3.1 general
The BigEye RGB LED spot is light fixture especi lly designed for
outdoor pplic tions where high light output is necess ry.
The LED PCB c rries 24 x 3W LED’s of which 8x Red, 8x Green
nd 8x Blue.
The housing is m de from solid luminium so it serves s cooler
s well.
An ddition l 700mA led driver nd power supply is necess ry to
use the BigEye RGB LED spot.

4.2 Protection from electric shock
Although this device itself does not oper te with d ngerous
volt ges, the inst ll tion in which is intended to be used, c n
cont in d ngerous volt ges.
Shut down the power of the complete inst ll tion before c rrying
out ny inst ll tion, or m inten nce work.
Use only AC to DC power sources, suit ble for the pplic tion,
nd conform to loc l regul tions. Ple se ensure yourself th t the
AC to DC power supply is ble to deliver the r ted current
requirements of the inst ll tion.
If ny c ble, se l or housing is d m ged, cr cked or reformed,
disconnect the power of the inst ll tion immedi tely.

4.3 Protections from fire and burns
Do not oper te this led-unit if mbient temper tures, is bove
45 °C (113 °F). Ple se ensure yourself th t sufficient ventil tion
round the led module is possible.
It might be necess ry to llow the led-unit to cool down for 5
minutes, before servicing.
Do not modify the led-fixture, in w y, not described in this

securely f stened. Verify th t the led unit is firmly fixed to its
supporting underground.

Assure yourself th t there is sufficient nd unrestricted ir flow
round the RGB LED spot.

5.3 Mounting

6 External connections
afety precautions
Never connect the live power on the input termin ls of the
BigEye RGB LED spot! The BigEye RGB LED spot c n only be use
by proper 700mA led driver powered by 48 VDC power
supply.
In c se of doubts, cont ct your point of s le.
Polarity
The BigEye RGB LED spot is pol rity sensitive. So observe
pol rity nd c bling:
•Inner conductor m rked with 1 = Common +
•Inner conductor m rked with 2 = Red
•Inner conductor m rked with 3 = Green
•Inner conductor m rked with 4 = Blue
Improper connection, might d m ge the BigEye RGB LED spot
nd power supply perm nently. In c se of inversed pol rity, the
w rr nty is void.
Connectors
M ke sure to use IP66 connectors if the use of connectors is
necess ry, in n outdoor environment, to obt in IP66 for
complete system. The BigEye RGB LED spot c n be delivered
with suit ble IP66 connectors. Ple se cont ct your point of s le.
Power supply: Rated current
The r ted input current r nge of the BigEye RGB LED spot is
700mA. Use proper led driver.
We recommence the ‘LL 12ch LEDdriver 700mA’ with the proper
48VDC power supply. A highly suit ble, DMX driven LED driver.
One driver c n control up to 4 BigEye RGB LED spots.

7 EMC and safety requirements
The RGB LED spot is fully compli nt to the LVD nd EMC
directive of the Europe n council, if used in properly designed
setup.
EMC requirements of the power supply
The RGB LED spot is only intended to be used in lighting
pplic tions, nd s such, the complete ssembly of led unit nd
power supply needs to be fully compli nt with the h rmonized
st nd rds.

8.1 Safety precautions

8.2 Cleaning

covered by the product w rr nty.
Never use solvents to cle n the outer housing of the unit.

9 Warranty
9.1 Application of warranty
Warranty period

by the consumer, s evidenced by invoice d te given out by your
point of s le.
Warranty service

•Any softw re
•Defects c used by modific tions c rried out without Lux
Lumen’s pprov l.
•D m ge resulting from the f ct th t product is not
conforming to country specific st nd rds or specific tions in
nother country th t the country of purch se.
Costs incurred by Lux Lumen’s service center in m king ny
doptions or modific tions of product necess ry for country
specific technic l or s fety st nd rds or specific tions, or ny
other cost to djust the product s result of ny specific tions
which h ve ch nged since the delivery of the product.

Warranty service is excluded if damage or defects have
been caused by:
Improper use, extensive use, h ndling or oper tion of the
product s referred to in the user m nu l or oper tor m nu l
nd/or relev nt user documents, including without limit tion,
incorrect stor ge, dropping, excessive shocks, corrosions, dirt,
w ter, or s nd d m ge, if the product is not r ted to be used in
severe conditions, indic ted by its IP nd IK degree, mentioned
in the product specific tions in this m nu l.
Rep irs, modific tions or cle ning c rried out by non Lux
Lumen service centre.
Use of sp re p rts, softw re or consum bles, which re not
comp tible with the product.
Connecting the product to equipment not intended to be used
with this product.
Defects c used by improper condition of the power supply
network.
In dequ te p ck ging of the product when returning it under the
RMA procedure.
Accidents or dis sters or ny c use beyond the control of Lux
Lumen, including but not limited to lightning, w ter, fire, public
disturb nces, improper ventil tion, nd cts of god.
Others
It is the responsibility of the customer to b ckup nd s ve ny
softw re files nd progr ms before rep ir nd to restore the
s me fter such rep ir.
This w rr nty does not ffect the consumer’s st tutory rights
under pplic ble n tion l legisl tion in force, nor the consumer’s
rights g inst the ret iler rising from the s les/purch se
contr ct. In the bsence of pplic ble n tion l legisl tion, this
w rr nty will be the consumer’s sole nd exclusive remedy, nd
Lux Lumen c nnot be li ble for ny incident l or consequenti l
d m ges for bre ch of ny express or implied w rr nty of this
product.

9.2 RMA procedure
To send m teri l b ck to Lux Lumen, you need RMA (Return
M teri l Authoriz tion) document th t you will receive from Lux
Lumen.
Without the RMA document, we c nnot ccept the m teri l.
The procedure to obt in RMA:
tep 1:
Customer cont cts Lux Lumen bout w rr nty, defects if
m teri l h s to be returned.
tep 2:
Lux Lumen sends the customer filled out RMA document (using
unique RMA number)
tep 3:
Customer sends m teri l (include copy of the RMA document
with the m teri l)
tep 4:
Lux Lumen ev lu tes the problem, nd informs the client if
rep ir is done under w rr nty, or m kes n offer to the client for
rep ir.
tep 5:
The procedure rel ted to lux lumen qu lity procedures, ccording
ISO 9001 is st rted up.
