Make sure that all four feet are sta ble and resting on the fl oor.
Then check that the applianc e is perfectly level.
(Use a spirit leve l).
• Wooden fl oors are particularl y susceptible to vibration.
• To prevent vibration we recommend you place rubber cups unde r each foot,
at least 15mm thick under the washer, secured to at least 2 fl oor beams with screws.
• If possible install the washer in one of the c orners of the room, where the fl oor
is more stable.
Insert the rubber cup s to reduce vibration.
You can obtain the rubber cups ( p/no.4620ER4 002B) from the LG spares de pt.
Wooden floors (Suspended floors)
• The drain hose should not b e placed higher than 100 cm above the fl oor.
• Proper securing of the dr ain hose will protect the fl oor from damage due to any water leakage.
• If the drain hose is too lo ng do not force back into the washing machine. This will cause abnor mal

Safety instructions f or use
To minimize the risk of fire w ithin the inner bowl, the foll owing should be observed :
• Items th at have been spotted or soaked with vegetable o r cooking oil constitute a fi re hazard and should not be plac ed in a tumble dryer.
Oil-affected items can i gnite spontaneously, especially when exposed to heat s ources Such as in a tumble dryer. The items become warm,
causing an oxidation reaction in t he oil. Oxidation creates heat. If the heat cannot esc ape, the items can become hot enough to catch fi re.
Piling, stacking or storing oil- affected items can prevent heat from escaping an d so create a fi re hazard. If it is un avoidable that fabrics that
contain vegetable or co oking oil or have been contaminated by hair care product s be placed in a tumble dryer they should fi rst be washed in
hot water with extra deterg ent-this will reduce, but not eliminate, the hazard. The ‘cool down’ cycle of t umble dryers should be used to reduce
the temperature of the items. T hey should not be removed from the tumble dryer or piled or st acked while hot.
• Items th at have been previously cleaned in, washed in, soaked in or spot ted with petrol/gasoline, dr y-cleaning solvents or other fl ammable or
explosive substances sh ould not be placed in a tumble dryer. Highly fl ammable substances commonly use d in domestic environments include
acetone, denatured alcohol, pet rol/gasoline, kerosene, spot removers ( some brands), turpentine, wa xes and wax removers.
• Items c ontaining foam rubber (also known as latex fo am) or similarly testured rubber like materials sho uld not be dried in a tumble dryer on a
heat setting. Foam rub ber materials can, when heated, produce fi re by spontaneous co mbustion.
• Fabri c softeners or similar products should not be use d during a drying cycle, to eliminate the effects of st atic electricity
unless this practice is speci fi cally recommended by the ma nufacturer of the fabric softener or produc t.
• Under garments that contain metal reinforcement s should not be placed in a tumble dryer. Damage to the tumble dryer ca n result if metal
reinforcements come loos e during drying. When available a drying rack could b e used for such items.
• Plastic articles su ch as shower caps or babies waterproof napkin cove rs should not be placed in a tumble dryer.
• Rubber-backed a rticles, clothes fi tted with foam rubber pads, p illows, rubber boots and rubber-coated tennis shoes sho uld not be placed in
a tumble dryer.
