WARNINGS
Before starting the vehicle, be sure that the clamps are connected in
the right way and the green indicator light is on.
This Jumpstarter contains components that tend to produce arcs or
sparks. To prevent fire or explosion, do not operate the Jumpstarter in
locations containing batteries or flammable materials, or in locations
that require ignition-protected equipment.
This product contains a sealed, non-spillable lead-acid battery which
must be recycled or disposed of properly.
Working in the vicinity of a lead-acid battery is dangerous. During
normal operation, this type of battery releases hydrogen gas which is
explosive and poisonous. Before using the unit, you must carefully
read and follow these instructions and those published by the
manufacturer of the battery or any equipment you intend to use in the
vicinity of the battery.
Protect the unit from direct sunlight or excessive heat and moisture.
This unit contains electrical circuitry that is not water-resistant. Do not
submerge the unit in water.
Never attempt to jump start or re-charge a frozen battery.
The jump start power switch controls power to the output terminals. To
prevent accidental shorting, keep this switch in the off position for all
operations, unless for jump starting or using the outing terminals to
power a 12V DC appliance.
Do not smoke, use matches or cigarette lighter, or allow any spark or
flame near battery or engine.
Put the clamps back on the holder after use to avoid sparking.

charge the battery.
5. OPERATION
The unit should be operated only in locations that meet the following
requirements:
Dry Do not allow water or other liquids to drop or splash on the
unit.
Cool Ambient air temperature should be between -10Ԩand 40Ԩ
(14°F and 104°F) – the cooler the better within this range.
Ventilated Leave at least 2” (5cm) clearance around the Jumpstarter for
air flow. Ensure that the ventilation openings are not
obstructed.
Safe Do not operate the unit in the same compartment as batteries
or in any compartment capable of storing flammable liquids
like gasoline.

gases. These gases are very corrosive and prolonged
exposure will damage the Jumpstarter

7
WARNING: Fire Hazard
Never allow jumpstart cables’ red and black clamps to touch each other or
another common metal conductor. This could cause damage to the unit
and/or create a sparking/explosion hazard.
WARNING
The connection of the jumpstart cables to the vehicle’s battery terminals
must be positive to positive (red clamp to battery “+”) and negative to
negative (black clamp to battery “-“). A reverse polarity connection may
cause damage to the unit and/or create a sparking/explosion hazard.
NOTE: Closely follow these instructions to jumpstart your vehicle
as they may be different from the instructions supplied with other
jumpstart products or jumpstart cables.
HOW TO JUMPSTART A VEHICLE
1. Turn off the vehicle and all accessories.
2. Place the Jumpstarter on a flat and stable surface near the battery
which need to be started. Ensure that the Jumpstart power switch is
“OFF”.
3. Connect the red positive (+) clamp of the cables to the positive (+)
terminal of the engine battery.
4. Connect the black negative (-) clamp of the cables to the engine block,
cylinder head, or other stationary heavy metal part of the motor. If the
red “Reverse Polarity” LED illuminates, then reverse polarity has been
detected. Correct polarity must be established before proceeding.
Disconnect the Jumpstart clamps from the vehicle’s battery and repeat
steps (3) and (4).
5. Switch the Jumpstart power switch to ON. Before starting the engine,
make sure the Jumpstarter and the cables are clear of metal parts and
other moving components.
6. Crank the engine for 5 seconds or until it starts, whichever is first.
WARNING: Fire Hazard
Do not crank the engine for more than 5 seconds. The Jumpstart
feature is designed for short term operation only. Operating the
Jumpstart feature for more than 5 seconds may cause damage to the
unit. Allow the Jumpstarter to cool down for at least 3 minutes after
each boost.
7. Switch off the Jumpstart power switch.

8
8. Remove the red positive (+) clamp and then the black negative (-)
clamp from the engine battery.
6. RECHARGING
WARNING
Do not charge the unit in wet or moist locations because it may cause
severe electric shock and injury may result.
WARNING
Do not charge the unit immediately after any severe discharge or heavy
usage. Wait half an hour to let the battery of the unit cool down first.
NOTE: Recharge the Jumpstarter after each use. When the
Jumpstarter is not in use, it should be recharged every 3 months!
WARNING
Make sure that no 12V DC appliance is connected to the Jumpstarter
during charging!
RECHARGING THE BATTERY WITH THE AC CHARGING ADAPTER
1. Turn the rotary switch to the “OFF” position.
2. Plug AC charging adapter into charging jack.
3. Plug AC charging adapter into 110V AC electrical socket.
4. Do not stop until the battery is fully charged (about 28 hours).
Features: Input voltage 13.5V, Input current 0.5A, protected.
CAUTION
The 28-hour charging time for the unit is based on an input of 110V from
the AC wall outlet. If the voltage is lower than 110V AC, recharging may
take more than 28 hours.
Once fully charged, the charging current automatically reduces to a
floating charge mode, and the unit can be left permanently connected to
the AC charger.

9
RECHARGING THE BATTERY WITH THE JUMPSTART CLIPS
WARNING: Fire Hazard
Never allow cables’ red and black clamps to touch each other or another
common metal conductor. This could cause damage to the unit and/or
create a sparking/explosion hazard.
The connection of the cables to the power source must be positive to
positive (red clamp to battery “+”) and negative to negative (black clamp to
battery “-“). A reverse polarity connection may cause damage to the unit
and/or create a sparking/explosion hazard.
To recharge with the jumpstart clips:
1. Ensure that the jumpstart power switch is “OFF”.
2. Connect the red positive (+) clamp of the cables to the positive (+)
terminal of power source.
3. Connect the black negative (-) clamp of the cables to the negative (-)
terminal of power source. If the red “Reverse Polarity” LED illuminates,
then reverse polarity has been detected. Correct polarity must be
established before proceeding. Disconnect the jumpstarting clamps
from the vehicle’s battery and do the steps 2 and 3 again.
4. Turn on the jumpstart power switch.
5. Turn on the power source to charge the battery.
Features: Input voltage 13.5V, Input current 2A (recommended), not
protected.
7. 12V DC OUTLET
This option allows you to use optional 12V power accessories with the
cigarette lighter plug. Use the portable power outlet for power supply,
fishing and camping trips, extended running for mobile phones,
camcorders, computers and so on by combining your unit with an inverter
provides 110V AC power.
NOTE: There is no 12V cigarette plug with this unit!
