Warning: before going any further, make
sure that your amp is compatible with your
mains electricity supply. If you have any
doubt, please seek help from a qualied
technician – your Marshall dealer can help
you with this.
MAINS INPUT & FUSE
The specic mains input voltage rating
that your amp has been manufactured for
is indicated on the rear panel of the amp.
Your amp is provided with a detachable
mains (power) lead, which should be
connected to the mains input socket on the
rear panel of the amp. The correct value
and type of mains fuse is specied on the
rear panel of the amp.
Never attempt to bypass the fuse or t one
of the incorrect value or type.
IMPORTANT SET UP INFORMATION
1. When using your amp with one or
more speaker cabinets, make sure
that they are connected to the correct
loudspeaker jack sockets.
Warning: failure to do the above may
damage your amp. When connecting
a speaker cabinet make sure that you
use a proper speaker cable. Never use a
screened (shielded) guitar cable for this
purpose.
2. Ensure that the power switch is set to
the off position and the output switch
is set to standby.
3. Connect the supplied mains (power)
lead into the mains input on the rear
panel rst and then into an electricity
outlet.
4. Ensure that any master, volume and/
or output level controls on the front
panel are set to zero.
5. Plug your guitar into the input jack
socket on the front panel.
6. Turn the front panel power switch on
and wait a couple of minutes.
7. Select between 20W / 5W using the
output switch.
8. Turn the volume up to your preferred
level and you’re ready to play.
TRANSPORTING YOUR EQUIPMENT
Please ensure that your amp is switched
off, unplugged from the mains electricity
supply and all removable cables have been
disconnected from your equipment before
attempting to move it.

The JCM25/50 Silver Jubilee Series was
produced in 1987 to celebrate 25 years
of Marshall Amplication and 50 years of
Jim Marshall being in the music business.
Inspired by this acclaimed series, the
2525C and the 2525H combine Silver
Jubilee preamp features and styling in a
lower power design.

OVERVIEW AND SPECIFICATION

1. POWER
This is the on/off switch for the mains
power to the amp. When power is
switched on, the switch will light red.
Warning: please ensure that the amp
is switched off and unplugged from the
mains electricity supply before being
moved.
2. OUTPUT
The output power is in low power mode
(5W) when set to low, when in the middle
position it is set to standby and when set
to high power the unit runs at full power
(20W).
Standby mode: should be used during
breaks in performances, instead of leaving
the amp on full power. Always turn the
power on for two minutes before using the
standby switch.
3. PRESENCE
Adjusts the high frequencies of the power
amp. Increasing the high frequencies adds
more bite to your sound.
4. BASS
Adjusts the low frequencies of the amp.
It will add bottom end and depth to your
sound.
5. MIDDLE
Adjusts the mid frequencies of the amp.
Giving you anything from a fat and full
sound to an aggressive tone.
6. TREBLE
Adjust the upper frequencies of the amp.
Your tone will get brighter as it is turned
up.

FRONT PANEL FUNCTIONS

7. OUTPUT MASTER / LEAD CHANNEL
The output master control adjusts the
output of the preamp section to the power
stage.
The lead channel is selected using the
footswitch (supplied PEDL-90003). The
channel can also be switched by using the
push/pull function of the output master
control. The amount of gain applied to the
lead channel can be controlled using the
input gain control (front panel function
10).
8. LEAD CHANNEL LED
The LED indicator will light and glow red
when the lead channel is selected.
9. LEAD MASTER
When the lead channel is active (front
panel function 7) the lead master control
adjusts the output level of the lead
channel.
10. INPUT GAIN
Adjusts the overall sensitivity of the input
circuit. It controls the gain level of the
clean/crunch rhythm clip mode and the
lead channel. The pull switch activates
rhythm clip mode, providing heavier, more
driven tones.
Note: the apparent drop in volume when
rhythm clip mode is selected may be
overcome by increasing the level of the
output master (front panel function 7).
11. INPUT
Use this jack socket to connect your guitar
to the amp.

1. LOUDSPEAKERS
There are ve speaker outputs available.
These are 1/4” jack sockets. They are
labelled according to the intended
impedances:
• 16Ω: connect a 16 Ohm guitar cabinet
to this jack.
• 8Ω: connect a single 8 Ohm guitar
cabinet or two 16 Ohm cabinets.
• 4Ω: connect a single 4 Ohm guitar
cabinet or two 8 Ohm guitar cabinets.
Warning: although the amplier has
ve speaker outputs, never attempt to
connect more speakers than rated. The
safe combinations are: 1 x 16 Ohm, 1 x 8
Ohm, 1 x 4 Ohm, 2 x16 Ohm or 2 x 8 Ohm.
Any other speaker conguration may
stress the power amplier section and in
extreme cases may lead to valve and/or
output transformer failure.
Never use the 2525 without a speaker
load.
2. DI OUTPUT
A DI output allows you to connect to
recording device or sound desk.
Note: using the DI does not omit the need
for a speaker to be connected. See the
warning on rear panel function 1.
3. FOOTSWITCH
Connect the channel footswitch here
(PEDL-90003, supplied).
4. FX LOOP
The series FX loop connects the amp to
external FX (nominal level -10dBV). The
send jack socket connects to the input
of the external FX unit and the return
jack socket connects to the output of the
external FX unit.
Note: the send jack socket can be used
to connect to an external power amp. This
does not omit the need for a speaker to be
connected to the amplier’s output stage.
See the warning on rear panel function 1.
The return can be used to connect an
external preamp.

5. HT FUSE
The panel mounted fuse holder allows
access to replace blown fuses. If necessary
the HT fuse will blow to protect the
internal circuitry. This can sometimes
happen in the event of output valve
failure.
Note: replace the fuse only with the
value shown on the rear panel. Before
attempting to change the fuse you must
always rst switch the amp off and
disconnect it from the mains electricity
supply. If in doubt, contact your Marshall
dealer.
6. MAINS INPUT
Connects the amp to the mains power
supply.
Note: the mains input socket has an
integrated fuse compartment. Ensure
that the value of a replacement fuse
matches the labelling on the amp rear
panel. You must always rst switch off
and disconnect from the mains electricity
supply before attempting to access the
fuse compartment. If in doubt, contact
your Marshall dealer.

INFORMATIONS IMPORTANTES RELATIVES À
L'INSTALLATION :
1. En cas d’utilisation de l’ampli avec un
ou plusieurs caissons haut-parleurs,
s’assurer que les haut-parleurs sont
connectés aux jacks haut-parleurs
corrects.
Averssement : la non-conformité
aux consignes ci-dessus risquerait de
provoquer l’endommagement de votre
ampli. Lors du raccordement d’un caisson
haut-parleur, veiller à utiliser un câble
pour haut-parleur correct. Ne jamais
utiliser à cet effet un câble de guitare
blindé.
2. S’assurer que le commutateur
d’alimentation est réglé sur la position
off, et que le commutateur de veille
(standby) est réglé sur standby.
3. Brancher le câble d’alimentation
fourni à l’entrée secteur sur le
panneau arrière avant de le connecter
à la prise secteur.
Averssement : avant d’aller plus loin,
vérier que votre amplicateur est
compatible avec votre alimentation
électrique. En cas de doute, s’adresser
à un technicien qualié ; votre vendeur
Marshall est en mesure de vous conseiller
à ce sujet.
ENTRÉE SECTEUR ET FUSIBLE :
La tension d’alimentation nominale
précise pour laquelle votre ampli est
conçu est indiquée sur le panneau arrière
de l’ampli. Votre amplicateur est fourni
avec un cordon d’alimentation détachable
à brancher dans la prise secteur sur le
panneau arrière de l’amplicateur.
Ne jamais tenter de dériver le fusible ou
d’installer un fusible dont le type ou la
valeur ne correspondent pas.
4. Vérier que toutes commandes
master, du volume et/ou du niveau
de sortie sur le panneau avant sont
réglées sur zéro.
5. Brancher votre guitare dans l’une des
prises jack d’entrée sur le panneau
avant.
6. Enclencher l’interrupteur
d’alimentation du panneau avant et
patienter deux minutes
7. Choisir entre 20W et 5W au moyen
du commutateur standby.
8. Augmenter le volume sur le niveau
souhaité : l’amplicateur est prêt.
TRANSPORT DE VOTRE ÉQUIPEMENT :
Vérier que votre amplicateur est
éteint et débranché de l’alimentation
secteur et que tous les câbles pouvant
être débranchés ont été déconnectés
de l’équipement avant de déplacer
l’amplicateur.

La série Jubilé d’argent JCM25/50 a été
produite en 1987 pour célébrer les 25
ans des systèmes d’amplication Marshall
et les 50 ans de carrière de Jim Marshall
dans le monde de la musique Inspirés de
cette série tant appréciée, le 2525C et
le 2525H allient les caractéristiques de
préampli et l’esthétique du Jubilé d’argent
dans une version à puissance réduite.

PRÉSENTATION ET SPÉCIFICATIONS

1. ALIMENTATION
Il s’agit de l’interrupteur MARCHE-
ARRÊT pour l’alimentation électrique
de l’amplicateur. Quand l’interrupteur
d’alimentation est activé, il s’allume en
rouge.
Averssement : Toujours s’assurer que
l’amplicateur est éteint et débranché de
la source d’alimentation électrique avant
tout déplacement.
2. SORTIE
La puissance de sortie est en mode
bas régime (5W) quand l’interrupteur
est réglé sur low (bas), en position
intermédiaire il est réglé sur standby
(veille) et en position high (élevé) l’appareil
fonctionne à plein régime (20W).
Mode Standby (Veille) : doit être utilisé
durant les interruptions de jeu, plutôt que
de laisser l’ampli à plein régime. Toujours
laisser allumé pendant au moins deux
minutes avant d’utiliser le commutateur
standby.
3. PRESENCE (PRÉSENCE)
Règle les fréquences hautes de l’ampli
de puissance. En augmentant les hautes
fréquences, on donne plus de mordant au
son.
4. BASS (BASSES)
Règle les fréquences basses de l’ampli.
Ajoute des basses et de la profondeur au
son.
5. MIDDLE (MÉDIUMS)
Règle les fréquences moyennes de l’ampli.
Vous offre la gamme allant d’un son plein
et rond à une tonalité agressive.
6. TREBLE (AIGUËS)
Règle les fréquences hautes de l’ampli.
Votre son gagne en éclat lorsque vous
augmentez les aiguës.

7. OUTPUT MASTER / LEAD CHANNEL
La commande output master règle la
sortie de la section préampli vers l’étage
de sortie.
Le Lead channel est sélectionné via le
footswitch (PEDL-90003 fourni). On
peut aussi sélectionner ce canal grâce à la
fonction poussoir/tirette de la commande
output master. La quantité de gain
appliquée au Lead Channel est contrôlable
via la commande gain d’entrée (Fonctions
panneau avant 10).
8. LED LEAD CHANNEL
Le voyant LED s’allume en rouge lorsque
le Lead Channel est sélectionné.
9. LEAD MASTER
Quand Lead Channel est activé (Fonctions
panneau avant 7) le lead master sert à en
régler le niveau de sortie.
10. INPUT GAIN (GAIN D’ENTRÉE)
Sert à régler la sensibilité globale du
circuit d’entrée. Contrôle le niveau de
gain du mode rhythm clip clean/crunch et
le Lead Channel. L’interrupteur à tirette
déclenche le mode rhythm clip, pour des
sons plus forts et puissants.
Remarque : la perte de volume qui semble
se produire lorsque le mode rhythm
clip est sélectionné est rectiable en
augmentant le volume du output master
(Fonctions panneau avant 7).

11. INPUT (ENTRÉE)
Utiliser cette prise jack pour brancher
votre guitare à l’amplicateur.

1. HAUTS-PARLEURS
Il existe cinq sorties haut-parleurs
disponibles. Il s’agit de prises jack 1/4”.
Elles sont identiées selon les impédances
prévues :
• 16Ω : raccorder une guitare 16 Ohm à
ce jack.
• 8Ω : raccorder un seul caisson de
guitare 8 Ohm ou deux caissons 16
Ohm.
• 4Ω : raccorder un seul caisson de
guitare 4 Ohm ou deux caissons de
guitare 8 Ohm.
Averssement : même si l’amplicateur
possède cinq sorties haut-parleurs,
ne jamais tenter plus de haut-parleurs
que la quantité prescrite. Voici les
combinaisons sécurisées : 1 x 16 Ohm,
1 x 8 Ohm, 1 x 4 Ohm, 2 x16 Ohm ou 2
x 8 Ohm. Toute autre conguration des
haut-parleurs risquerait de placer trop
de contrainte sur la section ampli, et dans
certains cas extrêmes pourrait même
causer une panne de la lampe et/ou du
transformateur de sortie.
Ne jamais utiliser le 2525 sans charge de
haut-parleur.
2. DI OUTPUT (SORTIE DI)
Une sortie DI vous permet de raccorder
un périphérique d’enregistrement ou une
console de mixage.
Remarque : l’utilisation du DI ne dispense
pas de brancher un haut-parleur. Voir
l’avertissement sur la Fonction de panneau
arrière 1.
3. PÉDALIER
Brancher le pédalier de commutation des
canaux ici
(PEDL-90003, fourni).
4. FX LOOP (BOUCLE FX)
La boucle FX en série raccorde
l’amplicateur à un effet externe (niveau
nominal -10dBV). La prise jack Send est
connectée à l’entrée de l’unité d’effet
externe, et la prise jack Return est
connectée à la sortie de l’unité d’effet
externe.
Remarque : La prise jack Send peut servir
au raccordement d’un ampli de puissance
externe. Cela ne dispense pas de brancher
un haut-parleur à l’étage de sortie de
l’amplicateur. Voir l’avertissement sur la
Fonction de panneau arrière 1.
Le jack Return peut servir à brancher un
préampli supplémentaire.

5. FUSIBLE HT
Pour remplacer les fusibles qui ont sauté,
passer par le porte-fusible monté sur
panneau. Au besoin, le fusible HT saute
pour protéger les circuits internes. Cela
se produit parfois en cas de panne de la
soupape de sortie.
Remarque : ne remplacer que par un
fusible dont la valeur correspond à celle
indiquée sur le panneau arrière. Avant
de changer les fusibles, il est impératif
d’éteindre l’amplicateur et de le
débrancher de la source d’alimentation
électrique. En cas de doute, demander
conseil à votre revendeur Marshall.
6. ENTRÉE SECTEUR
Brancher l’amplicateur à la source
d’alimentation secteur.
Remarque : la prise d’entrée secteur
comporte un compartiment fusible intégré.
Vérier que la valeur des fusibles de
rechange correspond à l’étiquette sur le
panneau arrière de l’amplicateur. Il est
impératif de commencer par éteindre et
débrancher l’alimentation électrique de
l’entrée secteur avant de tenter d’accéder
au compartiment fusible. En cas de doute,
demander conseil à votre revendeur
Marshall.
