CAREFULLY, YOU FIND DETAILED DESCRIPTION ABOUT HOW TO REMOVE
YOUR DEVICES FROM THE APP BELOW!
ATTENTION! The life span of the battery depends on you as well! Please
use the camera correctly as described in this manual. If you intend to use
the solar panel eciently for recharging the battery, install the camera
in a sunny place where sucient sunlight is provided for charging the
battery every day. Adjust the solar panel’s vertical angle correctly (ideal
is app. 45 degrees), horizontally it should face towards the midday sun.
Please pay attention to place your camera in a non-shaded place with
sucient sunshine provided for the solar panel operating eciently.
If you prefer to charge the camera battery by grid power with the USB
cable, please care about charging your camera when the battery level
runs low.
If you intend to turn o your camera, and you do not want to use it for a
while, please make sure that the battery has sucient charge, and it is
not totally discharged. If you would like to store the camera instead of
using it, please turn o the camera with the ON/OFF button. In case of
a longer storage, please turn on the camera once every month, and full-
charge the battery. It may decrease the life span of the battery if the
camera is stored for a longer period with a totally discharged battery,
moreover it can damage the battery!

Camera structure:
ATTENTION! Both Ammolite, and Iolite camera series are produced with
2 type of housing depending on market (HF-S4, HF-S5). Images below
show the structure of the Iolite cameras with the 2 housing types. In
case of Ammolite the dierence is that the solar panel is not integrated,
but supplied as a separate item, and can be connected to the camera by
a cable with a plug.

First use - Start-up of the camera:
1. Remove the bottom cover of the camera by removing the screws with
the screwdriver.
2. Insert the Micro-SD card correctly in the slot (ATTENTION! The Micro-SD
card is not the part of the package! The camera supports Micro-SD cards
up to 128 GB storage space)
3. Press the ON/OFF button for 2-3 seconds.
4. Red indicator light shows that the operation has been executed
successfully.

Battery charging:
ATTENTION! Full-charge the battery before rst use by grid power using
the supplied USB cable! Full-charge will require 10-18 hours! The green
indicator light shows that the battery is charging.
Restoring factory settings:
In case your camera does not connect to your smartphone or tablet, or
you would like to connect it to a new router, restoring the factory settings
can be a quick solution.
1. If you see the blue indicator light ashing, please turn OFF, and turn
ON the camera.
2. Right after, keep pressing the RESET button (for app. 5 seconds) until you
hear a sound which means that the factory settings have been restored.
Following a successful operation, the red indicator light shines again.

Downloading the application:
Search for Tuya Smart app in App Store or Google Play. Download it to your
device, and install the application on your device.
Pair your device:
Before downloading and installing the application please check whether
your smartphone or tablet is connected to your Wi-Fi system.
1. Open “Tuya Smart ” App Register and tap +
2. Tap Video Surveillance then Smart Camera
3. Tap on “next step”
4. Select your router, enter your password then tap “Conrm”
ATTENTION! Only 2.4 GHz is supported in case of routers!

5. Place the screen of your smartphone or tablet at a 10-20 cm distance
right in front of the camera lens to let your camera recognize the code.
Do not move or shake the devices during the process.
6. The camera beeps when the pairing is done. Then tap “I Heard a
Prompt ”, and wait for nishing the pairing process.
If you do not hear a beep:
1. Please check whether you typed the password for your router correctly.
2. Is your router set for 2.4 GHz? E.g. at 5 GHz the camera cannot connect
to your device.
3. Is the camera correctly connected with its antenna?
4. If the above are checked, and set up correctly, please apply the work
steps written in chapter “Restoring factory settings” above, and try
again.

How to remove the device?
Solution 1: Tap Device then Setting then Remove Device
If you intend to change your smartphone or tablet, please do not forget to
remove the camera on your old phone or tablet like written above. If you
forgot to do it, please choose Solution 2.
Solution 2:
Tap Me/FAQ&Feedback/Report Issue. Fill the form, before you send
the form, make a screenshot on your phone or tablet. Right after that,
send the request by tapping Submit. Please send the screenshot to
service@malatechsolar.com, and we will remove the device.

FAQ, problems & solutions:
The device does not connect to Wi-Fi
1. Please make sure that the Wi-Fi is set to 2.4 GHz.
2. Make sure that the device is close to the Wi-Fi when you turn it on.
3. Make sure that you typed in your password correctly.
4. The user name and password for the Wi-Fi should not contain special
characters.
5. Check your device whether it is in Boot Network status.
My smartphone does not receive the alarms
Please check whether “Push Notications” is allowed on your phone, if not
enable it.

Camera installation:
Please only install your camera at its nal location after you charged the
battery completely, and you paired the device with your smartphone or
tablet!
1. Use the mounting template to sign the locations of the holes on the
chosen surface.
2. Drill the holes.
3. Push the anchors in the holes.
4. Position the camera correctly, then x it by driving the screws in with
the screwdriver.
5. Set up the preferred angle like shown below.

1. After receiving your camera, please open the camera’s box gently with
paying attention not to cause harm to the camera and its parts.
2. Before starting to use your camera, please make sure that there are no
visible damages on the camera and its parts.
3. If you observe breaking, crack, fracture on the camera or on its parts,
please do not use the product, but contact us for replacement.
4. Please do not apply strong physical force on the product that can
damage the camera or its parts. Non-ordinary use of the product results
the loss of product warranty.
5. Please keep the box, the packaging material, and the content out of the
reach of children, and pets. There are small objects among the parts
of the camera, which children or pets can ingest, or can cause harm to
themselves with.
6. Please do not disassemble the camera, do not bend the camera, or
apply physical stress on the camera. Please follow the user manual’s
instructions for installation, and operation.
7. Do not expose the camera to higher heat than natural caused by
weather changes. Excessive heat may damage more constituents of the
camera.
8. Do not expose the camera to continuous high- or low-pressure water
ow, even if you intend to clean your camera. The IP65 protection does
not mean you can put the camera in water, or you can wash the camera
with continuous water stream. The next chapter declares the right
method of cleaning.
9. Please always contact Malatech Water, Ltd, or a professional appointed
by our company if you intend to disassemble the camera, remove any
of its parts, or service the camera. Service attempts made by users are
prohibited, and result the loss of product warranty.
