GETTING STARTED
1. Switch on the Backup battery
For security reasons the backup battery is switched OFF during transit in order to
completely cut off power to the device. Please note that this step is not necessary to run the
Fieldbook on battery power but it is necessary to support hot swapping the main battery.
a) Open the I/O compartment
cover on the left side of
the Fieldbook
b) Set the switch to the „ON“ position
c) Close the I/O compartment cover
2. Installing the Main Battery
WARNING: Only use the battery supplied with your Fieldbook or batteries suggested
by Logic Instrument. Using wrong batteries might harm the device or cause fire and
explosions.
a. Place the Fieldbook display side down on a plane and clean surface
If the battery locks are not completely set to the Fieldbook will not run on battery power.
3. Turn on the Fieldbook
a) Press and hold the power button until the power LED lights up.
b. Make sure that the
locking switch (upper
lock) is unlocked
c. Align the battery
tabs with the slots on
the chassis
d. Press down the
battery until the
release switch clicks
into place
e. Slide the locking
switch to the right
(LOCK)

DEMARRAGE
1. Activation de la batterie de secour
Pour des raisons de sécurité, la batterie de secour est désactivée durant le transport
afin de priver complètement d’énergie le dispositif. Veuillez noter que cette étape n’est
pas indispensable au fonctionnement du Fieldbook sur batterie mais elle est indispensable pour le
remplacement à chaud.
a) Ouvrir la trappe E/S sur
le côté gauche du Fieldbook
b) Placer l’interrupteur en position „ON“
c) Fermer la trappe E/S
2. Installation de la batterie principale
ATTENTION: Utilisez uniquement la batterie fournie avec votre Fieldbook ou des bat-
teries suggérées par Logic Instrument. L’utilisation de mauvaises batteries pourrait
endommager votre dispositif ou déclencher feu et explosions.
a. Placer le Fieldbook face vers le bas sur une surface plane et propre
Si les verrous de la batterie ne sont pas sur , le Fieldbook ne fonctionnera pas sur batterie.
3. Démmarrage du Fieldbook
a) Appuyez et maintenez enfoncé le bouton jusqu’à ce que le voyant d’alimentation
s’allume.
b. S’assurer que
verrou (du haut) est
dévérouillé
c. Aligner les pattes
de la batterie avec
les fentes du châssis
d. Appuyer sur la
batterie jusqu’à
l’enclenchement du
verrou de dégagement
e. Glisser le verrou
vers la droite pour
vérrouiller

ERSTE BENUTZUNG
1. Einschalten des Backup-Akkus
Aus Sicherheitsgründen ist das Fieldbook I1 mit einem Transportschalter für den Backup-Akku
ausgestattet. Sie müssen diesen Schalter einschalten, damit Sie die hot-swapping Funktion des
Fieldbooks benutzen können.
a) Öffnen Sie die Schnittstellen-
abdeckung
b) Verschieben Sie den Schalter
auf „ON“
c) Schließen Sie die Schnittstellen-
abdeckung
2. Einsetzen des Hauptakkus
WARNUNG: Verwenden Sie ausschließlich den im Lieferumfang enthaltenen oder ein
von Logic Instrument empfohlenen Akku. Ein falscher Akku kann das Gerät beschädi-
gen oder Brände und Explosionen verursachen.
a. Legen Sie das Fieldbook mit dem Display nach unten auf eine ebene Fläche
Das Fieldbook funktioniert nur im Batteriebetrieb, wenn die Batterieverriegelung vollständig geschlos-
sen ist.
3. Einschalten des Fieldbooks
a) Drücken und halten Sie die Betriebstaste, bis die Betriebs-LED aufleuchtet
b. Vergewissern Sie
sich, dass die Batterie-
verriegelung vollstän-
dig geöffnet ist
c. Setzen Sie den
Akku wie abgebildet
ein
d. Drücken Sie den
Akku herunter, bis
dieser ein-
rastet
e. Verschieben Sie
die Batterieverriege-
lung nach rechts, um
den Akku zu sichern
