Description
Software version 1.32 has been released for the FFD 3.5” Ultra Wide SCSI, which replaces
software version 1.31. Major changes include:
• Execution of each Sanitize requirement in one command/interrupt
• Faster Security Erase and Sanitize procedures
• “Strong” Erase (erase operation repeated up to 16 times)
• Additional Sanitize procedure based on IRIG-06 requirements

Reason for Change
The additional data security features make FFD 3.5” Ultra Wide SCSI even more secure, and
suitable for a broader range of applications.
Availability
FFD 3.5” Ultra Wide SCSI with software version 1.32 will be shipped from June 2003.
Customers that prefer the previous version for new ordered units should notify M-Systems, and
special ordering information will be provided.
