About this guide
This guide is designed to introduce how to install SSD and start windows 10 from SSD.
For more information, please see the content below in this guide.
SSD installation instructions
Note: The LincPlus P2 must be shut down before installing the SSD
Compatible SSD: M.2 2280;B+M type;SATA interface(Doesn’t support NVMe or
PCIe)
Friendly Tips:You can find LincPlus’ SSD on Amazon.de and it can be delivered to UK and
France.We suggest you choose LincPlus’ SSD so that we can provide better technical
service and one year warranty service.
1. Find the SSD cover on the back of the laptop. Twist the SSD cover screw and remove
the cover.
2. Insert the SSD into the slot, and screw it to fix the SSD. (PS: You should twist the screw
on the left of the SSD, so that the SSD can be fixed well.)

3. After finishing assembly, turn on the laptop.
4. Find the Windows icon, (in the left bottom corner) right click it, and choose
“Disk Management” to manage the new disk. Please see the following picture:
5. And then you can see the following picture appear on the screen. Please click “OK”:

6. Right Click the New Disk(see the left picture), and choose “New Simple Volume...”:
7.Keep clicking “Next” until you see “Finish”.
8.Last you will see the SSD at “This PC”.
Last but not least:
We suggest you change the file saving path. It will help the laptop operate more
smoothly:
How to change the path of saving files
1. Click “ “and click “Setting”:

2. Click “System”:
3. Click “Storage” and click “Change where new content is saved”:
4. Choose “SSD” as the save path:

PS: After finishing installing SSD, if you still can’t find it in the laptop, there are 2
possible reasons:
① You bought a wrong SSD. Please check the type again.
② The compatibility of the SSD maybe not well suitable for LincPlus laptops. You can
choose another brand.

How to start Windows from SSD
1. First you should make sure that the SSD has been installed successfully.
2. You need to prepare a USB flash drive of 8G or more. (Because the size of the OS
files is more than 7GB)
PS: The SSD and the USB flash drive should be empty because when you fixing the
Windows into the SSD, the files in the laptop may lose.
Note: If you do not have such a USB flash drive, please refer to below link to move OS to
the SSD.

3. Then you should format the USB flash drive first. Insert your USB flash drive into a
laptop(Any laptop is OK), find your USB flash drive at “This PC”, and right click it, then
you can find “Format...” and click it:
4. Choose the “NTFS” and set the USB flash drive’s label as “WINPE” , then click
“Start” button. After formatting finished, click the “OK” button, and finally click the
“Close” button, then the USB flash drive is ready to use.
PS: You must follow this step strictly, or the SSD will not recognize the USB flash drive.
Don’t change the label “WINPE”.

Then extract the OS files into the root directory of USB flash drive, the ready state is as
below screenshot:

6. Insert the USB flash drive into the USB port of the laptop. Turn on the laptop and
press “F7” until boot option appears in the screen. (keep pressing “F7” )
7. Then you can see the picture appears in the screen. You should choose your USB
flash drive, and press “Enter”:

8. Now the OS is being installed on SSD automatically:
9. After the OS being installed, it will appear “Press any key to continue…”, please
press any key to reboot laptop:

10. At the beginning of the laptop booting, press “F7” until boot option appears on
the screen. Choose the new “Windows Boot Manager” of SSD to boot the laptop:
(My SSD is SanDisk, you may choose the SSD you bought)
11. It will takes about 10 minutes for the first booting to get ready. After that it will
come to OOBE (Out-of-Box Experience) wizard:
