General information
Before installing the Outdoor Security Light, please read all these instructions
carefully and save them for future reference. Basic safety precautions should
always be followed. PLEASE READ AND SAVE ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE
INSTALLING AND USING THE OUTDOOR SECURITY LIGHT.
NOTE: Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or a person
who is informed about the standards and technical requirements of the
appliance and its proper installation.
WARNING: Before commencing installation or maintenance, the electricity
supply MUST be turned off at the circuit breaker or fuse. DO NOT rely on wall
switch alone to turn off power.
1. Before assembling and attempting installation, make sure all parts are
available. Check the parts with the packaging contents.
2. Risk of fire. Do not aim the lamps at combustible surface within 3ft. Aim the
motion sensor away from heat producing sources to prevent false triggering.
Also, avoid windows, white walls and water within the detection zone.
3. Some codes require installation by a qualified electrician.
4. Be sure to connect ground lead. Supply leads must be at least 22AWG PVC
coated wire.
5. Must have mounting gasket for proper installation.
6. The wattage of the LED used must not exceed the specific ratings.
7. DO NOT look directly into the light when it is switched on.
8. These lamps can be used outdoors. The height from the ground can be from
minimum of 3 feet to maximum of 13 feet.
9. DO NOT use without a protective cover. If protective cover is broken, it must
be replaced with a new cover.
10. The security light is for wall mount only. To avoid water damage and electrical
shock, keep lamp holders 30° below horizontal and keep lamps at least 1”
from the sensor.
11. Only install one security light on one wall power socket.
12. Avoid pointing the sensor towards trees, street traffic and some regularly
moving objects. Do not allow the lamps to block the sensor.
13. To avoid the risk of electrical shock or serious personal injury, always operate
with dry hands.

14. The security light is intended for use with the enclosed gasket and with a
junction box marked for use in damp conditions.
15. The mounting bracket mounts to recessed or surface standard junction boxes.
Junction box must be at least 1-1/2 inches in depth for proper installation.
16. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse unit or wires in water or
any other liquid. This is an electrical appliance.
17. DO NOT use the security light for other than for its intended use.
18. Always aim the motion sensor toward the targeted detection zone.
19. Detection range is 180° with 50 feet horizontal.
20. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is being used by or near
children. This security light is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge.
21. DO NOT install or operate the security light with damaged wires or parts or if
the light malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner. If the
security light malfunctions, has broken parts, or any parts are missing, contact
customer service.
22. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the manufacturer
may result in fire, electrical shock, or risk of injury.
23. Avoid contact with moving parts.
24. If you want to use manual mode, the light must be wired through a switch.
25. Warning: After installation of the security light, no further rotation positioning
should be done.

Installation
Before installing the Outdoor Security Light, please read all these instructions
carefully and save them for future reference. Basic safety precautions should

INSTALLING AND USING THE OUTDOOR SECURITY LIGHT.
NOTE: Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician or a person who
is informed about the standards and technical requirements of the appliance
and its proper installation.
WARNING: Before commencing installation or maintenance, the electricity
supply MUST be turned off at the circuit breaker box or fuse. DO NOT rely on

Estimated installation time: 30 minutes
See diagram below to help with installation of the security light.
1. Tools required (not included); 1 Phillips head screwdriver and 1 flathead
screwdriver and silicone weather sealant.
2. Before assembling and attempting installation, make sure all parts are
available. Check the parts list with the packaging contents.
3. Locate the 2 cover mounting bracket screws (F) and insert the screws onto the
outside holes on the back of the mounting bracket. Tighten securely.

4. Install mounting bracket (A) onto junction box using the screws (C) or (D) (top
and bottom of mounting bracket) while making sure the green ground wire
“GND” screw (L) is facing you (this will be found on the mounting bracket,
bottom center). Pull wires from junction box through the central opening.
NOTE: a. If you are using a round junction box, use the short screw #10-24x5/8 (C)
and insert in the top and bottom opening
b. If you are using an octagonal junction box, use long the screw #8-32x25 (D)
and insert in the top and bottom holes
5. Loosen the green ground wire “GND” screw (L) on cover mounting bracket (A)
and wrap the ground wire (copper wire) from the house junction box around
screw and tighten.
NOTE: If house wiring does not include a ground wire, consult your local
electrical code for approved grounding methods.
6. Next, locate cover mounting bracket gasket (B). Remove paper backing and
adhere the gasket to the mounting bracket.
7. Use the wire nuts (E) to connect the black fixture wire to the black power
supply wire and the white fixture wire to the white neutral supply wire.
8. Install security light fixture over mounting bracket (A) and gasket (B) by lining
up holes and sliding openings on light fixture over the (2) M4X40 screws (F)
and screw on the decorative screw cap covers (G) to secure unit to the wall.
9. Apply silicone caulking (not included) around the perimeter of the back plate
for moisture seal.
10. Adjust the lamps and sensor into direction desired.
11. Turn on electricity at fuse and verify success of installation.

warnings, cautions, and instruction discussed in this instruction manual cannot
cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood
by the operator that common sense and caution are a factor which cannot be
built into this product, but must be supplied by the operator.
Although the Outdoor Security Light is easy to operate, for your safety, the
warnings below must be followed:
1. Do not place the security light near a heat source.
2. Risk of fire. Do not aim the lamps at a combustible surface within 3ft.
3. Do not rely on wall switch alone to turn off power. Turn off power at the
circuit breaker or fuse.
4. Some codes require installation by a qualified electrician.
5. This product is intended for use with the enclosed gasket and with a junction
box marked for use with wet locations.
6. To avoid water damage and electrical shock, keep lamp holders 30ﹾbelow
horizontal. Keep lamps at least 1 in. from the sensor. Do not allow the lamps
to block the sensor.
7. The security light must not be installed if:
A. There are missing parts.
B. If it appears to be faulty.
Electric power
If electric circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your Outdoor Security Light
may not operate properly. The Outdoor Security Light should be operated on a
separate electrical circuit from other operating appliances.

Before using the Outdoor Security Light, please read all these instructions

How to Use
Warning: After installation of the security light, no further rotation positioning
should be done. See diagram below to help with operation of the security light.
1. Setting the sensor for testing:
Using the “ON-TIME” switch, move to the “TEST” position. When in the
“TEST” position, the security light will operate during the day or night. The
lights will stay on for 5 seconds after all motion has stopped.
Turn the “RANGE” dial to the “MIN” position.
Aim the motion sensor in the general direction of the area to be covered.
NOTE: The motion sensor will need to be completely warmed up (about 30
seconds) before beginning the set-up process.

2. Adjusting the “RANGE” dial:
To increase the detection zone, turn the “RANGE” dial toward the “MAX”
position.
To decrease the detection zone, turn the “RANGE” dial toward the “MIN”
position.
3. Adjusting the “ON-TIME” switch:
The “ON-TIME” switch determines the amount of time the light will stay on after
all motion has stopped.
Set the “ON-TIME” switch to the 1, 5 or 20 minute position.
4. Using manual mode:
Manual mode overrides the motion sensor “ON-TIME” control so the light will
operate. This feature will only work at night time. The motion sensor will reset to
the sensing mode at sunrise. Manual mode can be turned on and off using a wall
switch.
To turn manual mode on, switch the light at the wall switch for 1 to 3
seconds and turn back on.
To turn manual mode off, switch the light at the wall switch for 1 to 3
seconds and turn back on.

SEGURIDAD PARA EXTERIORES.
NOTA: La instalación debe ser realizada por un electricista cualificado o por una
persona que esté informada sobre las normas y requisitos técnicos del aparato y
su correcta instalación.
ADVERTENCIA: Antes de comenzar la instalación o el mantenimiento, la

14. La luz de seguridad está diseñada para usarse con la junta suministrada y con
una caja de conexiones marcada para su uso en condiciones de húmedo.
15. El soporte de montaje se instala en cajas estándar de conexión de superficie o

4. Instale el soporte de montaje (A) en la caja de conexiones con los tornillos (C)

5. Afloje el tornillo de tierra verde "GND" (L) en el soporte de montaje de la
cubierta (A) y enrolle el cable de tierra (alambre de cobre) de la caja de
conexión de la casa alrededor del tornillo y apriételo.
NOTA: Si el cableado de la casa no incluye un cable a tierra, consulte el código
eléctrico local para averiguar los métodos de conexión a tierra aprobados.
6. A continuación, ubique la junta del soporte de montaje de la tapa (B). Retire el
soporte de papel y adhiera la junta al soporte de montaje.
7. Utilice las tuercas de cable (E) para conectar el cable negro de la lámpara al
cable de alimentación negro y el cable blanco de la lámpara al cable blanco
del neutro de la alimentación.
8. Instale la lámpara de seguridad sobre el soporte de montaje (A) y la junta (B)
alineando los orificios y las aberturas deslizantes de la lámpara sobre los (2)
tornillos M4X40 (F) y atornille las tapas decorativas de los tornillos (G) para

9. Aplique sellador de silicona (no incluido) alrededor del perímetro de la placa
posterior para sellar la humedad.
10. Ajuste las lámparas y el sensor en la dirección deseada.
11. Encienda la electricidad en el fusible y verifique el éxito de la instalación.

Si bien las luces de seguridad para exteriores son fáciles de utilizar, se deben
cumplir las siguientes advertencias por razones de seguridad:
1. No coloque las luces de seguridad para exteriores cerca de una fuente de
calor.
2. Riesgo de incendio. No apunte las lámparas a una superficie combustible a
una distancia menor de 3 pies.
3. NO confíe solo en el interruptor de pared para apagar la alimentación.
Desconecte la alimentación del interruptor automático o del fusible.
4. Algunos códigos requieren la instalación por un electricista calificado.

Alimentación eléctrica
Si el circuito eléctrico está sobrecargado con otros electrodomésticos, su luz de
seguridad para exteriores podría no funcionar correctamente. Las luces de
seguridad para exteriores deben conectarse en un circuito eléctrico diferente al
de otros aparatos en funcionamiento.

Modo de empleo
