1. Neverplacefooddirectlyonthebottomofthebowl,asthebottomofthe
foodwillnotcookevenly.Alwaysusearackorpanwhencooking.Note:Most
panscanbeusedinthisovenaslongasitisabakingpanandfitscomfortably
insidethebowl.
2. Donottouchhotsurfaces.Thetemperatureoftheoutersurfacecangetvery
hotwhiletheapplianceisinoperation.Alwaysuseovengloveswhenhandling
hotmaterialsandallowmetalpartstocoolbeforecleaning.Allowthe
appliancetocoolthoroughlybeforeputtinginortakingoutparts.Alwaysuse
thehandleswhenmovingtheappliance.

NOTE:Aslightburningodourmaybeemittedduringthefirstfew
uses.Thisisnormalbecausetheapplianceisburningofftheexcess
lubricantsandwillnotcauseanyharmtoyou,yourfoodorthe
appliance.
NOTE:Thisovenfeaturesahandlewithamicroswitch.Forsafety
purpose,theappliancewillonlyworkwhenthehandleis
completelyfoldeddown(youwillhearit‘click’intoplace).

dishwashingliquid.Setthetemperatureto80°Candthetimeto10min
tostartthecleaningprocesstosoftenanystuckondeposits.Accessories
canbeleftinthebowlduringthisprocesstosoftenanydeposit.
STORAGE
Ensureallpartsarethoroughlycleanedanddriedbeforestorage.
Werecommendtoputtheappliancebackintheoriginalboxandstoreinadry
andcleanarea.

Method
Awell‐knowntraditionalcaketowhichI'veaddedgroundalmonds.Biteintoa
sliceandtastetheintensecitrusflavoursofthesweetglazewhichispouredover
thehotcake.Youwillneedagreasedandbase‐lined18cm/7inchdeepcaketin
(squareorround)whichfitsinyouroven.

1.RemovethelidfromtheHalogenOven,placethelowrackinsidetheovenand
replacethelid.Preheattheovento180°C.
2.Finelygratetherindfromhalftheorangeandhalfthelemon,cutbothinhalf
andsqueezethejuicefromthewholefruits(youwillneedabout6tbsp).Mixthe
juicestogetherinasmallbasin.
3.Sifttheflourandbakingpowderintoalargebowl.Breaktheeggsintotheflour
andaddthegroundalmonds,sugar,butter,orangeandlemonrindsand3tbsp
fruitjuice.
4.Withawoodenspoonormixer,lightlybeattheingredientstogetheruntil
thoroughlymixed,lightandfluffy.Spoonintothepreparedtinandlevelthe
surface.
5.Putintothehotovenandcookfor20‐25minutesuntilrisen,firmtothetouch
andcookedthrough.
6.Whilstthecakeiscooking,makethedrizzlemixture.Sievetheicingsugarintoa
bowl,pourintheremaining3tbspfruitjuicesandmixtoasmoothpaste.
7.Turnthecakeontoawirerackandwhilststillhotuseafineskewertomake
severalholesinthetopofthecake.Spoonthedrizzlemixtureoverthetopofthe
cakeandleavetocool.
