1 INTRODUCTION CM11-SERIAL
The Marmitek CM11-serial can be used to connect the Marmitek ActiveHome and the CM11
computer interface to the serial port of your PC.
1.1 INSTALLATION OF THE SERIAL CABLE
This cable has an RJ-10 4P4C connector on one side and a 9-pin ‘D’ connector on the other.
The 9-pin ‘D’ connector is connected to a free 9-pin serial COMM port on your PC.
Remember the port number of your PC. You will need this to install ActiveHome.
1.2 INSTALLING ACTIVEHOME
You have to reinstall ActiveHome after you installing the CM11-SERIAL (your configuration
files will not be changed).
1. Install ActiveHome from the ActiveHome CD included. You can download the most
recent version of the software from: www.marmitek.com > customer service
2. When the window "CAUTION COMMUNICATION PORT" opens, select YES (Figure 1).
3. Click Next.
4. Select the COM port the CM11-serial is installed on (Figure 2: COM1, 2, 3 of 4).
5. Follow the instructions on your screen to complete the installation.

2 INTRODUCTION CM11-USB
The Marmitek CM11-USB allows you to use Marmitek ActiveHome and the CM11 computer
interface via the USB port of your PC! The Marmitek CM11-USB supports all the functions of
the ActiveHome software.
2.1 INSTALLING THE
CM11-USB CABLE
Warning: Install the software before
you connect the CM11-USB to your PC!
1. Install the CM11-USB software. Use the
file "Setup.exe". You can download the
most recent version of the software
from: www.marmitek.com > customer
service
2. Follow the instructions on your screen.
3. After installing the software, connect
the CM11-USB cable to the PC. Your
PC will automatically recognise the
CM11-USB cable ("Prolific USB-to-Serial
COMM port").
4. You should now check which settings
were selected for the CM11-USB cable:
a. Right click "My Computer" on your
desktop and select Properties.
b. Select the Hardware tab.
c. Select Device Manager.
d. Open the folder "Ports COM & LPT"
(see Figure 3). "Prolific USB-to-Serial COMM port" will be shown in the list of devices.
e. In this window you can see (between brackets) what COMM port the CM11-USB is
installed at. (COM1, COM2, COM3 or COM4). See "Changing the COM port setting"
if there a different port is indicated, other than COM1, COM2, COM3 or COM4.
f. Write down the setting. You need this information to install ActiveHome.
If you can’t find the "My computer" icon on your desktop, you can find this menu via
Start> Control Panel > System.
2.2 INSTALLING ACTIVEHOME
You have to reinstall ActiveHome after you installing the CM11-USB (your configuration files

3 CHANGING THE COM PORT SETTING
If the CM11-USB has been installed on a different COM port
than COM1, 2, 3 of 4, you need to change the setting:
a. Right click "My Computer" on your desktop and select
Properties.
b. Select the Hardware tab.
c. Select Device Manager.
d. Open the folder "Ports COM & LPT". "Prolific USB-to-
Serial COMM port" will be shown in the list of devices
(Figure 3).
e. Select Profilic USB-to-Serial COMM port en then
Properties.
f. Select the Port Settings tab (Figure 4).
g. Click Advanced.
h. In the windows Advanced, use the
option box COM port number to
choose a different COM port (Figure 5).
Select a COM port that is not used in
the list "Ports COM & LPT" (Figure 3).
In some versions of Windows (98, ME) it is
not possible to change the COM port num-
ber in the Advanced window. If this is the
case, remove the other applications that use the COM3 or COM4 port from your system and
then install CM11-USB. CM11-USB will automatically choose COM3 or COM4. You can rein-
stall your own applications after installing CM11-USB.

1 EINFÜHRUNG CM11-SERIELL
Mit dem Marmitek CM11-Seriell können Sie Marmitek ActiveHome und das CM11
Computerinterface auf dem seriiellen Port Ihres PC betreiben.
1.1 ANBRINGUNG DES SERIELLEN KABELS
Dieses Kabel hat an einer Seite einen RJ-10 4P4C Anschluss und an der anderen Seite einen 9-poli-
gen "D" Anschluss. Schließen Sie den RJ-10 4P4C Anschluss an das CM11-Seriell an. Den 9-Pins
"D" Anschluss schießen Sie an einen freien, 9-Pins, seriellen COMM Port Ihres PC an. Merken Sie
sich die Portnummer Ihres PC. Diese benötigen Sie für die Installation von ActiveHome.
1.2 INSTALLATION DER ACTIVEHOME
Sie müssen ActiveHome (erneut) installieren nachdem Sie den CM11-seriell installiert haben
(Ihre Hardwaredateien bleiben erhalten).
1. Installieren Sie ActiveHome von der mitgelieferten ActiveHome CD. Die aktuellste
Softwareversion können Sie von ww.marmitek.com > Kundendienst downloaden.
2. Beim Auswahldisplay "CAUTION COMMUNICATION PORT" wählen Sie YES (Abbildung 1)
3. Klick auf Next

Wählen Sie nun die COM Port worauf der CM11-seriell installiert ist. (Abbildung 2: COM1, 2, 3 oder 4).
5. Folgen Sie den Anweisungen auf Ihrem Schirm um die Installation zu vollenden.

2 EINFÜHRUNG CM11-USB
Mit dem Marmitek CM11-USB lassen Sie Marmitek ActiveHome und die CM11
Computerschnittstelle über den USB Anschluss Ihres Pc laufen! Der Marmitek CM11-USB
unterstützt alle Funktionen der ActiveHome Software.
2.1 INSTALLATION DES
CM11-USB KABEL
Achtung: Installieren Sie zuerst die
Software, bevor Sie den CM11-USB an
Ihren Pc anschließen!
1. Installieren Sie die CM11-USB Software.
Starten Sie hierzu die Datei
"Setup.exe". Die aktuellste
Softwareversion können Sie von
ww.marmitek.com > Kundendienst
downloaden.
2. Folgen Sie den Anleitungen auf dem
Schirm.
3. Nach Installation der Software stöpseln
Sie das CM11-USB Kabel in Ihren Pc. Ihr
Pc erkennt nun automatisch das CM11-
USB Kabel ("Prolific USB-to-Serial
COMM port").

Nun müssen Sie überprüfen, welche
Einstellungen das CM11-USB Kabel
bekommen hat:
a. Klicken Sie mit der rechten Maustaste
auf "Arbeitsplatz" (My Computer) auf
dem Desktop und wählen Sie Eigenschaften (Properties).
b. Klicken Sie auf oben stehendes Feld Hardware.
c. Wählen Sie Geräte-manager (Device Manager).
d. Öffnen Sie den Ordner "Anschlüsse COM UND LPT" (Ports COM UND LPT) (siehe
Abbildung 3) In dieser Reihe steht auch "Prolific USB-to-Serial COMM port" .
e. Hier wird zwischen Klammern angegeben auf welcher COMM Port der CM11-USB instal-
liert ist (COM1, COM2, COM3 oder COM4). Siehe "Ändern der COM Port Einstellung"
wenn hier eine andere COM Port als COM1, COM2, COM3 oder COM4 vermeldet steht.
f. Merken Sie sich die Einstellung. Sie brauchen diese noch während der Installation von
ActiveHome.
Sollten Sie das Symbol "Arbeitsplatz" nicht finden können, so können Sie dasselbe
Menü aufrufen über Start > Systemsteuerung > Hardware (Bedienungsfeld) >
Systeem (Start> Control Panel > System)

3 ÄNDERN DER COM PORT (GERÄTEANSCHLUSS)
EINSTELLUNG
Wenn der CM11-USB eine andere COM Port Einstellung als
COM1, 2, 3 oder 4 gewählt hat, so müssen Sie diese ändern:
a. Klicken Sie mit der rechten Maustaste auf "Arbeitsplatz"
(My Computer) auf dem Desktop und wählen Sie
Eigenschaften (Properties).
b. Klicken Sie auf oben stehendes Feld Hardware
(Hardware)
c. Wählen Sie Geräte-manager (Device Manager)
d. Öffnen Sie den Ordner "Anschlüsse COM UND LPT"
(Ports COM UND LPT). In dieser Reihe finden Sie auch
"Prolific USB-to-Serial COMM port" (Abbildung 3)
e. Wählen Sie Profilic USB-to-Serial COMM port und dar-
aufhin Eigenschaften (Properties)
f. Wählen Sie das Feld

h. Im Schirm erweiterte Einstellungen kön-
nen Sie über das Feld COM-
Anschlussnumer (COM port number)
eine andere COM-Port wählen
(Abbildung 5). Wählen Sie eine COM
Port, die nicht in der Reihe "Ports COM
UND LPT" vorkommt (Abbildung 3).
In manchen Windowsversionen (98, ME) können Sie die COM-Portnummer nicht im Schirm
"erweiterte" ändern. In diesem Fall müssen Sie andere Anwendungen, die von COM3 oder
COM4 Ihres Systems Gebrauch machen löschen und danach den CM11-USB installieren.
CM11-USB nimmt dann automatisch COM3 oder COM4 an. Nach Installation der CM11-USB
können Sie Ihre eigene Anwendung erneut installieren.

1 INTRODUCTION CM11 SÉRIEL
Le Marmitek CM11 sériel vous permet de faire fonctionner le Marmitek ActiveHome et l'inter-
face ordinateur CM11 sur le port sériel de votre PC.
1.1 INSTALLATION DU CÂBLE SÉRIEL
Ce câble est pourvu d'un côté d'un connecteur RJ-10 4P4C et de l'autre côté d'un connecteur
"D" à 9 broches. Raccordez le connecteur RJ-10 4P4C au CM11 sériel. Raccordez le connec-
teur "D" à 9 broches à un port COMM à 9 broches encore libre sur votre ordinateur. Retenez
le numéro de port de votre PC. Vous en aurez besoin lors de l'installation de ActiveHome.
1.2 INSTALLATION D’ACTIVEHOME
Vous devez (ré)installer ActiveHome après avoir installé le CM11-sériel (vos fichiers de configu-
ration seront conservés).
1. Installez ActiveHome à partir du CD ActiveHome fourni. La version la plus récente du
logiciel est téléchargeable sur www.marmitek.com > customer service
2. Sur l’écran "CAUTION COMMUNICATION PORT", sélectionnez YES (illustration 1)
3. Cliquez sur Next
4. Sélectionnez ensuite le port COM sur lequel le CM11-sériel a été installé (illustration 2:
COM1, 2, 3 ou 4).
5. Suivez les instructions sur votre écran afin de compléter l’installation.

2 INTRODUCTION CM11-USB
Le Marmitek CM11-USB vous permet de faire fonctionner Marmitek ActiveHome et la CM11
interfacePC sur le port USB de votre ordinateur PC ! Le Marmitek CM11-USB supporte l’inté-
gralité des fonctions du logiciel ActiveHome.
2.1 INSTALLATION DU CM11-USB CÂBLE
Avertissement: Installez tout d’abord le
logiciel, avant de connecter le CM11-USB
à votre ordinateur PC.
1. Installez le logiciel CM11-USB. Démarrez
pour cela le fichier " Setup.exe ". La ver-
sion la plus récente du logiciel est téléchar-
geable sur www.marmitek.com > customer
service.
2. Suivez les instructions sur l’écran
3. Après l’installation du logiciel, entrez le
câble CM11-USB dans votre ordinateur PC.
À présent, votre PC reconnaît automati-
quement le câble CM11-USB. ("Prolific
USB-to-Serial COMM port").
4. A présent, vous devez vérifier les configu-
rations que le câble CM11-USB a obte-
nues:
a. Cliquez avec le bouton droit de la souris
sur "Poste de travail" (My computer)
sur l’affichage bureau et sélectionnez
"Propriétés".
b. Sélectionnez l’onglet "Matériel".
c. Sélectionnez "Gestionnaire de périphériques".
d. Ouvrez le dossier "Ports (COM et LPT) (voir illustration 3) Dans la série alors mention-
née, vous trouverez "Prolific USB-to-serial COMM port".
e. Entre parenthèses est indiqué le port COM sur lequel le CM11-USB a été installé
(COM1, COM2, COM3 ou COM4). Voir "Modifier la configuration du port COM, lors-
qu’un port Com autre que COM1, COM2, COM3 ou COM4 est mentionné.
f. Retenez la configuration. Vous en aurez besoin lors de l’installation d’ActiveHome.
Si vous n’arrivez pas à trouver l’icône "Poste de travail", vous pouvez trouver le menu recherché
en cliquant sur Démarrer> Panneau de configuration> Performances et maintenance> Système

3 MODIFIER LA CONFIGURATION DU PORT COM
Si le CM11-USB a sélectionné une configuration de port
COM autre que COM1, 2, 3, ou 4, vous devez modifier cela:
a. Cliquez avec le bouton droit de la souris sur "Poste de
travail" (My Computer) sur l’affichage bureau et sélec-
tionnez "Propriétés".
b. Sélectionnez l’onglet "Matériel"
c. Sélectionnez "Gestionnaire de périphériques"
d. Ouvrez le dossier "Ports (COM et LPT)" Dans la série
alors mentionnée, vous trouverez "Prolific USB-to-serial
COMM port" (illustration 3)
e. Sélectionnez "Prolific USB-to-serial COMM port"et ensui-
te "Propriétés"
f. Sélectionnez l’onglet "Paramètres du port" (illustration 4)
g. Cliquez sur "Avancé"
h. Dans la fenêtre "Paramètres avancés",
vous pouvez sélectionner un autre port
COM au moyen de la case de sélection
"numéro de port COM" (illustration 5).
Sélectionnez un port COM qui ne figure
pas dans la série "Ports (COM & LPT)"
(illustration 3).
Certaines versions de Windows ne permet-
tent pas la modification du numéro de port COM dans la fenêtre "Avancé". Dans ce cas,
vous devez supprimer de votre système d’autres applications utilisant COM3 ou COM4, et ins-
taller ensuite CM11-USB. CM-USB s’installe alors automatiquement sur COM3 ou COM4.
Après l’installation de CM-USB, vous pouvez réinstaller votre propre application.

1 CM11 SERIE: INTRODUCCIÓN
Con el CM11 Serie de Marmitek podrá ejecutar Marmitek ActiveHome y la interfaz informáti-
ca CM11 a través del puerto serie de su PC.
1.1 INSTALACIÓN DEL CABLE SERIE
Este cable presenta en un extremo un conector RJ-10 4P4C y un conector "D" de 9 pines en
el otro extremo. Conecte el conector RJ-10 4P4C al CM-11. Conecte el conector "D" de 9
pines a uno de los puertos serie COMM de 9 pines libres de su PC. Recuerde el número de

Deberá (re)instalar ActiveHome una vez instalado el CM11-Serie (se conservarán sus archivos

más reciente del software en www.marmitek.com > customer service.

En la pantalla de selección "CAUTION COMMUNICATION PORT" deberá seleccionar YES (figura 1)
3. Haga ‘clic’ en Next
4. Seleccione ahora el puerto COM en el que se ha instalado el CM11 Serie. (figura 2:
COM1, 2, 3 ó 4).
5. Siga las instrucciones que aparecen en pantalla para completar la instalación.

2 CM11 USB: INTRODUCCIÓN
Con el CM11 USB de Marmitek podrá ejecutar Marmitek ActiveHome y la interfaz informática
CM11 a través del puerto serie de su PC. Marmitek CM11-USB soporta todas las funciones
del software ActiveHome.
2.1 INSTALACIÓN DEL CABLE
CM11-USB
Advertencia: ¡Instale el software antes
de conectar el CM11-USB a su PC!
1. Instale el software CM11-USB. Para ello,
ejecute el archivo "Setup.exe".
(Puede descargarse la versión más reciente
del software en www.marmitek.com >
customer service).
2. Siga las instrucciones que aparecen en
pantalla.
3. Tras la instalación del software, conecte el
cable CM11-USB a su PC. Su PC reconoce-
rá automáticamente el cable CM11-USB
("Prolific USB-to-Serial COMM port").
4. Deberá comprobar la configuración del
cable CM11-USB:
a. Haga ‘clic’ con el botón derecho del
ratón sobre "Mi PC" en el escritorio y
seleccione Propiedades.
b. Seleccione la pestaña Hardware.
c. Seleccione Administrador de Dispositivos.
d. Abra la carpeta "Puertos COM & LPT" (véase la figura 3).
e. En el listado encontrará "Prolific USB-to-Serial COMM port". Entre paréntesis se indi-
cará en qué puerto COMM se ha instalado el CM11-USB (COM1, COM2, COM3 o
COM4). Véase "modificar la configuración del puerto COM" si se indica otro puerto
COM distinto de COM1, COM2, COM3 o COM4.
f. Recuerde la configuración. Lo necesitará durante la instalación de ActiveHome.
Si no pudiera encontrar el icono "Mi PC", puede acceder a esta opción pulsando
Inicio > Configuración > Panel de Control > Sistema
2.2 INSTALACIÓN DE ACTIVEHOME

3 MODIFICAR LA CONFIGURACIÓN DEL PUERTO COM
Si se ha elegido otra configuración de puerto COM para el
CM11-USB diferente de COM 1, 2, 3 ó 4, deberá modificarla:
a. Haga ‘clic’ con el botón derecho del ratón sobre "Mi
PC" en el escritorio y seleccione Propiedades.
b. Seleccione la pestaña Hardware.
c. Seleccione Administrador de Dispositivos.
d.
Abra la carpeta "Puertos COM & LPT". En el listado
encontrará "Prolific USB-to-Serial COMM port" (figura 3).
e. Seleccione Profilic USB-to-Serial COMM port y elija
Propiedades.
f. Seleccione la pestaña de Configuración del puerto
(figura 4).
g. Haga ‘clic’ en Opciones avanzadas.
h. En la pantalla de ‘Opciones avanzadas’
podrá seleccionar otro puerto COM con
la casilla de selección de número de
puerto COM (figura 5). Seleccione un
puerto COM que no aparezca en el lis-
tado "Puertos COM & LPT" (figura 3).
En determinadas versiones de Windows (98,
ME) no se puede modificar el número de
puerto COM en la pantalla de opciones
avanzadas. En este caso, deberá eliminar
otras aplicaciones que utilicen los puertos COM3 o COM4 de su sistema e instalar a continua-
ción el CM11-USB. El CM11-USB utilizará automáticamente el puerto COM3 o COM4. Tras
instalar el CM11-USB deberá proceder a instalar de nuevo sus demás aplicaciones.

1 INTRODUZIONE CM11 SERIALE
Con il CM11-seriale Marmitek lasciate lavorare ActiveHome Marmitek e l’interfaccia per com-
puter CM11 sulla presa seriale del vostro PC.
1.1 INSTALLAZIONE DEL CAVO SERIALE
Questo cavo possiede ad un’estremità un connettore RJ-10 4P4C e sull’altro lato un connettore
"D" a 9 piedini. Collegare il connettore RJ-10 4P4C al CM-11. Il connettore "D" a 9 piedini va col-
legato ad una presa COMM seriale a 9 piedini libera, presente sul PC. Annotare il numero della
presa del PC utilizzata. Questo numero è indispensabile durante l’installazione dell’ActiveHome.
1.2 INSTALLAZIONE DI ACTIVEHOME
L’ActiveHome va (di nuovo) installato dopo l’installazione del CM11-seriale (i file di configura-
zione vengono conservati).
1. Installare ActiveHome dal CD ActiveHome fornito con il prodotto. È possibile scaricare la
versione più recente del software dal sito www.marmitek.com > customer service.
2. Nello schermo di selezione "ATTENZIONE PORTALE DI COMUNICAZIONE", selezionare Sì
(immagine 1)
3. Cliccare Next [seguente]
4. Selezionare a questo punto il portale COM su cui è installato il CM11 seriale.
(immagine 2: COM1, 2, 3 o 4).
5. Seguire le indicazioni sullo schermo, per completare l’installazione.

2 INTRODUZIONE CM11-USB
Con il CM11-USB Marmitek lasciate lavorare ActiveHome Marmitek e l’interfaccia per compu-
ter CM11 sulla presa USB del vostro PC! Il CM11-USB Marmitek supporta tutte le funzioni del
software ActiveHome.
2.1 INSTALLAZIONE DEL CAVO CM11-USB
Avvertenza: installare il software prima di
collegare il CM11-USB al PC!
1. Installare il software CM11-USB. A tal
scopo, avviare il file "Setup.exe"
(è possibile scaricare la versione più recente
del software dal sito
www.marmitek.com > customer service).
2. Seguire le istruzioni riportate sullo schermo.
3. Dopo l’installazione del software, inserire il
cavo CM11-USB nel PC. Il PC riconosce ora
automaticamente il cavo CM11-USB
("Prolific USB-to-Serial COMM port").

A questo punto, occorre controllare le imposta-
zioni assegnate al cavo CM11-USB
:
a. Cliccare con il tasto destro del mouse su
"Questo computer" (My Computer) sul
desktop e selezionare Caratteristiche
(Properties).
b.
Selezionare la tabella Hardware.
c. Selezionare Controllo del Sistema (Device
Manager).
d. Aprire il menu "Portali COM & LPT" (Ports COM & LPT) (vd. immagine 3).
e. Nell’elenco si trova "Prolific USB-to-Serial COMM port". Qui è segnalato tra parentesi
su quale portale COMM è installato il CM11-USB (COM1, COM2, COM3 o COM4).
Qualora sia indicato un portale COM diverso da COM1, COM2, COM3 o COM4, con-
sultare "modifiche d’impostazione del portale COM".
f. Annotare l’impostazione. Questo dato sarà indispensabile durante l’installazione di
ActiveHome.
Nel caso in cui non si riesca a visualizzare l'icona "Questo computer", si può arrivare
allo stesso menu partendo da Start > Impostazioni > Pannello di Controllo > Sistema
(Start> Control Panel > System)
2.2 INSTALLAZIONE DI ACTIVEHOME
L’ActiveHome va (di nuovo) installato dopo l’installazione del CM11-USB (i file di configurazio-
ne vengono conservati).
1. Installare ActiveHome dal CD ActiveHome fornito con il prodotto. È possibile scaricare la
versione più recente del software dal sito www.marmitek.com > customer service.

3 MODIFICHE D’IMPOSTAZIONE DEL PORTALE COM
Nel caso in cui il CM11-USB abbia selezionato un portale
COM diverso da COM 1, 2, 3 o 4, è necessario modificare la
selezione:
a. Cliccare con il tasto destro del mouse su "Questo com-
puter" (My Computer) sul desktop e selezionare
Caratteristiche (Properties).
b. Selezionare la tabella Hardware (Hardware).
c. Selezionare Controllo del Sistema (Device Manager).
d. Aprire il menu "Portali COM & LPT" (Ports COM & LPT).
Nell’elenco si trova "Prolific USB-to-Serial COMM port"
(immagine 3).
e. Selezionare Profilic USB-to-Serial COMM port e
Caratteristiche (Properties).
f. Scegliere la tabella delle impostazioni di
portale

g. Cliccare su Avanzato (Advanced).
h. Nello schermo ‘Impostazioni avanzate’ è
possibile selezionare un altro portale
COM, nel riquadro dedicato al numero
di portale COM (COM port number)

COM non riportato nell’elenco
"Poorten COM & LPT" (immagine 3).
In alcune versioni di Windows (98, ME) non è possibile modificare il numero di portale COM
sullo schermo delle impostazioni avanzate. In tal caso, occorre eliminare dal sistema altre
applicazioni che utilizzano COM3 o COM4, prima di installare il CM11-USB. Il CM11-USB sce-
glie così automaticamente COM3 o COM4. Dopo l’installazione del CM11-USB, è possibile
installare ancora una volta la propria applicazione.
