Solaris – QUICK GUIDE – STAND SETUP
1. This is the sensor part of the stand, or the sensor Eyes.
a. The sensor eyes need to look at the door of the room you are
disinfecting.
b. The distance needs to be No closer than 1 foot from the door, and No
further away than three feet.
c. Too close or too far away can cause false motion errors and will require
you to start the cycle over again.
d. The recommended distance is 15-18 inches for all rooms.
e. Place sensor to watch for movement into the room. If any motion is
detected the cycle will immediately stop.
2. The sign needs to be visible for anyone who is passing by.
a. This is the remote part of the stand.
b. There are various lights and buttons used to operate the device.
3. The remote, controls the device from outside the room.
a. A solid green Status light indicates the cycle is ready to begin. (See
Green arrow).
b. Pressing the black button for 1 second starts the cycle. (See black
arrow)
c. Once the cycle starts the status button will go from a solid green light
to a flashing green light. The light will flash until the cycle is
complete.
d. There are four other LED status lights for different conditions. Low
battery, sensor or system issues, or a critical error.
e. The large silver button is the power switch for the remote/sensor
stand. (See silver arrow)
f. Once pressed the silver power switch is pressed it will light up green,
indicating it is on.
g. It will need to be manually shut off once disinfection is complete.
4. Once the cycle is completed, this is the completed cycle screen. It indicates
if there were any errors or interruptions.
a. Selecting run again allows another cleaning cycle or log out to exit
the program.
5. This is the screen you will see if motion is detected during a cycle by the
sensor.
a. It will instruct you to check the room and verify that there is nobody
is there.
b. Select the appropriate action using the red or green buttons on the
screen.
c. Red = No, do not continue the cycle.
d. Green = Yes, complete the cycle from where you left off. After
choosing yes, restart the device from outside the room, using the
remote start (Black button on the top of the stand)
Solaris – QUICK GUIDE – RESETTING THE FUSE
1. While facing the back of the device, the left round opening is the location of
the device fuse/breaker. It operates similar to any other breaker. If there is
a power surge or other electrical event beyond the normal capacity of the
device, the breaker or fuse will be tripped.
a. The device should always be making noise when it is plugged in.
The vacuum cleaner noise indicates the device is on. If you ever
walk into a room and the device is plugged in, but you do not hear
any noise, is an indication that the breaker/fuse has been tripped.
b. Resetting the fuse is done by inserting your finger into the left
opening and flipping the switch. If the fuse/breaker on the device
was tripped, the device would restart as soon as the switch is
flipped. Failure to start would indicate the need to reset the
facility Fuse/breaker.
c. Always inform nursing if there is a loss of power to any room, as
power loss may not be isolated to just that one room.
Solaris – QUICK GUIDE – SWITCH ORIENTATION
1. The fuse/breaker switch is oriented in a sideways position. The switch can
be flipped from right to left.
