ajustements sur le terrain, tournez tout simplement le cadre de mise au point central tout en regardant dans les deux barillets.
NETTOYAGE
Nettoyez le corps blindé en essuyant tout simplement la poussière ou la saleté accumulée avec un chiffon humide, un détergent doux ou des
lingettes jetables.
Nettoyez les lentilles comme vous le feriez pour celles d’un appareil photo. Pour un nettoyage optimal, utilisez le système de nettoyage de
lentilles Leupold. Commencez en utilisant le pinceau pour retirer la poussière. Utilisez ensuite l’embout de nettoyage en microfibres imprégné
d’un composé de nettoyage spécial, non liquide, pour nettoyer le verre. Si vous n’avez pas de système de nettoyage de lentilles Leupold,
utilisez un pinceau de lentille courant pour retirer la poussière, puis de l’alcool pur, un nettoyant de verre de très bonne qualité ou de l’eau
distillée sur un coton-tige. Commencez au centre de la lentille, appliquez une pression minimale sur l’accessoire de nettoyage et un mouve-
ment circulaire tout en nettoyant délicatement vers le bord extérieur de la lentille.
