The LNscope system has been developed for scientific research. This instrument has been
designed to be used to observe magnified images of specimens in routine and research
applications. Do not use this instrument for any purpose other than its intended use.
The device may not be rebuilt or dismantled for other purposes. Only trained persons should
work with this equipment. Failure to comply with the safety instructions and work procedures
described in the manual may result in personal injury or damage to the unit . These damages
are not covered by the guarantee. Due to on-going development, some illustrations in the
manual may differ from the supplied system. We welcome any user feedback that may result
in future improvement of this manual.
2.1 Cleaning System
1. When cleaning, the system must be disconnected from the power supply.
2.To clean the lenses and other glass components, simply blow dirt away using a
commercially available blower and wipe gently using a piece of cleaning paper
(or clean gauze). If a lens is stained with fingerprints or oil smudges, wipe it with
gauze slightly moistened with commercially available pure alcohol.
Since the pure alcohol is highly flammable,
it must be handled carefully.
Be sure to keep it away from open flames or
potential sources of electrical sparks –– for example,
electrical equipment that is being switched on or off.
Additionally remember to use it only in a well-ventilated room.
3. Never attempt to disassemble any part of the microscope.
4. When disposing of this unit, check the regulations and rules of your local
government and be sure to observe them.
2.2 Distribution configurations
The system is offered in two versions:
a - LNscope without Transmitted light unit (System for InVivo Setups)
b - LNscope with Transmitted light unit (System for Invitro Setups)
Accessories such as Olympus parts can be upgraded with any version.
2.3 Maintenance / Repair
The LNscope system is maintenance-free.
2.4 Warning Indication
A warning sticker is attached to a part where special precaution is required when handling and
using the system. Always heed the warning.
