Optional rear mounting rails are
also available with this rack.
Included with the rear mounting
rails are two pair of rear support
brackets.
Position the support brackets on
the Vari-Rack as shown. Align
the holes in the bracket with the
matching holes in the mounting
rails (make sure all 4 holes are
centered). Insert a 10-32 x 1/2"
flat head screw in the holes
shown in (detail D.)
Align the .218" dia holes in the
additional mounting rails with
the slots in the support bracket
and insert a 10-32 x 5/8" truss
head screw in each hole.
Secure each screw with a
10-32 hex nut.
A rail side support bracket is supplied
in cabinets that are 30RU of vertical
panel space or greater. This bracket
can be installed in racks deeper than
17.5".
Attach the bracket to the front and
rear mounting rails (as shown) with
the return flanges in. Loosen the
5/16" hex nut on the assembly and
extend it to the depth of the
mounting rail holes.
Align the countersunk holes in the
ends of the bracket with the smaller
diameter holes in the mounting rails.
Make sure all 4 holes on the end of
each bracket are centered over the
matching holes on the mounting rails.
Insert a 10-32 x 1/2" flat head screw
in the inner two countersunk holes
on the bracket and secure each
screw with a 10-32 hex nut. Tighten
the 5/16" hex nut.
