Installingor removing battery cartridge
*Always switchoff the tool before insertion or removalof the battery cartridge
*To removethe battery cartridge, withdraw
it from the tool while pressingthe buttons
on both sides of the cartridge.
*To insert the battery cartridge, align the
tongue on the battery cartridge with the
groove inthe housingand slip it into place.
Always insert it all the way until it locks in
place with
a
little click.
If
not, it may acci-
dentally fall out of the tool, causing injury
toyou or someone aroundyou.
*Do
not useforce when inserting the batterycartridge.
If the cartridgedoes not slide in easily,
it
is not being insertedcorrectly.
Charging
Plug the fast charger into your power
source. Insert the battery cartridge
so
that
the plus and minusterminals on the battery
cartridge are on the same sides as their
respective markingson the fast charger.
Insert the cartridge fully into the port
so
that
it
resetson the chargerport floor.
The charging light will come on and charg-
ing will begin. If the charging light goes out
soon, removethe battery cartridgefrom the
chargerand let it cool off for morethan one
minute,Then re-insert
it
andtry to chargeitonce more. If the charginglight goes out with-
in one minute even after repeating this procedure
a
couple of times, the battery cartridge
is dead. Replace
it
with
a
newone.
When the charginglight goes out after about one hour,you may removethe fully charged
battery cartridge.
After charging,unplugthe chargerfrom the power source.
CAUTION:
*Your newbattery cartridge is not charged.You will needto charge it before use.
*If
you try to charge
a
cartridgefrom
a
just-operatedtool, sometimesthe charginglight will
not come on. If this occurs, let the cartridge cool off for
a
while. Then re-insert it and try
to charge
it
once more.
*When you chargea newbattery cartridge or a battery cartridge which has not been used
for
a
long period, it may not accept a full charge.This is
a
normalcondition and does not
indicate
a
problem. You can recharge the battery cartridgefully after discharging
it
almost
completely
a
coupleof times.
*If
you wish to chargetwo battery cartridges, allow
15
minutes betweenchargingson the
fast charger.
