Battery Instructions
ScrewthebottombaseoftheM503laserontotheground,atripod(included
in M50322 kit) or wall mounted then level the laser by rst turning the
levellingwheelforthe“X”whilelookingatthe“X”vialaboveit,oncethe
bubbleiscentralinthevialadjustthe“Y”axisinthesamemannerusingthe
“Y”viallevellingwheel,continueadjustingbothaxisuntilbothtopvialsshow
thebubbleexactlycentral(NOTE:themoreaccurateyouareatsettingthe
vialsthemoreaccuratethelevelwillbe).Oncelevel,powerupbyrotating
theblackpowerbuttonknob,theheadwillrotateandlaseremit.
The M503 operates on 4 x standard Alkaline “AA” batteries, rst remove
thebatterycompartmentcoverbyundoingtheblacklockingknob.Insert
batteriesintothebatterycompartmentasindicated,makesurethepolarities
arecorrectbeforereplacingthecover.

Setting Rotation Speed
TheM530hasvariablerotationspeeds,thespeedisadjustedbythepower
knob. The more the knob is rotated anti clock wise the faster the laser
head will rotate. A faster rotation is generally more suitable when using
theLR700receiver(includedintheM50322kit)andoftenaslowspeedis
goodwhenwantingtoseethelaservisiblyindoors.Noteasbatterypower
reducesrotationspeedmayslowdownandtherotatingheadmayrequire
tobemanuallyrotatedtostartpoweredrotation.Itisalsogoodpracticeto
turntheM503onandrotatetofullspeedthenreducedowntothespeed
youdesire.
TheM503canbeoperatedonitssidetoproduceaverticalrotatingbeam.
TousetheM530inverticalmodeplacelaseronitswall/tripodbracketwith
battery compartment facing down either on the ground or attached to a
tripod.Thebubblevialfacingupisthe“Z”axisvialandthelevellingwheel
nexttoitlevelsthisvial,whenthebubbleisexactlycentralinthisvialthen
theM503islevel.Therotatingbeamisdrawingaverticallineandtheplumb
dotbeamisnowalevelbeam.

TheLR700is an electronic laser receiver/detectorandcomeswith a staff
clampbracketwhichallowsyoutoattachthereceivertoastakeorstaff.

Powerupbypressingthepowerbutton,holdthereceiversothereception
window is facing the rotating laser (upright for horizontal and on its side
forverticalrotation).Whenthereceptionwindowislevelwiththerotating
beam the LED indication lights and Sound will alert you, When the laser
beamisabsolutelylevelwiththereceiverthecentralgreenLEDisilluminated
theredLED’saboveandbelowindicatewhenthelaserbeamisjustaboveor
belowthecentrallineonthereceiver.
TheBubblevialwillhelpyouholdthereceiverandstaffverticalwhentaking
readings.Thelineonthestaffclamplinesupwiththelevelmarkonthe
receiver.Notethatthereceiveronlyworksontherotatingbeamandnotthe
dot,andthathighspeedrotationtendstoworkbetterthanmediumorslow.

“WarrantyPeriod”ForLevel1LaserProductsis12 Months.Warrantyperiodisfromoriginalpurchase
date,noextensionismadeintheeventofwarrantyreplacementproductssuppliedortimespentbeing
repaired.
OurgoodscomewithguaranteesthatcannotbeexcludedundertheAustralianConsumerLaw.Youare
entitledtoareplacementorrefundforamajorfailureandforcompensationforanyotherreasonably
foreseeablelossordamage.Youarealsoentitledtohavethegoodsrepairedorreplacedifthegoods
failtobeofacceptablequalityandthefailuredoesnotamounttoamajorfailure.
CMIwarrantsthatourproductswillbefreefromdefectsinmaterialandworkmanshipforthewarranty
period.
CMIpromisestorepairorreplace,freeofcharge,theproductorpartofproductiffoundtobefaulty
duetodefectiveworkmanshipormaterialswithinthedurationofthewarrantyaslongasthefollowing
termsandconditionsaremet;
•Productmustnothavebeenmisusedorabused,mustnothaveincurredaccidentaldamageorhad
un-authorisedrepairortamperingthathascausedorcontributedtoitsfaultorfailure.
•YoumustcontactCMIbyphone,mailoremailimmediatelywhenafaultordefecthasbecome
apparentandwithinthewarrantyperiod.
•ProductmustbereturnedtostoreofpurchaseordirectlytoCMI,wewillcovercostofpostageonly
whensentbyourreplypaidAustraliaPostservice(AustralianMainlandandTasmaniaonly)detailswill
beprovideduponphone,postoremailcommunicationswithus.
•CMIwillcovercostoffreightbackofrepairedorreplacedproducttooriginalpurchasestoreoryou
directly(dependingonhowitwassentAustralianMainLandandTasmaniaonly).
•CMIwilldeterminewhethertorepairorreplacetheproductorpartofproductonacasebycase
basis.
•Furtherexclusionsinthiswarrantyincludedamageordefectcausedbyuseofnon-original
accessoriesorparts,damageintransportation,normalwearandtear,damagethroughmoisture,
damageduetoelectricsurge,failureduetoneglectordamagedcausedbyadjustmentsnotoutlinedin
CMI’sinstructions.
SubjecttotherequirementsofallapplicableAustralianActsorlegislationandtotheextentpermitted
bylaw,CMIacceptsnoliability(whetherexpressedorimplied)ofanynaturewhatsoeverforanyloss
ofearnings,hiringofreplacementequipment,Inaccurateworkcarriedoutbytheconsumeroragent,
damageorinjuryarisingasaresultofanyfaultintheproduct.Itistheconsumersresponsibilityto
maintaingoodworkingpracticesandregularlytesttheirtoolsforaccuracyandserviceability.
Calibrationoftheproductisnotcoveredbywarrantysubjecttotherequirementofallapplicable
AustralianActsorlegislationandtotheextentpermittedbylaw,
ACMIproductreturnedthatfailstofallwithinthetermsandconditionsofthiswarrantywillbequoted
forrepair.
