ate power cord. Operation without protective grounding is not permitted and is
dangerous.
• Connect the device with a proper power socket and route the cable so that it can-
not be crushed or kinked. Make sure that the power cord remains undamaged
and constantly accessible.

es may compromise safety, regulatory compliance, and proper function of the
device. The warranty is voided in such cases.
• Do not expose the device or the IR remote control to extreme heat, including di-
rect sunlight and re. Allow waste heat generated during operation to dissipate
freely. Never operate the device in closed cabinets or near heat sources such as
radiators or stoves.
• Set up the device so that the back of the device with the power switch is always
accessible. Do not use this device unattended. If you will not be operating the
device for an extended period of time, turn it o using the power switch on the
back or unplug the power cord. If you notice smoke or a burning smell during
operation, discontinue using the device immediately by turning o or unplugging
the power cable from the power socket.
• To clean the device, unplug the power cord and clean the surface with a dry cloth
or with a little glass cleaner. Make sure that the device is completely dry before
you reconnect it with the power cord. Never use solvents (such as acetone or
lacquer thinner) to clean the device.

Standby LED
The amplier lights up constantly in yellow and pulsates in operation. A highly sensitive signal detector
switches the device on and o automatically. This avoids unnecessary energy consumption.

Connection:
The musicbook 50 is a fully balanced Class-D power amplier and should therefore
be used with balanced signal cables. They require cables with hollow saftety plugs
(4 mm) for connecting the loudspeakers. The musicbook 50 is an extremely audiophilic
amplier which shows its full sound potential with high-quality two-way loudspeakers
or small to medium-sized standing loudspeakers. Impedance values of the loudspeaker
of 6–8 ohms are ideal. The amplier monitors its input with a highly sensitive signal
detector and automatically switches on when music is played. Discover how uncompli-
cated perfect music playback can be!

Active input
The musicbook 50 automatically detects which input is in use. Always connect only one
of the two inputs (RCA or XLR) with a signal source. If both inputs are connected with
active signal sources, the amplier always connects the XLR input through. Note: If you
want to change the input during operation, you need to switch o the device using the
power switch on the back and then switch it on again after changing the cable. The time
between switching o and switching back on must be at least 10 sec.
Automatic signal detection
The musicbook 50 is equipped with intelligent consumption management. Immediately
after the amplier is switched on, it goes into idle mode (2.5 W consumption). When a
music signal is detected on the input, the amplier switches from idle mode to active
mode. If no music is played for 30 min., the amplier switches back to idle mode.
After an additional 30 min. without music (a total of 60 min.), the amplier switches
into standby mode (0.45 W consumption).
Circuitry principle
Fully balanced stereo power amplier in Class-D technology based on a circuit concept
protected by several patents, the UCD amplier. With all-discrete circuitry and careful
ne-tuning, the technology fullls its full sonic potential. Highly detailed and dynamic,
forceful and with the nest resolution of high tones. Extremely low power consumption
and low heat generation due to high eciency. The ideal amplier for easy
listening in normal residential spaces.

Protection circuits
• Direct current (DC) on the output: Power supply switches o.
• Excess temperature: Amplier mutes until the temperature drops by about 10°C.
• Output current limit: Amplier mutes for about 0.25 s.
Switching threshold 6 A peak. In case of persistent overload, the amplier
switches on and o several times in succession.
Automatic switching
