Preparing to use your grill
Beforecookingwithyourgrill,thefollowingstepsshouldbecloselyfollowedtobothcurethenishand
seasontheinteriorsteel.Failuretoproperlyfollowthesestepsmaydamagethenishand/orimpart
metallicavourstoyourrstfoods.
• Brushallinteriorsurfacesincludinggrillsandgrateswithvegetablecookingoil.
• Buildasmallreonthecharcoalpan,beingsurenottolaycoalsagainstthewalls.
• Burnthecharcoalforatleasttwohours.Yourgrillisnowreadyforuse.
Rustcanappearontheinsideofyourgrill.Maintainingalightcoatofvegetableoilontheinteriorsur-
faceswillaidintheprotectionofyourgrill.Exteriorsurfacesofthegrillmayneedoccasionaltouchup.
Werecommendtheuseofcommerciallyavailableblackhightemperaturespraypaint.NEVERPAINTTHE
INTERIOROFTHEGRILL!

liquidtoremovetheprotectivewaxcoatingappliedforshipping.Rinsewithhotwateranddrycom-
pletelywithasoftclothorpapertowel.NEVERALLOWTODRAINDRYORWASHINDISHWASHER.Now
seasonthegratestopreventrustandsticking.

RegularBriquette’s,InstantLightBriquettesorLumpwoodmayuseasafuelsourceforgrilling.When
ignitingregularbriquettesorlumpwoodcharcoal,donotuserelightersthathavepetroleumbasesor
thelikeasthesewilltaintthefoodyoueat.

Building Your Fire:
1. FormthecharcoalbriquettesorLumpwoodintoapyramidonthecharcoalgrate.
Themaximumamountofcharcoalforthisgrillis8KG(17.6LBS).
2. SolidFirestarters:
A:Placetherestarterinthebaseofthepyramid.LighttheFirestartesinseverallocationstoensure
anevenburn.
3. LiquidorGelFirestarters,coatthebriquettesorlumpwoodwiththeliquidorgelandlightaccording
tothemanufacturer’sinstructions.
5.Neveraddcharcoallighteruidortheliketohotorwarmcoalsthiscanbeextremelydangerous.
6.Oncetherehasburnedoutthecharcoalhasturnedgrey,spreadthecharcoaloutusingalong
HandledBBQtool
