Triple Fountain
Installation Manual

When choosing your location select an
area that is large enough for the base and
possible water overspray.
Before you get started make sure you
have the following tools ready to make the
installation as easy as possible: Shovel,
level, box knife or scissors, and marker
paint (optional).
IMPORTANT: BEFORE EXCAVATION BE

UTILITY COMPANY TO ENSURE THERE
ARE NO UNDERGROUND UTILITIES
WHERE YOU PLAN TO DIG.

Step 1
Unpack Your Kit
Place kit near chosen installation location.
Cut the bands holding everything together.
Move the three stone columns to the side.
Leave the cardboard covering the Basin
in place to prevent dirt from falling into the
basin during installation.
Mark Excavation Site
Set the cardboard covered Basin in the
desired location and use spray paint to
outline the Basin so you know where to dig.
If you do not have paint, use your shovel to
mark the edges.
Excavation
Move the Fountain Basin to the side so
you can begin digging. Using a shovel, dig
straight down into the ground, slightly wider
and just as deep as the Basin making sure
to remove any sharp rocks or roots.

The Basin must set as at and level as
possible. If your soil is difcult to even out
simply dig an inch or two deeper and then ll
back in with sand, soil, or pea gravel to make a
nice level base.
Use a rake or tamp to atten the area so that
when you place the Fountain Basin it will be
level.
Install the Basin
Place the Fountain Basin into the excavated
hole.
The hoses are labeled Small, Medium, and
Large, which will match up to the stone
heights.
Orient the Fountain Basin keeping in mind
where the position of the Small, Medium and
Large fountain columns will be placed. Simply
rotate the basin 90 degrees until the three
rocks will be installed in the desired locations.
NOTE: The rocks cannot be moved from the
positions indicated on the Basin due to the
location of the Basin supports.

Level and Secure
Use the level again to ensure the Basin
remains level side to side.
Once the Fountain Basin is oriented
correctly and leveled, carefully back ll
using excavated soil and pack the dirt tightly
around the Basin to limit settling.
Remove Cardboard
Next, carefully remove the cardboard cover
making sure not to allow any soil to fall into
the Basin.
Remove the electrical cord from the Basin
and feed it through a hole in the pump
access corner of the grate.
Begin Filling with Water
You can add water to the basin at this time
to complete the stabilization of the Fountain
Basin.

Install Rocks
Carefully set the rst stone column on the
Basin and feed the marked hose into the
bottom of the corresponding rock (small to
small). Push the hose in until you get close
to the 90 degree elbow or before the hose
reaches the top of the rock. Slowly stand the
rock up, ensuring the hose aligns to the hold in
the Basin Grate. Repeat these same steps for
the remaining two rock columns. Be aware it
is normal for the grate to ex slightly under the
largest rock.
Testing and Adjustment
At this point make sure the Basin is completely
lled with water, then plug in the fountain pump
to test.
You can adjust the ow of water to each stone
individually by accessing the ball valves (red
handles) located under the pump access cover
in the corner of the basin. Adjust the valves
to the desired sound and aesthetic water
ow. Splash should be kept to a minimum to
avoid excessive relling. Expect a plume of
approximately 1-2” tall.
Your kit contains black shims to level each of
the stone columns if needed. It is best to use
the shims while the fountains are running to
control how you want the water to ow each
stone.
Landscape Finish
Avoid placing soil or bark on the grate because
it may fall through the screen into the Basin
and affect water ow. You can use river rock or
other decorative rock product to cover the top
of the Basin from view. This is not included in
the kit due to the variation of stone types used
throughout the US.

Can I put the pump on a timer?
While the pump is designed to operate 24/7, you may put the pump
on a timer so that it is only on during the times you are home to enjoy
the fountain.
How often will I need to ll the basin with water?
Normal evaporation is about 1-2” weekly, however, that is dependent
on your region. Many factors including humidity, rainfall, wind, and
splash will determine exactly how frequently you need to rell.
What do I do if I see algae?
We think a little algae only makes the fountains look better. However,
if you get excessive algae growth you can scrub the columns with a
brush to remove the algae and add a Fountain Cleaner to the water.
How do I winterize the fountain?
If you live in a climate that experiences prolonged freezing conditions,
we recommend removing the pump from the Basin. Access the pump
under the corner cover and disconnect the pump by unscrewing the
gray threaded attachments. The pump and valve assembly should be
able to be lifted out. Place the pump in a bucket of water and store it
in a place that will not freeze. This is all you need to do for winterizing.
DO NOT drain the Basin during the winter months. Allow the water to
freeze in the Basin so that the ground doesn’t cause the Basin to rise
or “pop up” from expansion of the freezing soil around it. The stone
columns themselves can be left outside during the winter months.
Do I do anything special to start the fountain in the spring?
Once everything has thawed, we recommend draining the water in
the Basin (shop vac works well) and replacing it with fresh, clean
water. Reconnect the pump assembly and plug it in.
