TTL Probe pod
LINEEYE option adapter
Model :
OP−5C
INSTRUCTION MANUAL
General Description
This adapter is a probe pod unit used to monitor and simulation communication line
in the TTL interface. The input level support serial communication voltage level
is used in power supply circuit of 3V or 5V for monitoring and TTL level output is
for simulation. Output High level can up to 5V by external pull‑up. It is best suited
to connect directly by test clip and evaluate the serial communication between LSI
on the printed circuit board.

Preparation
①Connect the probe unit to the probe pod main unit in such a manner that the
lead wire color indication corresponds to the color of each lead wire.
②Connect the connector(with plastic cover) of the probe cable to the 26‑pin
connector of the probe pod main unit with care taken to the direction of
insertion.
③Turn off the power source of the communications analyzer main unit. Connect
the connector(with metal cover) of probe cable to the optional port(TTL)
of the communications analyzer main unit with care taken to the direction of
insertion.
④Set the communications analyzer main unit to execute communication condition
setting and the following settings in accordance with adapting communications
protocols of the object being measured on the communications analyzer main
unit.

Note
:Option selection setup of table above is unnecessary when using this
adapter only as external signal input only as external signal input(EX.IN)
or external trigger Input/Output (TRG.IN,TRG.OUT)signals.
⑤Select the dip switch in accordance with polarity of signal or measurement
mode of the object being measured.

Connection
(*1):External trigger input/output(TRG.IN,TRG.OUT) is not changed over the
logic(polarity) of the signal. When changing over the logic of TRG.IN
signal, change the external trigger condition setting of analyzer.
(*2):Set to OFF among switch Nos.,2 to 4 when monitoring.
Connection to the object being measured
Hold the signal line leading to the measurement object with the test clip of the
probe unit.

Black GND Signal ground
White TRG.OUT Indicates that there is a low level signal of output (for approx.1
μS)when the trigger condition of analyzer main unit coincide.
(*1):It is in output terminal during simulation. Do not connect directly
with power source of the object being measured because of it will
become cause of failure.
(*2):Connect not needed when testing asynchronous(ASYNC).
(*3):Set the clock of communications analyzer main unit to ST2ofDTE
when Input/Output SD signal synchronizing with the signal inputted into
SD CLK. Set the clock of communications analyzer main unit toST1of
DTEwhen output SD CLK synchronized SD signal from this adapter.
