UMB-Überspannungsschutz

Gerätebeschreibung
Der Überspannungsschutz dient dem Schutz der LUFFT UMB-Sensoren und wird
zwischen einem ISOCON-UMB und einem UMB-Sensor eingebaut. Für jeden UMB-
Sensor wird ein Überspannungsschutz benötigt.
Anschlüsse
geschützte Seite
Der ISOCON-UMB wird an der „geschützten Seite“ (protected side) angeschlossen.
Am Überspannungsschutz sind die Stecker identisch zum ISOCON-UMB belegt.

Die UMB-Sensoren werden an der „ungeschützten Seite“ (unprotected side)
angeschlossen. Am Überspannungsschutz sind die Stecker identisch zum ISOCON-
UMB belegt.

Um die WSx mit dem Überspannungsschutz zu verbinden ist folgende Verdrahtung
notwendig:

Für die Heizspannung der WSx ist entweder ein zusätzlicher Überspannungs-
schutz vorzusehen oder sowohl die Heizspannung als auch die Sensorver-
sorgung parallel über denselben Überspannungsschutz zu versorgen.

UMB-Surge Arrester

Equipment Description
The surge arrester serves to protect the LUFFT UMB sensors and is installed
between the ISOCON-UMB and the UMB sensor. A surge arrester is required for
each UMB sensor.
Connections
Protected side
The ISOCON-UMB is connected to the “protected side”.
The connectors on the surge arrester are assigned in exactly the same way as on the
ISOCON-UMB.
Unprotected side
The UMB sensors are connected on the “unprotected” side. The connectors on the
surge arrester are assigned in exactly the same way as on the ISOCON-UMB.

The wiring required to connect the WSx to the surge arrester is as follows:

Either an additional surge arrester must be provided on the WSx heating
power supply or both heating and sensor power supply must be powered in
parallel using the same surge arrester.
