Scope of supply
Please check the completeness of the delivery and notify us within 14 days of purchase, if the
delivery is not complete. The package you have purchased should contain the following:
Warning notices
Improper use of the Desk Magnier may put you and others at risk, as well as cause damage to
the product. Therefore, it is important that you read the following warnings and take notice of the
instructions for use.
Hazards for children and persons with limited ability to operate electronic equipment
The Table Magnifier together with its accessories and packaging are not toys. Keep them out of
the reach of children. Failure to do so could lead to electric shocks, poisoning and suffocation.
The Desk Magnifier and accessories should not be used by children or persons with limited
physical, sensory or mental abilities, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their
safety and they have receivedfull instructions on using the device safely. Supervise children at all
times to ensure that they do not play with the appliance
Hazards of using batteries
Remove the batteries from your Desk Magnifier if you will not be using it for a longer time
There is a risk of explosion on improper replacement of the batteries or when using batteries of
the wrong type. Always make sure that the batteries are installed with the correct polarity
(+ and –) as shown on the battery.
Use only batteries of type “CR 2016”. Never mix old and new batteries or batteries of different
types or manufacturers! Replace all batteries of one set at the same time. Clean battery contacts
and the contacts in the device itself before installing batteries.
Never subject the batteries to excessive heat, such as sunshine, fire etc. There is a risk of fire and
explosion.
Keep the batteries out of the reach of children. Do not allow children to replace batteries
unsupervised!
Never throw batteries on the fire, short-circuit them or take them apart. Do not weld or solder on
or next to batteries. Risk of explosion.
NEVER touch leaking batteries without the proper protection.
Keep unused batteries in the original packaging and away from metal objects. Do not mix
batteries after removing them from the packaging.

Never store or transport a battery in a bag/toolbox or the like if there is any risk of them coming
into contact with metal objects.
Remove dead batteries from the device immediately. Dispose of batteries in accordance with the
law.
Use
Place the Desk Magnier on a text or object that you want to look at in magnied form. The
maximum 5-times enlargement applies to objects on the base of the Desk Magnier. Press the
silver outside ring on the Desk Magnier to switch the light on or o. The light will switch o
automatically after 10 minutes.
Replacing batteries
Open the battery compartment on the inside of the Desk Magnier by sliding the cover in the
direction of the arrow and lifting the cover. Remove both existing batteries and insert 2 new
batteries of type “CR 2016”.
Please ensure that both batteries are inserted in the same direction of Plus (+) and Minus (-) pole.
The plus pole should be pointing towards you.
Cleaning
Do not use strong cleaning agents such as methylated spirits or thinners etc. to clean your Desk
Magnier. If necessary, clean your Desk Magnier using a soft, dry cloth.
Disposal
Dispose of the packaging segregated by material and in an environmentally friendly
manner in the containers provided for that purpose. Batteries may not be disposed of
with your household waste. Consumers are required by law to return batteries after
use to council recycling points or retailers selling batteries. For that reason, batteries
carry the symbol on the right.
Correct disposal of this product:
The symbol on the right indicates that electrical equipment in the EU may not be
disposed of with your normal household waste. Please use your local return and
collection systems, or contact the dealer from whom you bought the product. This will
prevent possibly harmful eects on the environment and health through inappropriate
disposal. Your local council oces can give you information.
Note:
• Please avoid to use the magni er in the high static environment, if the LED is turned off by
high static, please re-turn on.
