ENG USER MANUAL
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
This User Manual contains information on the use and care of this product. Please read this user manual carefully before using the appliance and save it for future reference.
•Before the first use, check the device specifications and the power supply in your network.
•Use only for domestic purposes according to the instruction manual. It is not intended for industrial use.
•For indoor use only.
•Do not use the device with a damaged cord, plug or other damages.
•Keep the power cord away from sharp edges and/or hot surfaces.
•Do not pull the cord, always pull the plug. Do not reel the cord around the device housing.
•Never attempt to dissemble and/or repair the item by yourself. If you encounter problems, please contact the nearest customer service centre.
•Using accessories or replacement parts that are not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause damage to the item.
•Always unplug the device and let it cool down before cleaning and removing parts. Keep unplugged when not in use.
•To avoid electric shock and/or fire, do not submerge in water or other liquids. If this occurs, immediately unplug the device and contact your service centre for inspection.
•This appliance is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities. Neither for persons with a lack of experience and/or
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
•Do not move the appliance until it has completely cooled down.
•Do not touch the metal parts as they get extremely hot during operation.
•Be careful handling the sharp parts of this device.
•This device is only intended to prepare food, no other activities should be performed with it.
•Keep the device outside the reach of small children.
BEFORE FIRST USE
•Unpack the appliance and remove all packaging materials and labels.
•Wipe all surfaces, skewers and the removable tray with a wet cloth and some detergent. Do not use chemicals and/or abrasive cleaners.
•Connect the device to a power source, switch it on and let it run free (with no products) for 5 minutes. When you use the appliance for the first time it could generate smoke and/or a typical smell. This
is normal for the first use.
USING THE APPLIANCE
Set up of the device
•Prepare the skewers with your preferred ingredients.
•Place the shashlik maker on an even and stable surface.
•Position the grease tray.

Positioning of the gear and shaft parts.
1. Insert the gear on to the axle.
2. Fix the bracket as shown on to the body back plate
3. Fix the other side of the bracket on to the gear
4. Tighten the screw to lock the bracket on to the gear
ATTENTION: should the skewers seem to rotate incorrectly, please repeat the assembly process and make sure the
bracket is positioned correctly both on to the body back plate as well as on to the gear.
•Insert the other 6 skewers with food into the skewer holder.
•Connect the device to a power supply and switch it on. The cooking process will start.
CAUTION: Never use the appliance without the reflector, make sure it is positioned correctly before each operation.
•When you are finished cooking, switch off the device and unplug it from the power supply.
COOKING RECOMMENDATIONS
The cooking time depends on various factors such as the initial product temperature, product quantity and your taste. The approximate average cooking time (with a full load) is:

To avoid the reflector from being stained with grease we advise you to cover it with heat resistant aluminium foil. Make sure the foil does not touch the heating element. Change the foil when it is dirty.
The oil dripping from the product during preparation will be collected in the detachable grease tray, which is easy to wash.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
•Please clean all surfaces regularly from grease and dirt. Do not use sandpaper, chalk, sand and/or any other abrasive material for cleaning to avoid damage to the surface of the device.
•Unplug the device before cleaning and let it cool down completely.
•Wipe the outer surfaces with a wet cloth and detergent.
•CAUTION: Do not submerge the heating element, base and the device itself into water or liquid to avoid electric shock and permanent damage to the device.
•Removable parts like the skewers, grease tray and the reflector may be washed in a dishwasher.

Disassembling:
•Disassemble the gear and shaft parts from the top of the body.
1. Unlock the screw.
2. Remove the bracket from the gear and move it towards the right side.
3. P ull out the bracket from the body back plate.
Disassemble below parts for thorough cleaning.

BELANGRIJKE VEILIGHEIDSVOORSCHRIFTEN
Deze handleiding bevat informatie omtrent het gebruik en onderhoud van dit product. Leest U de handleiding aandachtig voor het gebruik en bewaar het als naslagwerk.
•Controleer voor het eerste gebruik of de stroom specificaties van dit apparaat overeenkomen met uw stroomvoorziening.
•Uitsluitend voor persoonlijk gebruik conform deze handleiding, niet voor industrieel gebruik.
•Enkel bestemd voor gebruik binnenshuis.
•Gebruik het apparaat niet met een beschadigd snoer, stekker of andere beschadigingen.
•Houdt de stroomkabel uit de buurt van scherpe randen en/of hete oppervlaktes.
•Verwijder de stroomkabel uit het stopcontact door aan de stekker te trekken, trek nooit aan het snoer. Wikkel de stroomkabel nooit om het apparaat.
•Probeer het apparaat nooit zelf uit elkaar te halen of te repareren, neem bij problemen contact op met onze serviceafdeling.
•Het gebruik van accessoires en/of vervangende onderdelen welke niet door MARTA verkocht zijn kunnen schade aan het apparaat veroorzaken.
•Alvorens het apparaat schoon te maken dient U de stekker uit het stopcontact te halen en het apparaat volledig te laten afkoelen.
•Om brand en/of een elektrische schok te voorkomen dient u het apparaat nooit in water of andere vloeistoffen onder te dompelen. Gebeurt dit toch dan dient u onmiddellijk de stekker uit het
stopcontact te verwijderen en contact met de serviceafdeling op te nemen.
•Gebruik van dit apparaat is niet bedoeld voor personen met beperkte fysieke of mentale capaciteiten en/of personen (inclusief kinderen) welke onvoldoende kennis en ervaring hebben in het
gebruik van dit apparaat. Tenzij er supervisie is en/of er instructies zijn gegeven door een persoon verantwoordelijk voor hun veiligheid
•Verplaats het apparaat niet totdat deze volledig is afgekoeld.
•Vermijd contact met de metalen onderdelen tijdens het gebruik, deze worden extreem heet.
•Wees voorzichtig bij het contact met de scherpe onderdelen van dit apparaat.
•Dit apparaat is ontworpen om voedsel mee te bereiden, het dient niet voor andere doeleinden gebruikt te worden.
•Buiten bereik van kleine kinderen houden.
VOORDAT U HET APPARAAT GEBRUIKT
•Pak uw apparaat uit en verwijder alle verpakkingsmaterialen.
•Reinig alle oppervlaktes, de shashlik pennen en de verwijderbare opvangtray met een vochtige doek en wat afwasmiddel. Gebruik geen bijtende en/of schurende schoonmaakmiddelen.
•Steek de stekker in het stopcontact, schakel het apparaat in en laat het 5 minuten vrij draaien (zonder product). Tijdens het eerste gebruik kan er wat rook en een typische geur vrijkomen, dit is
normaal tijdens het eerste gebruik.
INSTRUCTIES VOOR GEBRUIK
Installatie van het apparaat
•Bereid de ingrediënten voor en bevestig deze op de shashlik pennen.
•Plaats de shashlik barbecue op een vlakke en stabiele ondergrond.
•Plaats de verwijderbare vet opvangtray.

Plaatsing van het tandwiel en de bevestigingsbeugel
1. Bevestig het tandwiel op de centrale as.
2. Bevestig de beugel op de achterzijde van de behuizing.
3. Bevestig de andere kant van de beugel aan het tandwiel.
4. Borg de bevestiging op het tandwiel met de meegeleverde schroef.
LET OP: Indien de pennen niet goed lijken te draaien verzoeken wij u het installatie proces te herhalen,
verzeker uzelf dat de beugel correct is aangesloten op zowel de behuizing als op het tandwiel!
5. Bevestig de 6 shashlik pennen aan de onderzijde in de houder en aan de bovenzijde in het tandwiel.
6. Steek de stekker in het stopcontact en schakel het apparaat in, het kookproces zal nu starten.
LET OP: Gebruik dit apparaat nooit zonder de reflector en verzeker uzelf van een correcte positionering voordat u het apparaat inschakelt.
7. Wanneer u klaar bent met het gebruik van dit apparaat dient u het uit te schakelen en de stekker uit het stopcontact te halen.
Bereidingstijd richtlijn
De bereidingstijd hangt af van diverse factoren waaronder de temperatuur van het product, de hoeveelheid, afmetingen en uw smaak.
De gemiddelde (indicatieve) bereidingstijd met volle belading is als volgt:

Om aantasting van de reflector met vet en vuil te voorkomen adviseren wij u deze in te pakken met aluminiumfolie. Let op dat het folie de verwarmingselementen niet raakt. Vervang het folie wanneer dit
smerig is of indien gewenst na elk gebruik. Het vet en/of olie wat vrijkomt tijdens het kookproces wordt opgevangen in het verwijderbare opvangreservoir. Dit is gemakkelijk te reinigen.
SCHOONMAAK EN ONDERHOUD
•LET OP: Verwijder altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact en laat het apparaat volledig afkoelen voordat u het apparaat schoonmaakt of onderhoud pleegt.
•Reinig alle oppervlaktes regelmatig, gebruik geen schuurpapier, kalk, zand of andere schurende middelen om beschadiging van het oppervlakte te voorkomen.
•Neem de behuizing af met een vochtige doek en wat afwasmiddel.
•Let op: Dompel het apparaat en/of het verwarmingselement nooit onder in water of een andere vloeistof, om schade aan het apparaat of een eclectische schok te voorkomen.
•Verwijderbare onderdelen zoals de shashlik pennen, de vet opvangtray en de reflector mogen in een vaatwasser gewassen worden.

Uit elkaar halen
•Verwijder het tandwiel en de beugel:
1. Draai de schroef los
2. Verwijder de beugel van het tandwiel en beweeg deze naar de rechterkant
3. Verwijder de beugel uit de achterzijde van de behuizing.
Verwijder onderstaande onderdelen voor een grondige reiniging:
1. Olie/vet opvang reservoir
2. Shashlik pennenhouder
3. Tandwiel en as (onderdelen)
4. Shashlik pennen
5. Reflector
