M-SERIES™ INSTALL GUIDE
STEP 1: BUILD SLEEVES
STEP 2: INSTALL SLEEVES, SCREW TO BUILDING INSIDE & OUT, AND BOLT
Attach Rails: Screw side rails to sleeve on top and
both sides. Refer to installation instructions to set
the appropriate depth.
Insert sleeve into wall opening
Attach side panels to sleeve base with screws and
be sure to caulk. Then attach supply/return air
divider and top panel.
Screw to building face
Also screw to side panels and base to frame
Final Sleeve
Bolt base to wooden platform
Caulk sides and top rails to building face.
TIME NEEDED
1.5 HR’S - 2 HR’S

STEP 4: INSTALL LOUVER
STEP 3: SET WOOD BASE AND SCREW DOWN, ATTACH 3 GASKETS
Attach the foam gasket to the back side of the
louver to seal off the divider plate for
supply/return air
Use the supplied wood to level the unit base, attach
with screws to the platform.
Screw louver in place Finished louver
Start screws in louver to hang on key-hole slots Pass louver through sleeve
Note: Tie rope to louver before passing through
sleeve if there is no balcony to stand on.
Peel and apply the three base pads as shown Finished base pan and gaskets

STEP 6: SET UNIT AND ATTACH TO SLEEVE
STEP 7: WIRE & HOOK UP UTILITIES
Set unit in place, pushing tight to gaskets
Make utilities connections per installation manual and local building code. Attach duct work as required to pre-bent duct flan es.
Attach strapping to wall sleeve and using existing
screws, attach to unit. Be sure you cannot see
daylight around gasket.

STEP 5: EXTEND FLUE PIPE
Remove screw and extend flue pip . (MGE only)
