USB & MIDI Connections
The Musical Instrument Digital Interface, or MIDI, is a world-wide standard communication interface. It allows electronic
musical instruments and computers to communicate with each other so that instructions and other data can pass
between them. This makes it possible to create a system of MIDI instruments and devices oering more versatility and
control than just that of isolated instruments. It also allows you to edit your playing from the computer, or play back a
MIDI song on your computer while you drum along with it.
The USB connector allows you to connect the drum kit directly to your computer via a compatible cable. It can connect
without driver installation on both Windows® and MacOS systems. The drum will be recognized as a USB audio device to
receive and transmit the MIDI messages described above.
