
InitialSetup Procedure
Foryour firstlighting, follow this Initial Setup Procedure.
1.
Open the main lid and remove the cookinggrate,drip pan and flame deflector.
Make sure all packing material has been removed.
2.
Open the pellet hopper lid found on the left side of your grill and check for any
foreign objects.
3.
Plugyour Lifesmart Pellet Grill into the nearest
110
VoltAC GFCI outlet.
(Note:
If
your home does not have a GFCI outlet, youshould have one installed by an
electrician.)
4.
Put no more than 1/2cup of pellets directly into the fire pot to provide fuel to
burn while
auger tube self-primes.
5.
Pour pellets into yourgrill'spellet hopper.
6.
Wash cooking grate with mild soap andwater.
7.
Reinstall theflamedeflector,drippan, cookinggrate,andcloselid.
Tip: If
youwant to lineyour drip pan with foil for easeof cleanup, werecommend
youdothis
beforeyourinitialburnin.When liningdrip pan, keep foilinsidedrip pan
edgesand donot
wraparoundasthiscanrestrictairflow.
8.
Turn on your Lifesmart Pellet Grill bypressingthepowerbutton atthe left
of the panel Settemperature to 400°Fby setting the digital control.
9.
Within a few minutes you will see smoke,and your grill will light.
10.
Once the temperature is at 400°F,allow it to run for 1hour,this will provide a final
cure and remove
any residue that may have accumulated during manufacturing
and shipping.
After thisinitialburn, your Lifesmart Chef Pellet Grill is ready forcooking.
Temperature Probe
Plug your temperature probesinto the grill'scontroller probe port
Feed probe through the probeportholeon theleft sideof grill cooking
chamber.
Insertprobesinto thickest portion of meat for most accurate
reading.

Reinstalling rubber protector over the connection port connection on controller after
each cook will prolong the life
and quality of your controller.
