USB-0501 USB Hub and Fast Ethernet Combo Ada ter is com liant with
USB 2.0 S ecification and with the stylish a earance. It is the USB Hub
with Ethernet ort for you easily connecting u to 4 USB 2.0 devices or
LAN devices via RJ-45 ort. It is the erfect solution for USB ort
ex ansion to your com uter, such as a MP3 layer, digital camera, or
rinters.

2 Installation
Hardware Connection
General instructions for installing the USB 2.0 4 Port Hub with Ethernet Ada ter
are rovided below. Since the design of system may vary, refer to your system’s
reference manual for further information, if needed.

Driver Installation
On Windows XP/Vista/7
Caution: DO NOT connect the Ethernet ada ter to your com uter before
you install the rovided driver. You will be instructed to do so later.
For CD autorun, lease click Utility begins software installation
1. Insert the rovided CD into your disc drive. Then locate and
double-click the setup exe file under x:\Driver\Windows where x is
your disc drive letter.

2. When you see the screen below, lease click Next.
3. Please choose “I accept this EULA” and click “Next”.

4. Click Finish to com lete Ethernet Driver.
Notice for Vista Users: If the USB 2.0 4-Port Hub with Ethernet
Ada ter does not work after com leting driver installation, lease
restart you system.
5. Connect the Ethernet ada ter’s USB end to a free USB ort of your

com uter. Then a o -u message will a ear in the notification area
indicating the installation is com leted.
* Actual strings de end on your o eration system. These screen shots are from
Windows XP and Vista, it might vary slightly for each o eration system.
Now the installation is com leted. You can connect the ada ter to a
network device by an Ethernet cable:
1. Connect an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet ort on the ada ter.
2. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to your network hub,
switch or router.
The Link LED should light u green to indicate a ro er hysical
connection between the ada ter and the network. If the Link LED
doesn’t light u , lease verify the cable connections between all the
network devices.
