POINTER INSTRUMENTS BY LUNAR ARTEFACTS
This is our very rst product and we want to set a new
standard for design, not only in its form and function, but also
in longevity.
We are not just applying this ideology to the product at the
surface level, it is embedded in each and every component.
Every part and material is selected based on its particular
traits; for example, leather is the most breathable and ages
the best. The decisions for electrical components are not
made just upon their performance, but also its availability for
general public and easy maintenance. Hence why we insist on
solderless switches for plug and play replacement.
All together, we hope to create a product that is truely timeless.

CONNECTIONS

Flick the power switch to “on” position.
Press the connect button to switch to Bluetooth mode
with bluetooth indicator to “on”
Press and hold the connect button (same button as
step 2) for 3 seconds and release. The LED light will
start to ash in a fast pace. The mouse is now in pairing
mode.
For windows, go to “Bluetooth device settings” and
select “Add Bluetooth or other device”, once the
system nds “Pointer Instrument”, click to Pair.
For Mac, go to “System Preferences” and select
“Bluetooth”, once “Pointer Instrument” appears, click
to Pair.
Once pairing is successful, the LED indicator will stop
ashing and dim aer a few seconds.
*For the exact paring process, please refer to the
specic PC/MAC system for guidance.
Insert the USB-C to the mouse.
Connect the USB-A to the computer.
Switch power button to “on” position.
Press the connect button until both LED lights are on.

Retrieve the Dongle from the base of the mouse.
Insert the Dongle into the devide.
Switch power button to “on” position.
Press the connect button to Dongle (2.4G) mode with
Dongle indicator on. It should be plug and play.

DPI SETTINGS
DPI stands for “dots per inch” is the typical way of measuring
sensitivity of an interface device. Usually the larger the screen size,
the higher the DPI, however there is no “correct” setting. We highly
recommend icking through to feel what’s comfortable.

Repetitive tensing of hand and wrist muscles for prolonged periods
leads to shoulder and neck pain.
The Pointer Instrument is designed to “hook” to the shape of the hand
delivering accurate movements without the need to grip.
We are all used to holding tightly so
being relaxed might need a little getting
used to. However the more relaxed your
hand is the less stress your arm endures.
As its impossible to produce one size
that ts all, we have designed sizing
attachments for a better t. So if you feel
any discomfort, we recommed trying a
hand grip attachment.

The leather top is intended to age, getting darker and smoother with
use. You can clean and condition the leather with mild leather soap and
conditioner. Frequency of cleaning is dependent on use and preference, in
general you should aim to even out stains thus producing a pleasant tonal
variation that gets better with time.
The uncoated metal shells will tanish evenly over time creating a unique
patina. You can use metal polish (or toothpaste - preferably non-abbrasive)
to clean up or maintain a certain level of shine. Note - remove leather top
rst before polishing as it will stain the leather!
Plated shells will retain their shine for a prolonged period. Please clean
gentily with a so cloth and avoid scratching. Do not use metal polish to
clean plated products!
Batteries degredation is unavoidable however life time can be exended if you
avoid emptying the battery. The battery is replacable however we suggest
you return the product for servicing as opening will void warranty. For more
information and battery safety, please see page 16.
CARE|MAINTENANCE
HANDLE WITH CARE - Designed for indoor use and on a at surface.
Beware the anti-friction ring is smooth and may slide o unstable surfaces.
AVOID LIQUIDS / MOISTURE - They will aect the electronics, leather
and metal shell. If a large spillage occurs, switch o and soak up with towel
and leave completely dry (24h+) before use.
AVOID HEAT - Keep under 40°C (104°F) as high tempertures will adversly
aect the battery. Also avoid prolonged periods in direct sunlight, this can
cause the leather to dry and crack.
WARRANTY IF POSSIBLE. Every eort has been made to make the
device as easy to maintain as possible, however do to safety and legal
reasons, please do not attempt self repair as this will void warranty.
DO NOT THROW AWAY. This product is designed for life and should
not be thrown away! Please sell, give, display or even send it back to us We
intend to use “write o” returns as educational tools or art projects, this way
we can reduce as much waste as possible.

REUSEABLE PACKAGING
Packaging is normally a disposable part
of the product, we nd this can be very
wasteful so we want ours to be as useful
as possible. It can be displayed on a at
surface, or even pinned/nailed on to the
wall.
The box and quilted retainer are
designed to be reused as a photo frame
sized perfectly for standard 6x4 or
instant wide lm.

If you are unable to make the claim through the reseller, or if you have puchased the
Product directly from lunarartefacts.com; Please scan the barcode below for automated

Address, description of the problem and Proof of Purchase.
If the problem requires servicing, we will issue you with a Merchandise
Authorization Number (RMA number) and return instruction.
Do not send or return products to us without a RMA number!
We advise that you select a method of shipping that is both insured and trackable (e.g.
UPS, DHL, FedEx). Any expense of claiming under this Limited Warranty will be
borne by the person making the claim (including any shipping and handling charges in
returning the product, as well as any applicable customs, duties or taxes in relation to
the claim). If the Product is validly returned under the terms of this Limited Warranty,
Lunar Artefacts will be responsible for postage expenses for shipping the Product back
to you (but not any customs charges, duties, or taxes).
You are responsible for ensuring that the Product is properly packaged and will bear the
full risk of loss or damage for any product that is returned improperly packaged. Lunar
Artefacts shall not be responsible for items damaged or lost in transit while shipping
to us.
If the procedure herein is not followed, Lunar Artefacts reserves the right to reject the
claim at its discretion.
RETURNING A PRODUCTSUPPORT|WARRANTY
Even though our products are designed to be repaired, due to safety and legal reasons
we cannot allow customers to perform repairs at home. DO NOT attempt to repair the
product yourself as it will void the warranty!

Lunar Artefacts Limited only warrants the original purchaser of this product, when
purchased from an authorized reseller or distributor, that this product will be free from
defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for the length of the

com under specications for your product, from the date of purchase (or delivery as
may be required in certain jurisdictions).
Lunar Artefacts reserves the right, before having any obligation under this warranty,
to inspect the damaged product, we may reject warranty if we nd evidence of
unwarranted damage. This limited warranty does not cover any damage due to
accidents, misuse, abuse or negligence. Please retain the dated sales receipt as evidence
of the original purchaser and date of purchase as you will need it for any warranty
services. This warranty is non-transferable and is limited to the original purchaser
and the country in which the product was purchased. This limited warranty does not,
under any circumstances, cover the replacement of or reimbursement for any electronic
device or personal property that is not a Lunar Artefacts product.
No Lunar Artefacts reseller, distributor, agent or employee is authorized to change or
extend the terms of this Limited Warranty. Lunar Artefacts reserves the right to amend
the terms of this Limited Warranty at any time without notice.

This product is intended to be used as an input device for connecting to a computer
and is for indoor home/oce use only. It contains no user-serviceable parts. Do not
disassemble it and stop using it immediately if damaged. Lunar Artefacts accepts no
liability whatsoever for any damage to this product or injuries caused due to careless or
improper use or for purposes for which it is not intended.
SAFETY GUIDELINES
In order to have maximum safety while using the Pointer Instrument mouse, we insist
that you follow the guidelines below:
1. Should you have trouble operating the device properly and troubleshooting does
not work, unplug the device and contact support. ([email protected] or visit
www.lunarartefacts.com) Do not attempt to service or x the device yourself at any
time.
2. Do not disassemble the device (doing so will void your warranty) and do not attempt
to operate it under abnormal current loads.
3. Keep the device away from liquid, humidity or moisture. Operate the device only
within the specic temperature range of 0° C (32° F) to 40° C (104° F). Should the
temperature exceed this range, switch o the device and let cool before attempting
to reuse.
BATTERY SAFETY
The Pointer Instrument mouse contains a Li-ion rechargeable battery. The general life
expectancy of the batteries used are based on actual usage. Please recharge your battery
before its empty as this will help to prolong life time.
Do not open, manipulate, or expose to conducting materials (metal). moisture, liquid,
re, or heat. Conducting any of above action may cause batteries to leak or explode,
resulting in personal injury.
Do not leave the rechargeable battery discharged or unused for extended period, this
will aect the life time of the battery. For long storage, try to leave 50% charge before
disuse.

HEALTH RISKS
Extended use of any tool may cause strains on the body that will result in pain and
discomfort. Try to relax your muscles during use and take regular breaks, various
accessory grips are also avaliable to help adapt to dierent hand sizes. Consult a doctor
