INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing a Magnavox computer monitor. We believe it will
provide you with years of trouble-free performance providing it is installed and
maintained according to the guidelines listed in this manual. Please read the
rest of the manual before you attempt to connect and operate your new monitor.
Your Magnavox monitor is engineered and constructed to work well with a
variety of home and personal computer products. In general, your new monitor
will function properly with any computer which generates a composite video
signal. In addition, your monitor is equipped with an audio input and speaker to
provide sound reproduction for those computers which also generate an audio
signal.
Connecting cables for most popular computers are packed with your monitor,
and cables for other computer products are available from Magnavox through
your dealer, or from your computer's manufacturer.
Before going further, take a moment to record your new monitor model and
serial number in the spaces provided below.

The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within

is intended to alert the user of the presence of impor-
tant operating and maintenance (servicing) instruc-
tions in the literature accompanying the appliance.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
A. 06 not place objects on top of the monitor cabinet which could fall into vents
or which could cover them and prevent proper cooling of the monitor's
electronics.
B. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, never expose the monitor to rain
or excessive moisture.
C. Do not place your monitor where sunlight or bright room light will fall
directly on the screen.
D. When necessary clean the cabinet with a damp cloth. Use only mild deter-
gents. Do not use alcohol or ammonia based products.
E. Unplug the AC cord from the outlet if the monitor is not to be used for an
extended period of time.
User Maintenance Caution
There are no user serviceable parts inside the monitor's cabinet. Do not attempt
to remove the cabinet back, as you will be exposed to a shock hazard.
CAUTION:
This monitor generates and uses radio frequency energy and if not installed and
used properly, that is, in strict accordance with the manufacturer's instructions,
may cause interference to radio and television reception. It has been type tested
and found to comply with the limits for a Class B computing device in accordance
with the specifications in Subpart J of Part 15 of FCC Rules, which are designed
to provide reasonable protection against such interference in a residential
installation. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a
particular installation. If it does cause interference to radio or television recep-
tion, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is
encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following
measures:

reorient the receiving antenna
... relocate the computer with respect to the receiver
... move the computer away from the receiver
... plug the computer into a different outlet so that computer and receiver are
on different branch circuits.
If necessary, the user should consult the dealer or an experienced radio/televi-
sion technician for additional suggestions. The user may find the following
booklet prepared by the Federal Communications Commission helpful: "How to
Identify and Resolve Radio-TV Interference Problems". This booklet is available
from the US Government Printing Office, Washington, D.C., 20402, Stock No.
004-000-00345-4.
Use only RF shielded cables when connecting this monitor to a computer device.

Computer Monitor
Thank you for selecting a Magnavox computer monitor. Carefully read the
Owner's Manual furnished with this product. We believe you will be very
satisfied with your purchase and provide the following limited warranty to you,
as
the original purchaser.
MAGNAVOX RESPONSIBILITY
SERVICE LABOR & PARTS -For the first 12 months from date of purchase, a
Magnavox Authorized Service Center will repair any product defect and replace
any defective parts without charge to you for parts or labor.
REPLACEMENT PARTS -An Authorized Service Center will supply a newor
at our option, remanufactured part for any part found defective, without charge
to you during the warranty period. Replacement parts are warranted only for the
balance of the original warranty period.
WARRANTY COVERAGE - This warranty extends only to those products
purchased and used in the fifty United States. It does not apply to products used
in commercial applications and covers defects in workmanship and materials
only. It does not cover installation, adjustment of customer controls identified
in the Owner's Manual, damage resulting from misuse or abuse, and all other
failures not attributable to manufacturing defects.
OWNER RESPONSIBILITY
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS - Carefully read the Owner's Manual so that
you will understand the operation of your monitor and how to adjust the custom-
er controls.
POWER -Be sure that your monitor is plugged into a POWERED electrical
outlet.
CARRY-IN SERVICE - The set must be taken to a Magnavox Authorized
Service Center for warranty service and must be picked up by the owner follow-
ing notice of repair.
HOW TO GET WARRANTY SERVICE -For warranty service, contact your
dealer. If your dealer does not operate an Authorized Service Center, he will
direct you to one engaged by him to service the product he sells.
If
you are unable to locate an Authorized Service Center, or if you move to
another city, contact the nearest Magnavox Consumer Affairs Office identified
on the reverse side of this page.

CONSUMER AFFAIRS
All dealers offer repair service through their own service department or through
one or more nearby NAPCEC Authorized Service Centers. Although it is
expected that needed repair service will be furnished by the Dealer service
organization, situations which he may not resolve to the owner satisfaction
should be reported to the nearest NAPCEC Area Service Office for investigation
and follow-up.
