A flat head screwdriver may aid in
loosening the woofer by prying between
it and the cabinet. Hold the woofer
in place with one hand while prying
around the edge with your free hand.
Caution: The woofer is approximately
11 pounds with the weight unevenly
distributed.

6The picture on the right shows what the
SR1530 looks like with the grill and woofer
removed . Place the new woofer (part
#0008873-01) where the old one was.
Follow the same steps as above, but
backwards 5 to 1, making sure to keep
the led PCB assembly cable in front of
the woofer. Power up the SR1530 and
the new woofer should now be pumping
out glorious lows. Awesome, you just
replaced a 15” woofer!
5
5The positive (solid yellow) and negative

*If you find it too difficult to connect the
cables to the woofer terminals due to
the short length of the cables, there is an
easier (albeit lengthier) way to connect
them. Instead of reconnecting the
cables to their terminals, just attach the
woofer to the cabinet as normal. Follow
steps 1-6 on how to remove the horn
assembly (pages 7-8) as this is an easier
way to access the woofer terminals
without having to work under such tight
circumstances!

7
High Frequency Driver replacement:
1
1Follow steps 1-4 of the led PCB
replacement instructions, as the grill will
need to be removed in order to access
the high frequency driver.
2
2Fourteen screws and flat washers need
to be removed from the horn assembly
using the phillips head screwdriver.
3
3Keep the fourteen screws and flat
washers in a safe place.
4
4Carefully begin to remove the entire
horn assembly (with the high and mid
frequency drivers still attached). A flat
head screwdriver may aid in loosening
the horn assembly from the cabinet if it is
sticking.
Caution: The horn weighs about 13
pounds, and the weight is not evenly
distributed.

7This is what it looks like with the grill and
horn assembly removed. Continued
on the right are further instructions and
additional pictures on how to remove
and replace the high frequency driver.
High Frequency Driver replacement continued:
8
8Two nuts and four washers may be
removed from the driver using the 8mm
combination wrench. Turn counter-
clockwise to loosen and remove,
clockwise to tighten. The other nut and
washers are located on the other side of
the horn assembly. Notice that the flat
washer is on the bottom, followed by the
locking washer, and finally the nut.

10
High Frequency Driver replacement continued:
9
9Keep the two nuts, two locking washers,
and two flat washers in a safe place.
10
10 The high frequency driver should
easily lift right off of the horn
assembly.
11
11 This is what the high frequency
driver looks like removed from
the horn assembly. Two headless
screws need to be removed from
the driver. Pliers could help if the
screws are too tight. Turn counter-
clockwise to loosen and remove,
clockwise to tighten. Keep the two
headless screws in a safe place.

replaced an amplifier assembly. Hats off
to you for a job well done!
4
4Here is what it looks like with the seven
cables removed from the amplifier
assembly. Once again, each cable
must be attached to the same terminal
that it was removed from: (1) solid
yellow, (2) yellow and black, (3) solid
green, (4) green and black, (5) solid
blue, (6) blue and black, and (7) the led
PCB assembly cable (white cable next to
the blue and black cable). Do not force
cable removal or connection, although
needle-nose pliers may aid in loosening
the crimped cables.
6
6Important:The faulty amplifier
assembly must be returned to LOUD
